What's the difference between 6.60 PRO-C and 6.61 PRO-C? Also what are the benefits of installing Infinity on a PSP 1000? I thought PSP 1000 had permanent CFW? And if a PSP 1000 is on 6.60 PRO-C is it worth it / possible to update the CFW to 6.61 PRO-C?
This isn't working on my 2000 model unit. I get to the part where after the black screen it loads the firmware update screen but when I try to press start it claims the same firmware is already installed. I followed your old tutorial to load 6.61(infinity), the Pro version
i tried this but for some reason my psp just shuts off every single time i try to downgrade it and reup grade it i followed all the steps to the letter yet for some reason it isnt working and its kinda getting frustrating
Thank you for the update. from 2 PSP's (2004 & 3004) one worked fine one got bricked. Had problems with charger port, and after erasing firmware wouldn't read the sd card. I closed it for good, it won't power on...Such a nice brick. Could I revive it?

I did install LME CFW last day with Infinity 2.0 on my PSP Go but have the bug with the paused game so i want to switch to Pro CFW. Is this the appropriate way? Because on the githup of chronoswitch it says „If you're downgrading a PSPgo, make sure you download the official firmware appropriate for that device.“ I just want to downgrade from CFW to stock 6.61 and from there to Pro via Infinity 2.0? I don't really know what Infinity does for me. Last time i modded my PSP, i used a pandora and putt m33 firmware on the card. Intalled m33 and done it was permanent. And if i modified something or backup i used recovery and flash0 flash1 and so on. Talking about PSP1000 here. What is the difference now? Can you please explain? I want to dust of my PSP and do some modding again. Thank you :)
@@ThePsychoBoiz I was in the same boat as you a while back, I used pandora battery to install CFW on my psp1000, then I lost it, then years later found it again. I had forgotten what firmware I had and how I did it. So I wanted to start over again, I followed MrMario2011 previous guide to get my psp1000 back to stock and installed everything again. I recommend starting all over again, just follow his guide and your good to go.

Ok I managed to update. If anyone has the same problem, use vhs menu to access your flash0 by usb cable. Inside the folder vhs/etc modify the text file named 'version'. From 9.90 to 5.50. Now you can update following the same procedure showed on the older video of MrMario: creating a MAKER and UPDATE folder with the right files inside.
Just a suggestion, but could you do a tutorial on how to replace the shell on PSP's, there are very little video guides on how to do this and the ones that do exist are from 2010 and are 480p

Infinity 2.0 just allows permanent CFW on every single PSP model, something which wasn't possible until a few months ago.

Might try to redownload and recopy it all over, as you can see this was done on a PSP-3000 with no issue.

My firmware is not supported by Chronoswitch... my vhs menu reads "5.50 VHS MENU"
