yeah have been coming to IOM for years my wife's best friend and our god son live behind the paddock and I've been up the control tower with a police inspector and I 100% agree 2 looks miles better it terms of realism
@@Du_RocK What's displayed visually is a massive part of realism especially when what's being displayed in some cases in worse than what we had before see my comment below. The handling is much better though
@@sparkyplug28 If you have time to compare it while riding it, you're being slow. For me it's all blur. So I'd say it's fidel enough, since it's a racing game and it has the best physics out of the 3 (that's realism). We had a way smaller map before, now eveything is in one map, but that comes with some sacrifice, which is a visual one. TBS, I wouldn't trade the whole better expierience that his game has over the older ones, just because "X" house or tree isn't correct. Tbh, I can put a real footage side by side with the other ones and find a LOT on things wrong. Even tho the track itself is laser scanned, the things around never were 1:1, so I don't understand why that would be such issue right now.
For me two was so much better in loads of ways, I-E .. Engine sound graphics and handling , it even seemed to play a little faster. ive got isle of man 1 2 and 3 and never noticed the difforence between 2 and 3 until you put them together .so thanks bro really good video. Isle of man ride on the edge 2 is my choice.
2 is much more realistic if you pause at 7:12 there is a very distinctive house on the left in the dip where bray hill turns into quarter bridge in version 2 its identical to real life in the new version its missing a turret and is the wrong colour why change it very odd. Least the handling is better
Babelfisch: Thanks for the comparison video - I'm a fan of that. :D Since the differences (for me) are relatively small (I couldn't even tell which game is the current one if it weren't displayed), I'll probably wait for a sale - unless the new/different physics were celebrated so much in the forums that that I buy earlier. A comparison video with a helmet camera/cockpit view would be nice - when I play games like this, that's my preferred view.
I played the first 2 games extensively, and I can tell you the 3rd one FEELs more realistic. The first 2 ones were more arcadey and forgivable in a sense that you could abuse the bikes without any penatily (that's why we could have way faster times than the real deal), most of the crashes (falls) were inpredicable and made no sense. Now (3) you gotta be more careful, specially with your brakes. If you brake (specially hard) while leaning, you lose you front and fall (like irl). The bikes also gets harder to lean as the speed goes up (like irl). The bikes doesn't feel floaty anymore. Even using the more arcadey level of physics (there's 3 levels) the game feels simular to the Rote 1 and 2, but less arcadey. It also have a way better helmet cam (my main view too), is visually less floaty (and physically due the new physics which is more "planted") but also more bumpy (feel more chaotic like irl). Most of the things like these you won't perceive by just watching a video. This game fixed things that I didn't liked in previous games and also made better what was already good. I'm definetely happy with the game. You have 2h to test and refund on Steam, if you really like the series, you should try it. p.s. Be careful with "forums" tho, it's really hard to tell who speaking objectively from the ones that speaking subjectively (which is the majority of them). It's easy to miss objectively good/solid games due to people's "opinions" about them.
@@Du_RocK This is because Kylton didnt make the 3rd game. Raceward studios did (the same devs behind Rims Racing, which also handles more realistically than the ride games)
Thank god this is one of the studios that doesn't take down the other games when the latest one releases :) It means you can choose to play whichever game you prefer! I still think it's not worth picking up however. I think the game could look and play better and I feel so that we're gonna get the true experience only on the 4th or 5th iteration.

you cant own the new game if you think tt 2 looks better...tt3 looks much better, with lights and everything, and it feels better ;) Because its a this gen game xsx

why i cannot see the kilometers remaining in the full race like i can see them if i choose to play the sections and why on the map i cannot see all the corners names like in tt2 ?
I like TT3 but can't really make a comparison having not played TT2. I like the reasonably realistic visual physics, but the bikes are somewhat difficult to read, when all you have are fast moving graphics for reference and no physical feedback from a gamepad apart from the occasional rumble. For me personally, I like games with the tactile advantage of an FFB steering wheel, (unfortunately not compatible) with the TT games.
For me tt2 has much better sound design but tt3 much better road textures, still not sure what to buy, i only played the first one on cosole long time ago.
idk about you, but i dont recall seeing riders with their knees spread out that wide .. in TT3 looks like they’re gripping their legs on a big ass Tank
The number 2 remains for me a masterpiece and the best of the 3! in simulation mode with the steering sensitivity set to 0, it's a total foot! moreover the game had received at least on ps4 a 60 fps patch making it compatible with the ps5! the steering is super precise, the sensation of speed is incredible! Graphically super clean with very little clipping and pop up and better mixed sounds especially in external view!
The only excuse you have to say that is if you ve never ridden a real bike in your life . 2 previous tt games were one more fake than the other when it comes to physics/handling . They had no inertia ,no centrifugal forces and essntially anything that gives sense of weight to a bike

I hated TT2 on ps4. Found it unplayable. Bought PS5 few weeks ago, thought I give it another chance, and it had a new update specific for PS5 despite it not being an actual ps5 upgrade and find it miles better
For only playing 1 and 3, imo the game shake too much, like the speed effect is awful, 0% smooth and even the grip on the road shake af if the tire start flying, idk if its because of the sim-difficulty but even in medium its weird, some texture are really outdated, thx the shader but still wierd, like in shadow some time its just night (& one terrifying npc) i met 2 control bug in one day, i really hope they update their game or is dead
That’s what I’m digging about 3. Everyone is pooping on it, but the feeling of speed put a smile on my face. It aligns very well with RL videos Ive watched of laps.
TT3 is awful, it doesn't play in HDR either on series X. Bugs galore, bad screen tearing, truly awful graphics and the map looks half finished. Physics aren't terrible but the rest of it is unplayable. I got a refund from Microsoft for 3 and bought 2 instead as everyone says it's better and also plays in HDR
