Oh man ya'll have it easy. I remember creating pandora batteries just to add custom firmware. Glad that everyone is still working on making this an easier process.
Haha those things were stressful trying to break the correct pin on the battery to make it into a pandora battery. I accidentally punctured a battery and a shit ton of smoke came out of one time. Had to buy my cousin a new battery. Did you guys know you could use lead from a mechanical pencil to turn them back into normal usable batterys?
This tutorial was great. I love this firmware because it doesn't change how the PSP feels at all. This with a new screen, 128gb SD, and a new shell really brought my 2000 model back to life.
It's really working for me like a charm after I got a new 128GB micro sd and MS Pro Duo Adapter in my mail today. I can finally play my favorite PS1 games on my PSP at any time. Thank you so much for this tutorial video you made!
@@DooleyPriceless Which games are you trying to transfer to your PSP? PS1 or PSP games? And I downloaded some PSP/PS1 games from CDRomance that are legal and safe.

I remember I downloaded an IR Remote control program on my psp, and during class, id randomly turn the class tv on with it hahah. The teacher got super confused, and mad after about the third time. Hahaha good times.
The 1000 and 2000 is the only way to go guys. Those two models get the permanent flash custom firmware and you can store hundreds of gigabytes with an SD adapter. The 3000 has scanlines and the Go has tiny buttons that are not comfortable and there are no good adapters to increase storage for it. The few adapters that exist require a ribbon that extrudes out of the body of the PSP Go.

Thanks I just used your video and modded my PSP. I just need to add games and get a bigger memory card. Do you have a video on how to do this. Do you just download a game and then move it into the PSP/GAME folder
There is not much of a difference. With Installing infinity, you're basically just having permanent Custom Firmware without the issue of rebooting back into CFW. The Flasher which I show in the video does just that. I have been using it for months now and testing new mods and homebrew and I have yet to see a problem with the CFW. Infinity gets a little complicated when you want to update to Infinity 2.0. You have to uninstall Infinity 1 and then install 2.0. The Update on 2.0 is very minor but lets PSP street users (E1000) to finally enter the hacking scene. I believe this is the easiest way to have Custom Firmware with a basic PSP 1000 or 2000 model. There really is no difference when it comes down to it unless you're a developer.

I am worried I may “brick” my psp. Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Also, liked to ask what is the best memory stick to use as far as GB storage? How many GB can I go up to? Is it better to go with a bigger memory stick pro duo, or a micro sd with an adapter? Again, all help appreciated. I’m an older generation gamer. (53) Looking to download games from my glory days. Atari 2600, NES, Sega, etc...
Heck yeah, thanks for stopping by I appreciate it. I would definitely upgrade the firmware as this helps and ensure stability, efficiency and better gameplay. You will NOT brick your PSP if you update to the current Official firmware. If you stick with old firmware and hack it with custom firmware, you will see more crashes, bugs, and you will have to use old emulators that may not run roms/games well. With the new update custom firmware you are able to do so much and use the updated emulators for best game-play experience. As far as memory goes, you can go as high as you want depending on what you plan on doing. Memory stick pro duos are by the far best for speed, micro adapters tend to lag just a little but its not much. I would go with the micro sd adapter as its much cheaper and more bang for your buck. The pro duos are far more expensive. I can do an in depth video review for you and for everyone else!
I keep getting error messages all over the screen when using this saying ‘internal error’ or ‘serious error occurred.’ I’m not sure why this is. Is it something to do with my console? I followed the steps exactly.
where do we find the games? I just came across a psp i had YEARS ago, dusty as hell but turned right on after 30 mins charge. i wanna load it up and give it to my sons
I have a 2000 running 5.00 m33-4 I believe. This should work the same way you updated your m33-6 1000, correct? I have had that firmware on that PSP since 2009 when I got the psp and I think its time to upgrade now haha
Do I need to keep all those files on my memory card after everything is done? The pro update, the flasher, the recovery, the official firmvare update? Or I can just delete them from card and use all the space for games?
Hi I’m a noob at all this. Recently dusted off my 1000 from 2006 it’s got software 3.52 how do I update it? When I connect the PSP to my computer the only 2 files it has is SAVEDATA and SYSTEM not the game file to do this process…

Question, once you install the custom firmware, can you still play psp games on the system?
Where do you go to download the games? Will it run GBA games as well as ps1/ps2 games?
What is the USB your using?
Data is just corrupted every time I check downloaded games for the cfw install, what do I do?
Hi there. I’m wondering if It’s safe to still follow this seeing that its an older video, or if you have a more recent one for the PSP 1000?

Do I need to keep all those files on my memory card after everything is done? The pro update, the flasher, the recovery, the official firmvare update? Or I can just delete them from card and use all the space for games?

Hey I have a couple of old psps I would like to try this with, do you have a video explaining what it does and what u can do on it with this software installed?
I do not but i can make one soon!
So for the 2000 we can just have all the files on the memory stick, then update the console and repeat the same steps for the software ?
