Just like to say thank you so much for your vids and time, I finally got everything installed using this video, I’m basically a pc virgin but found it so easy to follow your video and actually get it to work on my 2000 psp. I tried following other vids but some where so confusing and were giving different instructions to put some files in root and I was so frustrated coz it wouldn’t work lol you have a new subscriber 😊
So good to have people like you who still create content for us PSP users. Very clear and informative instructions. Also good presentation such that we can always hear your voice clearly and know exactly what you are saying. Also for those who can't find the Sony page that he is on, use wayback machine to find the old version of the page. I believe Sony has removed that page believing that there are no more people who would need to download the latest PSP firmware.
I just bought a PSP 3000, coming in a few days or so. I love this video! It is really easy to grasp and understand, and thank you for helping people in the comments!
It works well if you follow exactly through the directions. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was always afraid to do it as a kid because I didn't have the money to buy another psp, now I was able to Modd two psps at the same time. Thank you
OMG Thank you! I followed another tutorial and it corrupted the data. Nothing opened not even Retroarch. I knew I might have missed a folder somewhere and that was it. I just started over with your video and its working. Thank you again.
Hey man! Killer video. Thanks. All works. A quick question - if I decide to swap the memory stick card (for example for a bigger capacity) will I have to re-do any steps?
hey thx for the tutorial, it was super easy to follow and seems to work. on version 6.60 u used to copy over the seplugin folder as well. I am just starting out and many of your tutorials say u have to copy some files to the seplugins folder which doesnt exist following these steps. just creating one didnt seeme to work. I am referring to the categories lite installation here
Hi Robles, Before the install I want to back up the games I have on my system currently. For some reason I can not find anything that shows how to backup to the PC and then put back on the PSP from the PC. This way I can keep the games I have know before the CFW. Because when I format the internal memory to do the CFW install, I will loose my games. This is for a PSP GO. I have already tried to just backup the games folder to windows 10 PC and when I put the fold back into the same area on the PSP GO , I got the thumbnails with sound but got currupt file when I choose any of the game to play. What did I do wrong? I can't believe I can't find and video or info on this. Only old ones that say to use an APP that is no longer supported. BTW Love your videos...Great work....
Hi... Thank you very much for this clear explanation... I have two questions... I have already performed CFW installation, and have couple of emulators on it... However, when I run PS1 games (ISO downloaded online), the PSP would shut down and I need to do PRO Recovery... With Emulators (in most cases) I didn't experience such issues... Could it be due to faulty CFW? If so, my two questions would be: 1. How can I reset FW to get it back to stock (bear in mind I did not install Infinity 2.0 so far), so that I can follow the procedure in the video? 2. Does the CFW explained in the video support PS1 games ISO running from SD Card?
what cfw are you using? try flashing pro-c fix 3. Just download the file and flash them without going back to the stock. try reading the comments from this website cdromance.com/psx2psp-eboots/final-fantasy-vii-usa-psn/
Hi. I have 80,000 questions for you. jk, lol. But the one for this tutorial is: Can I uninstall the custom firmware that I have now, and install the firmware you have shown. I have also now subd to your channel. Love the way you explain everything. 👍
had to do the last 2 steps twice because the psp was not shutting down completely for some reason and was showing the MAC address even though there was the infinity logo next to 6.61 pro.. relaunching the CFW and selecting the module again did the trick..
playstation is no longer offering the 6.61 download. What now? :( edit: I was able to download the update throught the psp itself by connecting it to the wi-fi, did everything you said and shazam! it works like magic! thank you so much!!
Hi i notice that in the video you download 6.61 Pro-C 2 however you placed a link for the 6.62 Pro-C 2 .. am i spouse to install 6.61 Pro-C 2? your help is appreciated.. stay safe
Got Psp today in the mail and it has 3.52 M33-4 system software, it will not update to 6.61 system software, it give me psp the game could not be started dadadada error, do you know how to fix it?
I have a question! I got an SD card, 64GB, and the adapter. Formatted the card to FAT32. Whenever I put the adapter w/card into the slot on my PSP, it just shuts the PSP off. I don't have a battery, waiting on that, and it's not already running custom firmware/homebrew - do I need either/both of those things for it to work?
Hey updated to CFW using an earlier tutorial of yours so I'm at 6.60 Pro-C but when I try to update to 6.61, the data is corrupted. Can I still update? Is there a major difference between 6.61 and 6.60 in terms of gameplay?
I have an old psp1001 that I haven't used in years and its probably been well over 10 years since I've done any kind of mods to it. My system is currently on 3.71 m33-3. Is it safe or am I even able to Update to 6.61? Thanks in advance!
Hi need an answer here, can you still play online games / connect to psn / buy and or download from ps store with the cfw? I've just repaired my psp1000 today after 8 year finally back from dead :D
Congrats, but the PSN is dead for PSP. Still alive for Vita though. There is no longer any support on the PSP. Best option is to emulate, homebrew, etc.
Hi, good day. Once I completed the procedure, can I delete all the saved files on the tutorial and format the memory card? Will it affect the hack? Thank you.
I'm having an issue where Pro installer loads up then skips the words for a split second then I'm sent back to the home screen causing my psp to not get CFW, did I do something wrong?
You will need to either get them from your own collection and back up those files on your pc or simply download them online, there are tones of great sites.
What if I used the cool flasher before I seen this video? Can I still install ♾️? Btw I did as you said on the video and it's still showing up as corrupted data.... Please help?!
games dont appear on my PSP 3004, sorry but this doesnt seem to work. On 6.60 , some playable but others not playable -- castlevania, bomberman , jetpack (*all games downloaded on NET) ..😪
I have a old psp go but when I connect it with cable it just charging the pc don't see it. do I need a new cable for it and do I really need a data card(m2) for my psp to recognizing by the pc
Technically speaking yes. Flashing the ipl allows CFW to instantly boot. Whereas the infinity is basically the fast recovery app (the exploit launches after the OFW is launched). While you can install infinity on earlier PSP models it wasn't created for that purpose. In fact infinity was made for just the Street model. It just so happens that infinity works all PSP models.
guys is that not impact to network connection and play with other psp console( i want to do this but i not wanna lose chance to play pvp in tekken with my friend :> )
Why do people cover their MAC address? Ever since 2009 when I was hacking my PSP I always saw this on tutorials and no one knows why they do it but they do it.
to play games you need to copy all the files you need off of your old memory stick, format it, it will create ISO folder, to where you can drag any games you wanna play don't forget to copy back your files!
Is it different from 6.61 pro-c? Because everytime my battery is removed, the pro update disappears so I need to install the update everytime so that I can play the games
Its easier to recommend infinity as a catch all for all psps but its not the correct method for 1000s/early 2000s. Without getting into the technicals flashing the cipl is flat out better.
not much of a difference, but it doesn't enable you to use the 6.61 themes, and future builds that will be worked on 6.61. Its best to update that way when a new homebrew is released you won't go through the trouble of updating it. Also, there are bug fixes here and there.
Thanks
Thank you Sir, this video was greatly helpful 🎉😊

even though i started hacking my psp since 2011, watching this kind of videos still makes my heart beat fast like its the first time haha.
Recently bought a few PSPs (I already have a couple Vitas) and I can't wait to do this with them. Thank you so much for making this easy!
Thank you so much! After 4 different videos, you saved my psp, that was sleeping for almost 8 years haha
Awesome man, worked great. Don't know how you don't have more views, keep up the good work. Definitely subscribing
I just got a new battery and charger for my PSP 3K, and I forgot everything about installing CFW to the PSP. This video really helps me! Thanks!
wow i cant believe people are still doing this in 2020- this is great
2021 💯

thanks for the walk-thru and info, this was very precise and detailed, I truly appreciate that. Have a great day
love how he goes step by step and with clear instructions !💯
wow thanks for this easy and very good tutorial. seems to be working so far, I had psp 3003 with 6-61 installed. It was on the shelf for 8 years
Hey man! Killer video. Thanks. All works. A quick question - if I decide to swap the memory stick card (for example for a bigger capacity) will I have to re-do any steps?
Nope you will be good to go after you format it in the settings. You iwll however have to copy over your games and plugins.
Robles Junior thanks man!

hello trying this one year after you posted this but the first playstation link takes me to another screen and there is no 6.61 firmware available
had to do the last 2 steps twice because the psp was not shutting down completely for some reason and was showing the MAC address even though there was the infinity logo next to 6.61 pro.. relaunching the CFW and selecting the module again did the trick..
Nice, glad it worked for you.
Pls i need help the pro c link dont work what can i do?
What is the suggested size of sd card if you want psp,ps1 and most emulators and retro games
playstation is no longer offering the 6.61 download. What now? :(

Hey Man! nice tutorial. I am having a problem though, whenever I restart my psp only the infinity is permanently installed not the 6.61 pro c.

how do you get to the place where you downloaded the newest version of PSP??
Thank you! Very clear and easy to follow tutorial :-)
Hvala ti do neba-ti si kralj! 💙
Which firmware is better?? 6.60 PRO-C INFINITY or 6.61 PRO-C INFINITY?? What’s the difference??

Downgrade using cronoswitch downgrader then install 6.61ofw then install 6.61cfw

I just wanna say thank ou so much man
Can you use 6.61 c2 without infinity?...since I have psp 3004 that can't be unbricked from permanent cfw
Yeah its not an issue.
So it can't brick if you dont use infinity?
So where can you find game ROMs and how do you get them to the PSP so they are playable?
I have a psp 1000 on pro c. The older infinity didnt work on the 1000 model. Now it does? What are advantages over pro c?
its a much easier hack and permanent for most PSP Models.
it doesn't go to a download. its just a license agreement page
im running same cfw but wo the infinity sym. whats the difference?
will it be permanently installed on the 3000 model too?
I feel like i know why this video exists.
I'm having an issue where Pro installer loads up then skips the words for a split second then I'm sent back to the home screen causing my psp to not get CFW, did I do something wrong?
Hey you know that the 1st link in your video is not the same page is there another way to get the licensed 6.61 update onto my psp-3000 lmk
🙂 I was wondering, if you can help me, with getting infinity 2.0 on my psp 3000?
Do you have to have fat32 installed or can you go on with out it
Great that its hacked, but where do we get game files to put on the memory stick, or is there something on the hack that gives us psp and ps1 games?
You will need to either get them from your own collection and back up those files on your pc or simply download them online, there are tones of great sites.

I have the 660 files with the 6.61 update and it doesn't work, where do i find the version 661 files like those that are seen in the video?
Is it true that I can make a a WWE SVR 2006 PSP mod and play it in my PSP console?
Followed all the steps... but my system seem to have crashed... not coming on when I tried to reboot
What’s the difference between pro C and NFW?
Can I delete all the left over files that has been used to update to CFW after its done patching to perma cfw?
Can i delete the remaining files on my stick after this? thxs
the playlist wasnt in the description can you reply with it
Does this mod work for the PSP over 9000?
From what I understand only the 1000 and 2000 models have a real permanent flash right? The 3000 and Go are just hybrid firmware.
Does infinity work with LME cf 6.61or only with pro c?
works with both
Is it ok? If i delete all of the files after finishing the hack.
guys is that not impact to network connection and play with other psp console( i want to do this but i not wanna lose chance to play pvp in tekken with my friend :> )
Where can I download games because non of the games work with this .....please help
So what are these fully capable of now??? What WONT they play??
Like ps2 and up, can play all sorts of retro titles
Why do people cover their MAC address? Ever since 2009 when I was hacking my PSP I always saw this on tutorials and no one knows why they do it but they do it.
So people don’t find out their address
to play games you need to copy all the files you need off of your old memory stick, format it, it will create ISO folder, to where you can drag any games you wanna play
don't forget to copy back your files!
Is it different from 6.61 pro-c? Because everytime my battery is removed, the pro update disappears so I need to install the update everytime so that I can play the games
This hack is Permanent so you wont be doing that all the time. You may have not flashed it correctly after installing the CFW.
@@RoblesJunior so what should I do? Delete the files and install the infinity 2?
So with this I can download and use Iso games?
Its easier to recommend infinity as a catch all for all psps but its not the correct method for 1000s/early 2000s. Without getting into the technicals flashing the cipl is flat out better.
So the method he’s doing is not good for 1000 models?
After successfully installing everything, can I delete the files on the PSP?
Yes, it shouldn't be an issue.
@@RoblesJunior Thanks! You're the GOAT. I've installed so many games from your tutorial 👌👌
Awesome, so Glad I could help!
i need the software update just to access the internet
I have an N1000(PSP GO), but it says the update is incompatible, anyone has any idea how to fix this?
You will need then need to find the PSP GO Update File. You will need to search the web for it.
@@RoblesJunior I found it by this time but thanks, I hope this information is useful. It was hard to find, actually...

Can a psp go get hacked using a MacBook Pro?? Thanx in advance
Yes not a problem.

Does this work with psp go as well ?
Never mind I just got to the part where you said it works for it as well

Do you have a tutorial for 6.60 pro ME
I just got a street 1000 going to watch this video vary carefully I don't won't nothing to go wrong
After that, can I delete the files?
Yeah u can
