After the 5th time you said "PSP in 2023" I gave up
Tiramisu Layer Cake
1 (15.25 ounce) package moist white cake mix
1 cup water
3 large egg whites
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
Coffee Syrup:
¼ cup coffee
1 tablespoon coffee flavored liqueur
Filling:
1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
½ cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur
Frosting:
2 cups heavy cream
¼ cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur
Garnish:
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (1 ounce) square semisweet chocolate

I picked up a PSP with OS 1.0 on its release date in Japan in December 2004... Later that low version was the best hackable one so I treasured it and never updated it... I guess now it doesn't really matter anymore :D
That's awesome, I remember getting mine way back can't believe it's almost been 20 years since this came out! Now unless you're a collector and want to keep it original, hacking is the way to go! Mind you I hacked mine way back with a weird hack that I remember you had to do something with the photo viewer to soft hack it. It's so easy now plus you can un hack it easily too!
Lmao outstanding content.... in 2023😌😏 just did this shxt on my 3000 after battery came in & replacement screen diy. GOW chains of Olympus was my fave. My God this process was way easier than haking my 3ds about a month ago🙄😒. Please🙌any recommendations on where to get the games in power iso file?
The 3DS is fun to hack especially when you have read things 4-5 times to make sure you didn't forget a step lol. The PSP has come a long way since the very first time I hacked one way way back. @DNAMobileGaming Would the process be the same if I were to just use a Memory Stick? Obviously I would need an adapter for my PC still, but would it work the same and whatnot?
If you're just using the original memory card it would be the same you just need access to it and these Micro SD adapters are amazing.

I remember hacking my PSP and my Vita which was super easy because you just went to a website and pressed a button and tada! You have a hacked Vita, so cool!
I think that's how the vita is now, the PSP however there was a trick like flashing an image file then turning off the PSP or something I can't remember that far back it was literally 15 ish years ago lol
@@DNAMobileGaming oh yea I vaguely remember that, it was a lot more complicated back then but still really cool once it was done and what could be done with it being modded/jailbroken

The PSP Era for me has a lot of history! I remember my buddy and I would try to steal some random persons wifi when we'd sit at the town kazeebo to get movies from Lime Wire 🤣
I just changed the face plate on mine, and ordered a new LCD screen coming in the mail. This was on my list of things to do. So weird.
I can't wait until my parts arrive, I haven't taken a PSP apart in years!

The 6.61 link nor the 6.6 link are working. Just does the "Does not support your FW" screen. and I did make sure to extract each file
Edit: It's because my PSP wasn't updated to the System 6.61 update. I just figured out how to install that update and now the 6.61 link on your description worked.

on a side note my psp has 4.01 m33-2 will this work still ?
I didn't have to do that back in the day the hack I did involved a trick when turning on the device. I can't remember what it was exactly but something to do with placing firmware on the memory stick then quickly navigating to photos and it would glitch the console to be soft hacked. I remember the Pandora battery hack too I think my buddy had that.
I'm pretty sure that's an already hacked version? If you can find a way to upgrade to 6.61 then you can hack it this way.
@@DNAMobileGaming yeah it is a modded version, but I'm having a hard time finding a way to go from 4 to 5 then to 6. As I've read I need to do this way to avoid problems

Question say once you've hacked it but you ran out of storage and you want to
upgrade your sd card so that it's bigger will that mess up the psp and do you need to transfer the files from the SD card with the hacked cfw to another SD card once you've upgraded the storage size

P.S I have a PSP 2001 and I just updated the system to 6.61 but right now I'm using a 256 mb card
And I do intend to to upgrade it to a 64 GB card with adapter
Yes you can copy the SD card files I did this already because I forgot how big PSP/PSX games are. So I now have a 64GB but it's not full and not recommended to completely fill it because it'll take longer to load games.

Did you restart your PSP?
This is very easy and all, however I keep getting the disk is write protected message whenever I plugin my card into my PC. I tried fixing it with the command prompt, editing the registry and I also made sure that there is no switch on the card itself. You do not address this at all in the video.
EDIT: After hours of trying to unlock the card, what worked was the tape trick.
I never had this happen in the video sounds like something was messed up on your end perhaps. Not sure what the tape trick is either but all I did was insert my SD card into my adapter and it worked fine.
is formatting the PSP necessary? cuz i connect my psp to my laptop and my files arent showing up
It's only necessary if you don't have those folders also did you make sure to select USB connection?

help, my PSP screen goes black when I click the update firmware APP and it wont come back on.
Why are you clicking the update firmware app? Did you follow the guide? You need to be on either 6.61 or 6.60 as well, otherwise the hack won't work. I just removed an old hack from years ago on another PSP, upgraded it to 6.61 and used my own guide to re hack it last week. So make sure you follow this through, jump to Discord if you need more help some might be able to help you there.

the 61 file is diffrent than the 60 file and the 60 files arent working
What is the 60 file? Like you can't download it?
Also the reason it's different is because the one file doesn't work for 6.61 if you're on 6.61 then use 6.61 like shown if you're OK 6.60 then use 6.60 like shown. They surely do work.

Yeah it was, I mean they had Gamegear and Gameboy but the PSP had mini disc's that played full fledged games like GTA Vice City!

I wonder if I should get a modded ps vita, modded psp, modded gamecube or a wii portable. I really want to work with a true non emulator thing but don't know yet.
PS Vita if you have PS Vita games you want to play then any PSP,PSONE, and other retro emulation will work great. Otherwise PSP phat is the way to go for me at least!

Oh I know what you're referring to you don't need that I never used this either in the guide just follow the steps around the 3 minute mark and you'll be flashed in no time.
How about pulling movies from a UMD?

Hey make sure the game is legit and fully downloaded or extracted properly. Was the game compressed originally into a zip or 7z file?

I have a modded PSP 1000 : [Software System 5.00 M33-2 version]. It's been years I haven't turned on my PSP...Is it worth upgrading ? Can I use your method ? Because I am scared to install a mod over a mod and brick my PSP.
Hey no you can't use this mod but you can try to remove the hack upgrade and re hack. My other PSP is already hacked with an old hack too and I planned to do this, I just haven't yet.

Hi, sorry me again. I have downloaded the pro files but when I open the pro update file it says on the psp “sorry this program doesn’t support your fw(0x060110)”. I have a psp 1000 - is there anything I can do? Or do you know what the issue is

yo i been tryna mod my psp 1000 everytime i launch the pro update or any of those things it says cfw not supported i’m on version 3.9 and i’m havin trouble
2 Things this is only for 6.6/6.61 so you need to update to those versions for this method, also make sure you haven't already hacked your PSP or anyone else hasn't in the past I found out my second PSP was already hacked so this wasn't working for me either.

When I open up Pro Update, my screen just stays black. Do you know why that could be?
Did you make sure your PSP wasn't hacked already? I found out my second one was hacked with an old method so this method won't work. Check by navigating to your firmware version.

Make sure to check your firmware, I just quickly popped over to a reddit post and I thought this too. Make sure to extract the hack files don't just copy them out of the zipped directory. Then confirm which firmware your PSP is on as this works on 6.6 and 6.61

Don't delete the firmware you'll need it if you do a hard shut down of the PSP.

Of course you can copy as many games you have if need be.

You should always backup your saves firstly, however you can copy the firmware to the games folder and run it I always just format my cards before hacking anything be it the Switch/Wii/3DS and backup anything that is on it already.

where do you get your games from?
Games are backed up from original game carts from way back in the day. Here's a good guide for today's standards after you hack it you can dump any games you like mind you Google can help too. www.ppsspp.org/docs/getting-started/dumping-games/

From backups of your games of course which are in the form of EBOOT roms

@kwstasmpr of course or know someone that has a backup for the game maybe shared with you via a cloud storage drive. Also since we cannot get games at retail anymore I'm sure it would be feasible to find them using Google easily.
