- The DJI O4 Air Unit Pro has officially become available for purchase and I managed to get my hands on one in a reasonable amount of time. That said, I have been skeptical about how good the image quality can possibly be on what is, at its core, a VTX system for FPV drones and vehicles.
Does the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro really have the ability to completely replace the need for action cameras when flying or operating FPV vehicles? Is it going to be the biggest thing to happen to the first person view vertical since the original DJI Air Unit dropped?
Let's take a look at just how good the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro is...Let's Talk Drones!

Can this drone any good at acro? Is it available as a bnf (I'm no good at building)? Thanks!
Yes to both questions! You can BNF this drone. My RX/TX is via TBS Crossfire. Super easy to pair with my existing Crossfire module. If you don’t want to run Crossfire or ExpressLRS, you can also use the DJI peripherals that are compatible with the Air Unit of your choosing.
I like this quad so much, I got one for just crusing and video. Now building a walk snail lite vs of it running on 2s . This will be my ripper
I didn’t hear this in your review or see it in the comments, with the O4 camera at 0-10 degree angle, are the ducts in view?
What size battery are you using and what kind of flight time did you get? Also, which DJI goggles are you using?
You can use a 4s lipo 550mah - 850mah or a bigger lipo for more fligth time
The recommended LiPo is 3S between 550mah and 650mah. That's what I run. All of my batteries fall within that range. That said, you can utilize other sizes if you prefer. Just be careful not to overload the drone weight-wise. There is a balance of diminishing returns when it comes to weight capacity on the motors and battery life. I'd say stick around 650mah and you'll find the best balance.
@@TheDroneGeekah, ok😅 🤟
can you use elrs controllers
Yep! The Pavo 20 Pro comes in ELRS, TBS, and PNP configurations.
