My dad died racing the TT in 2004, he came off at quarry bends which I think you come up to at around the 8:45mark and he hit the mud embankment at around the 8:50 mark! He was going around 170-180mph when he came off!
I’ve been round this track hundreds if not thousands of times in various cars! I lived there for a short while and visited a lot! I have to say it looks incredibly realistic and accurate! Just about every house, wall, telegraph pole and back ground house etc is very well done!
My half brothers dad also crashed and died on the TT in 2006 at around the 33rd milestone in the mountains, fairly shortly after windy corner I believe! Just looked and I think he crashed at around the 16:18 mark and went off the side of the mountain! Doesn’t look that steep but steep enough when you go off at over 100mph! but he was racing in the Manx rather than the TT which is the same track, just older bikes, once you race the TT, you’re not allowed to go back to the Manx, my dad won the Manx in 99 and smashed every record at the time! When he won that he went for the TT and from what they told me the year he died, most people take quarry bends at more like 160mph if that, whereas he was nearer 180mph which a few riders have done and do, but basically they said I think it’s safe to say he was going for the win that year rather than just competing in it!
He was a good rider in his day! He won Daytona in 1991 I think it was, in some movie style ending but on bikes, it was the last lap and he was in second and coming into the final corner, turn 4, and in some days of thunder style he basically kept it pinned and kept it off the wall and took the guy on the outside and won by about half a front wheel! It was so close that the announcers actually claimed that the other guy won, but my dad went mad at them saying check the footage, I beat him, so they did check the footage and he indeed won by 1 tenth of a second! And back then Daytona being American and therefore American dominated, British people didn’t just go over there and win like that, so it was a big achievement at the time! His first go at Daytona!
He was also supposed to be racing in Moto GP too but back sometime in the 90’s when it all happened, basically it was between him and some other rider, and the one with the fastest lap time would get the seat, for the life of me I can’t remember their names, the name Steve allsop rings a bell but I could be wrong, but anyway the guy choosing who gets the seat, was friends with the other rider and they were both Scottish, my dad put in the best time and by a decent margin of like 1.1 seconds too, but the manager guy still went with the other guy! And I think that’s when his kind of mainstream racing career went up in smoke, and he set his sights on things like the TT! He still raced in all sorts but I think moto GP was the place where the big money was and would kind of solidify your name in the world of racing like no other, back then anyway! Today I think the TT is up there on that scale now in terms of big name riders and it’s on the TV etc, but in 2004 it was still more in the realm of fans of motorsport only! His name was Colin Breeze by the way!
Anyway I hope it continues and I hope they never ban it! I was happy to hear when this game was coming out as the first game is pretty dated now! I hope they expand on it too with stuff like mad Sunday! For those unfamiliar, during TT there’s a thing called mad Sunday where anyone with just about anything, is allowed to do a lap of the TT! So people do it in rally cars and super cars or retro cars like old escort RS turbos (my brother did it in one of them) and all sorts! It would be nice to have some cars to take around the track as well!
Years ago me and my brother chased a Ferrari around the TT and even though the Ferrari was clearly faster, we were in a 4.4L V8 BMW 540i so it wasn’t exactly slow, and because my brother knew the track so well we could keep up with him and it was a good laugh that day chasing him from Douglas to Ramsay, and then through the mountains back to Douglas!

Just purchased TT 2 on switch and wow,the speed and the feeling you get from controlling your bike is absolutely awesome,TT 2 on switch is definitely amongst the best experiences ive ever had on any racing game and the icing on the cake is definitely the sound of the wind,what an inspired decision it was to put that in the game

The idea of racing there is very dumb and dangerous, but I love how the bikes sound. In every other motorcycle game all the bikes sound like mopeds and here you can hear the power of those beasts. And you can use the wheel for control! The best motorcycle game.

There's a reason why I would refrain from using the racing line in this game. Some corners that say "slow down" should just have been coasted.

Even with the race line there are many sections that you can coast instead of using braking. Also many sections where you are braking for bends where you should be flat out. Try learning the sections one at a time until you have them then link it all. It's good game play but you are a bit slow and if you do this you won't be. Good luck.

Milestone is lazy. Look at motogp20. No big difference with last series. Just update rider and contrast.
I’ll say once you get the controller settings figured out, even with the shortcomings the feel of riding shits on anything milestone has ever done. Kinda feels like gp bikes at times.
Can you hold a line in this game?... how to control the line? usually these games just keep turning if you roll into a corner and you have to lift the directional key way on and off again making it a pain in the ass..

This is my favorite pc game for a while now I played it for 3 or 4 years my best lap is 15.04
Without question the Isle of Man is an amazing event. With that said, dedicated courses are more what I'm into. Does this racing Sim come with any? Ideally it would have some of the courses in the MotoGP series

In this new game the handling is really good..It can be compared with RIDE 3 & MotoGP. Much better than the first game.

Definately not... There's a much better range from easy ones that crash or are just slow to world class times.... One bot got 16:12 in my race in the 600s 😂

Yes
You don't crash very often - that's a good thing. But to be honest you are too slow... A lot of times you lift the throttle or even brake where you could go flat out. You can also change the gear ratio to go 320 kph or even faster. That will improve your lap time as well (even the ZX-6R runs 300 kph when it is set up right. So a superbike has to be faster ;)). By the way, I love this game :)
i gave up on the first one i came off every 20 seconds or so.

One of the best bikes games to buy. Adrenaline and you feel the speed. Great game. To platinum this game you have to ride 4 laps without fall. Now that´s a real challenge!!
