I've done 2 of your tutorials this far and took apart my computer about a month ago and am too lazy to put it back together, but I always watch your videos because there's so much variety and they're just interesting to watch! Marty, you've done it again!
I can't stop admiring you.I was looking for such a tutorial.I was almost certain the RUclips would suggest your channel for this.I am so glad I am going to watch this now.Thank you once more.
Dude you always surprise me with new stuff and i learn pretty much everything but unfortunately some stuff can't work in my laptop because it's old and so damn laggy but it does the job for me at least what i want for now and i'm happy with that
Great! I really love watching your tuts. This one I tweaked a little by adding a perspective to it at the final, and wow it looked even better and more realistic! Thanks!
Thank you so much for teaching us Marty!!! Years ago I saw a US map made out of water. It looked like it was made from a faucet drip on a nice clear gray background. Another version was the same map over a colorful paper so it was magnified through the water shape. It was amazing. Do you have something like that already done? Could you please show us how to make one? Man, you're great.
I love your voice and tutorials. I am a bit confused at around 8:10 of the video, (precisely right after you brush over the bright corner), the composite copy part and how that creates layer 3. Thank you!
Hi Marty - another easy to follow tutorial, thank you. Will you be doing any Christmas themed tutorials soon? I have seen your existing ones which are great! Thanks :)
I did a tutorial that has a workaround. Go to my YT channel & click on the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). In the “Search Channel” field, type in, “scary wall”. Open the bottom video and go to 4:10 in the timeline.
Great tutorials! I have learned so much from you. I have a question. Since we're using lighting effects wouldn't it be better to create a separate channel with the text and use it as a texture in the lighting effects?
Yes. After I recorded the tut, I realized that the light source should have been from the upper left. You can either make the light source from the upper left or invert the effects (bevel & emboss and the drop shadow).
Peace and Thanks for your wonderful tutorials... I attempted to download the meroitic hieroglyphics fonts and received and error message regarding some corruption in the file. Can you please assist me with this issue?
Why? Sorry, I'm from Germany and use a german version of Firefox. Under the window beside thumb up and down is an option "Info". Click there. And then click on "Mehr anzeigen" (perhaps "show more" in english), and now you see all links that work well.
Hey Marty.. i think u made a MISTAKE.. from where the light is shining the shadows of the text should be facing the other direction.. and thanx for the tutorial dude... u'r awsome if not the best on RUclips..
After I recorded the tut, I realized that the light source should have been from the upper left. To correct it, you can either make the light source from the upper left or invert the effects (bevel & emboss and the drop shadow).
And nobody noticed that the light should have been beaming in the opposite direction, because the text looks like it's sticking OUT OF, rather than it's been carved *INTO* the wall as the title suggests, so shadows fall upwards in the direction of a light source and the whole thing makes no sense? Not even the author?
hello, can anyone help me please??? I've never downloaded from video descriptions/project file, and I would like to get the background from this video. Thank you in advance, Daniela
Whenever you want to find the links to the files that I use in a tutorial, please go to its description, which is below the title of the video. Click "Show More" and scroll down. You will see all the info, as well as links to all the files that I use.

It's a personal choice. It's not necessarily better, but it's surely another way to achieve great results.
Don't know if it's just me, but this guy's voice is sooo soothing.
Fantastic tutorial Marty; I managed to replicate it almost as perfectly as your tutorial. Thanks David (in the UK)
I must say that you deserve that success.

I love your voice and tutorials. I am a bit confused at around 8:10 of the video, (precisely right after you brush over the bright corner), the composite copy part and how that creates layer 3. Thank you!
Sorry, it seems I skipped a step - Layer 3 is a composite snapshot. However, it's an unnecessary layer.

i just have one question: since the light come from above, shouldnt the shadows be on the opposite side?
Yes. After I recorded the tut, I realized that the light source should have been from the upper left. You can either make the light source from the upper left or invert the effects (bevel & emboss and the drop shadow).

Blue Lightning TV
i prefer the light source from the upper right so am going for inverting the effect// thanx Marty... Truely u'r the best...
Would you save it as CMYK mode to print it?
CMYK would give you a more realistic idea of what it would like like printed, however, it's not essential.
how i get background? i like it
Somebody knows if its possible to write gerogliphics on the gold and export the texture on 3ds max or another 3d modeling program?
And nobody noticed that the light should have been beaming in the opposite direction, because the text looks like it's sticking OUT OF, rather than it's been carved *INTO* the wall as the title suggests, so shadows fall upwards in the direction of a light source and the whole thing makes no sense? Not even the author?
lol. Nope. medium.com/intuitionmachine/anatomy-of-viral-illusion-170b36fb60c0
