- In this video, I will show you how easy it is to mod any PSP using the Ark4 Custom Firmware and Infinity 2 to take advantage of homebrew from the community or to load your own backed-up games from its internal memory stick! The Sony PSP has been available since December 2004 in Japan and in that time the system has been home to several classic titles and homebrew experiences. In 2024, the PSP Scene is still strong and the wealth of content for it is still available to players with a modified system.

Great video! I'm new to PSP modding and could use some guidance. Could you explain the differences between Ark and Infinity? If I understand correctly, Ark allows me to soft boot into a firmware, letting me back up games and reset the device back to stock easily. Is that right?
Also, if I install Infinity, is it reversible? If I decide to sell my PSP, can I restore it to stock without much hassle, or is it a lengthy process?

Yes, you can always choose to just run ark on each boot instead of doing infinity. It is easy to remove infinity with the same installer.

I have problem after i launch the ark loader program it loads the ark stuff but when im back to the psp's XMB i can't control anything dpad does not work same with the other controls aside from brightness and volume buttons need help how to solve this issue.

Infinity 2 just turns off my psp when trying this :(
Screen on my PSP goes black after trying to open Infinity. And PSP turns off himself so I need to turn it on again. What could be the fix here. I am on 6.61 fw psp 3003.
Go back over file placement
i have the same problem. did you solve it?
Try cycling power button while holding home button for a few seconds. If you’re having trouble with it try that out. Don’t let go of home until you see all your drop down menus.
@@mxmksn5434 sorry for a bit late reply. what helped is installing Infinity the first ( butdon't open it yet), and then ark4 and to the steps installing steps needed for ark4 (from 6:19) and then open infinity and do the rest (from 8:26). I hope that helps.

can you remove the files after? ark folder and infinity
Don't touch any of the ark files and folders. You can get rid of infinity if you want to.
