That P-40 crash at 6:30 was quite literally 'jaw dropping'...
He 'fell for it'.
i laughed really hard at that one. he was about to have a small crash, but managed to escalate it into a big one. it looks like you smash something on the ground when you are really angry
He used ailerons at slow speed then pulled elevator, and maybe incorrect rudder, full flaps in a strong crosswind is not a good practice either, tip stall, classic.

It's a pleasure to watch, not because of crashes but because of how pilots manage to reduce damages as much as possible. Very impressive.
First, damn these things are awesome!!! I applaud the effort and skills of the pilots and builders. Second, these people must have a ton of spare time and money to delve into this hobby. Not only is it fun for the builders/operators but when you can also entertain people and bring smiles to their faces as they watch you just simply doing what you love, that is a huge bonus :)

Wow! This is great! So much time, effort and love made into these machines and putting everything on risk on the field. But this is what make this hobby so exciting! The risk factor is VERY important and should not be underestimated.
+Mats Jonsson A little less time building and a little more time flying could have lowered the risk factor.

That first flame-out was a lucky result - just enough height to land again.
Some other lucky escapes but also some real painful 'ouch' moments! Hate seeing planes get hurt at all, let alone destroyed. Great selection Horst, even if a bit traumatic!!
+ChrisB257 _Thank you for yonother great comment, Chris. Much appreciated!!!_
Yes, the plane with the flame-out had enough height and speed to reach even the runway. Unfortunately it landed in the grass and therefore the gear got damaged.
Also this year I had to edit out some hardcore shots, because I do not want that the pilots will not be disgraced and besides, it would not be good for our hobby.
*_Hope you've had a great Xmas, my friend!_* Cheers, Horst
+RCScaleAirplanes AMEN to that my friend!

I just stumbled upon these type of videos and i gotta say, that looks like a very fun hobby! those WW2 planes flying in formation looked awesome and seeing one crash with the background effects really felt like a was watching some historical footage, very well done!
Thank you very much for your great comment !!!
Glad you understood the meaning of this video. I've captured thousands of flights and only this few MOMENTS were happen.
_Cheers_ 🤙😎
I was watching some tips from mike patey. That you need some throttle to maintain airflow over all the control surfaces. I'm trying(rc planes) it the last couple of weeks and no more stalls and larger angle of attack(still flying) It really helps!
For this big and heavy birds it also would help I guess.
Brasil. Só a felicidade de participar emociona... Parabéns a todos forte abraço sonho realizado.
Que parte que mostra o Brasil??
@0:22 wow, flame-out after take-off and such a brilliant recovery with a moderate crash-landing, that takes some skill. Kudos to the pilot. @5:56 Tower to pilot: please hop down the runway and report when you are eventually done with landing... :-)
Thanks for the honesty. "Warts and all". Some of those aircraft took up farming!
I know I've commented on this before, but I swear that poor P40 is a real "hard luck" ship.

Have to say, that first one was an amazing recovery after the flameout. He's lucky he got as much altitude as he did.
Actually very bad work on the elevator for the entire flight. RIsky.
And another AWESOME video my friend!!!! 😀👍🏼 I love the sound affects part where the war bird hits the power lines. Lol. Great job on that!! I just don't understand why in the world the pilot was holding full right rudder on the airliner that hits the fence.?! It looked like he never really tried to correct it out of it. 😏 Anyways... Great job on editing as always!!!! 😉👍🏼 Not I know why just about every field over there has a fence on the flight line. Because a lot of them are not that great at taking off or landing but they CAN fly pretty good tho. BAHAHAHAHA 😆
+Chad Cole _Thank you for your great comment, my dear friend_ Please excuse my delayed answer.
I really like the scene of the 3 warbirds where one of them is "shot down". It was really hard to find the matching audio ... *loool*
The airliner at 1:30 probably has inverted the setup for the rudder ... therefore the rudder worked to the opposide direction. *SHIT HAPPEN*
The fence (or net at some airfields) should protect the spectators. Not only at take off or landings, but also if a plane in flight get out of control.
_Have a nice day my friend !_

I was doing pretty good on that first L39 until I hit a gopher hole. Ha. Needless to say it's been fixed and it still flys today.
Oh man 4:46, with the reenactments of war sounds (sirens and machine guns), that one war bird clipped by a power line looked like it was shot by enemy fire.
Im wondering if the siren was real and iif it was what it was for
chuimon slp yeah and the pilot was thinking "wtf? Did I just get shot down??!"
Next time put your time mark at the beginning of what your commenting on NOT THE END. The time mark should be 4:35

Looks like a dope Hobby !
As a pilot, it's crazy that these small RC planes, especially the multi-engine ones, like the C320 (which I fly) that crashed 3:55 do exactly the same thing that the real deal does. (Idk why they are all airplanes and should behave as such). I've seen real planes do VMC rolls, and it looked exactly like what the C320 in this video did. The plane gets below its critical airspeed, and with one engine failed, the yaw from the working engine is too much for the rudder to compensate. This video is a textbook example of that.
Thank you for your great comment, which I really appreciate !!!
And that engine failure at rotation on that 737...we train for that all the time at the airlines and damn, was that exactly what it would do (if uncontrolled obviously)

7:40 oohhhh loser

hes saying "ohhh lothar, you dont have to drive over the lighting" lothar is a name
The biggest mistake with training new pilots is not enough stress put on using the rudder. Learn the rudder!!!!! Save yourself some pain.
LaDesten, I'd have to re-watch it to get specific time markers. But I recall a few where they were trying to steer the final approach using the ailerons. I think there was a couple where they were already on the ground and the plane was turning off the runway area and I didn't see any attempt to counter steer at all, the rudder remained straight.
+Kevin Loughin +LaDesten Here's a great example when rudder should have been used although a fast drop like that was likely a tip stall and overcorrection. ruclips.net/video/px79QbDjfec/видео.htmlm35s
+Kevin Loughin Some Left rudder for the airliner in the first part of the video would have saved the front cockpit from ramming into the fence!
+RKRC Rudder and get those flaps up could have saved the situation. That and an of field landing.
+zwanso watch the tail closesly. His rudder suddenly gets jammed hard right. looked like a mechanical failure to me.
That a 10 was VERY smooth tho
Some of those landings remind me of easy jet flights, you need to cling onto your Rosary Beads.
They really need to have RC emergency vehicles that come to the rescue!
Also with a fire extinguisher for those crazy ones with turbine engines
