Have you ever wondered what it takes to race at the Isle of Man TT? Well in 2019 we followed one man's journey to do just that. Forest Dunn is a privateer with no main team backing him. We joined him on his journey to see what it takes to compete at the historic Isle of Man TT.
Follow Forest's journey from Ballyclare to the Isle of Man while doing almost everything for his bike on his own, or with the help of those closest to him. All for the love of the sport.

If you go to the TT, take some time to talk to the privateers or even drop a £10 in the donation box 😉.These lads make a loss and are truly what sport is about, in this very dangerous game.

Awesome! I’ve always wanted to go to the TT at least once. I’m American so it’s a bit of a haul to get there, but it’s on my bucket list.

Anyone that rides the TT is a god no matter the place they come. They are above MotoGp riders in ability. Even Rossi has said he would never do this madness. Respect Forest and may you win a TT soon.
Hmmm, Rossi sez "It's 'a too 'a dangerous" because of the high speeds on public/unpredictable road surfaces, no safety run-off/crash zones and most importantly ZERO $$$... Put an average TT Rider on a MotoGP track, they would be astonished by the positive riding experience/difference....

More manufacturers should do videos like this. It gets privateer's a but of publicity and hopefully some sponsorship, which in turn helps the whole sport.
Was at a lot of the Irish national races this year and often seen Forrest fly past and his name in the program. These type of videos are great to put a person to the name and the black and yellow bike.
Exactly, Mfg'rs would sell more bikes solely on the basis that these more closely resemble what the consumer can buy in the showroom - Nobody watches MotoGP and 'sez, "Where can I buy one of those?"
With that big dedication, these lads deserve an official honda team. And that girl, shes A class
ANYONE no matter were they finish in any class that has competed in the TT has earned my respect 100%.

As a roadracing fanatic, I always love seeing what goes on behind the scenes: particularly when it involves privateers who dedicate every spare minute & penny to achieve their personal goals. WOWOWOWOWO... i was there in 2019 and i saw him ... i saw Forest in the lover part of the TT Paddoc... he talked the truth in the first minute from the beginning of the video "cuz it's all it's all money!! " ... He is absolutely right... it's all about money but here at the TT the respect and the love for the road racing sport it is top notch .... This lad .. he is real ... like other bunch of lads that all the year goes on the mountain course of the TT on the Isle of Man .... those are real real pure genuine love for the sport they're doing no matter what.. even the money .. i got big respect for all of them.. for the privateer and for the other racers as well... I plan to go at the TT again .. i love the TT since i was a kid... and i will always love it.. like @Mike Fandango said drop some £ on the donation box.. "super" the moment where the marshall lady closes the zipper on his leather at the starting grid .. those may you realize how much humanity is involved in this sport ... listen to what Emma says about this sport "it's proper unique and you know there's nothing like this". ...Brilliant

This is without a doubt the best motor race in the world. Anyone who rides in the TT is a different breed.
I actually work with forest on a regular basis, and I can honestly say hes a cracking bloke unless your in the know youd have no idea he was the rider he is... a properly down to earth bloke and one of the easiest guys to chat to I've ever met.
The 21 dislikes are the guys living in their moms basement wishing they had a bike 🤣... good video! Keep your head up man, you will go to the top 🤘🏼

Really enjoyed the film. Having been a privateer racer some years ago I have huge respect and admiration for the commitment to do this. Lots of hours and money to pursue a passion. Good on Honda for supporting a road race privateer, more of this please!
I'm Italian, born and raised not far from Maranello, just to give a bit of context. Road Racing has remained the only discipline to keep me interested in motorsport. 'nuff said.

The Isle of Man truly is one of the most awe inspiring tracks out there. My dream is to race there some day, I'm only 20 but I've had a bike with me as soon as I could afford one at 16. I'm both excited and terrified, this track really is do or die. But we've only got so many years before our bodies can't handle anymore. So Isle of Man TT, I'll see you in a few years.

I feel with a lot of TT racers they have that background that we can all relate too, they live normal lives and have normal jobs. There is no glorfied "fame" or money that comes with the TT especially for the privateers and makes you understand that these people go out of their own pocket for something they truly love which is inspiring !! Would be great to make my way over to the Isle of man at some point and chat with all these amazing lads/lasses !!
