Thanks for your settings Doc. I do not think many people would like my set-up. Gears; LB = up, LT = down, RB = clutch, RT = F Break, RSF = throttle, RSB = R Break. Look back is on the RS push down, and re-set on the LS push down. It works for me !
I’ve got up shift on A, downshift on X (Xbox controller) tuck position using manual left analog. Clutch on LB, front brake on LT, rear on B. Works really well for me so far
I didn't expect to learn anything new from this but it was gold dust mate! The trigger sensitivity settings for a start, I know my heavy handedness is getting me thrown off a lot. Iv only ever used semi auto, I like to control downshifting but the game is good at handling the rest. I must switch combined brakes off though, I keep forgetting. Great info thanks. I use the PS5 controller but, on the PS5. I'm happy with the setup, but will always look to get a better feel. I use semi auto gears and find the shift points to be good, couldn't get faster shifting myself. And I can override if I want to. I'm definitely going to look at the triggers settings jow, though. I am using just pressure not even pulling the brake trigger most times, so a little more feel might be good. I use automatic tuck and might try going manual, after watching this. The time in this game comes from increments, mostly learning the tracks, there is no magic setup that will make a huge difference, it's all about getting faster by tanths but more importantly, knowing the tracks.
This is like teaching someone that's just starting to learn how to juggle three balls, then saying 'right, now let's have a go with twelve'!!!!!! Honestly, my brain can barely cope with everything on auto. If I had to use another button to either tuck in or change gear I think my head would pop!
Just leave everything on auto and beginner and just slowly incorporate the new things. Go at your own pace 👍🏻 I do recommend keeping joint brakes off though.
