Love the idea of that much power on something so small but always thought that the tune would just be funky. Are flight times roughly the same 4s vs 6s? and do you have your tune listed anywhere with the parts that you used? Great video!
with the larger battery you linked in the description, how much does the drone end up weighing, with the quad bladed props, and how does the extra milliamps affect flight time
is there any DJI configuration right now where you can record 4k and use gyroflow in post but still fly at the lowest latency setting? I know in the past its been either fly at 60fps with higher latency, or use rocksteady and fly at 100/120(goggles v2)
@AlexGFPV that's a good question, I don't think so, but I'll have to play with it. I don't use stabilization for freestyle, and if I'm flying for cinematic reasons, I've never felt the 60fps mode was a hindrance. Great question, I am working on a video to deep dive into a bunch of O4 related questions, and I will address this one.
@@MurdersFPV Sounds good, thanks! I'm only bothered by the latency when chasing people/shooting gaps indoors for cinematic purposes, but would still love the option. Obviously an external camera solves that problem and introduces others...
@MurdersFPV Maybe this option is only available if you use the FPV controller 3 then.. I can switch the video transmission manually between 2.4Ghz and 5.8ghz on my NEO using G3 and RC3
@tonymorgan328 absolutely not. The more power, the better, in my opinion. But that is also after years of perfecting throttle control. 4s also works fine with this build, but you would likely need a tad bit higher KV, or it may feel underpowered.

Curious about the quad bladed props for that config. The quad is going to be more grabby, but do you think that’s better for freestyle in the config you flew?
@midnitejesus so I use the quad bladed props when using my 650mah batteries, but I use the Gemfan tri blades when using the 380mah packs that I also use. With the 380mah pack, the whole quad weighs 235g.
RIP youtube compression xdd i bet it looked amazing! I might get into DJI for the first time, been running analog. Got any recommendations on which goggles I should get?
@BADrx_fpv if you've never been a DJI user, the Goggles 3 looks like the best option. You'll be able to get O3s cheapnow that the O4 is out, they are compatible with O4 and all of its features, and they will likely be usable with whatever technology DJI releases in the future.
For a pilot who may not be as skilled as you, is there any noticeable lag? The main discussion is usually how HDZero has no noticeable lag and feels very responsive. What are your thoughts on this?
@ls4life544 so, this is strictly my opinion, and you have to understand that I have been a DJI pilot from day 1. I have flown HD Zero on its lowest possible latency setup, so I do have experience with it. My opinion is that I would much rather have a higher resolution image in my goggles that allows me to see detail rather than having lower latency. Every video feed that I have tried that had lower latency than DJI, had poor resolution and picture quality. Another reason that I would prefer a system like DJI over HD Zero is because of penetration. Lower latency systems tend to have much worse penetration, which limits where I can fly. I am far more affected by variable latency than higher or lower latency. This is why I prefer the O4 because it feels like it's a much more consistent latency experience even versus the O3.
@ChuyFPV you can use the Remote Controll 2 IF you are using the Goggles 2. The Goggles V2 are not supported by the O4 at this time. I don't think they will make it compatible later, but it's possible.
I know you've talked a lot about the djinn update, but what exactly is the difference between this than the O3? Just the DLOG capability for color grading? Sounds like penetration is better, but how does it compare when using the Goggles 2? Glad that it's compatible for sure.
@Leonidas8819 that is my plan. There are some new Quadmula 5" frames that are coming soon designed for use with the O4. My goal is to not have to use an action camera at all.
@ great news 👍 glad I haven’t bought the siren F5 split frame up till now cause I haven’t got all parts for the built. So I will wait and see how the new frame will look like and decide than. I plan to have a O4 camera Pod (TPU) more forward to have no props in view and much protection as possible. So in my case I could also use the current O3 Frame still. Will decide later what frame I get. And also if no action cam is needed you could go with a 1400mah instead of 1200 tattu V5 but have same weight tu trust ratio. What do you think about this?
Being able to ditch an action cam is huge! What are your thoughts on battery makers offering longer/flatter packs since there will be free space up front on the top deck?
@gliZzyFPV it's a great option, and it should be fine for these smaller drones. For larger 5" drones, I will likely use the shark fin looking TPU piece that would take the place of where the action camera usually goes, like a racing drone. Mostly to protect the battery and to make it a little easier to turtle mode.
@velti3178 for now, the only O4 option is the 2.5. There is no O4 3, 3.5, or 5" yet on offer from Quadmula. There will be soon. So if you intend on doing a 3.5" build but want to use the O4, I'd say wait.
@ thanks for the reply! Since You have pretty much both my dream quads in two of your videos, which quad are you enjoying the most? The 2.5 or 3.5“? I really like fast quads, but 2.5“ are so versatile and cheaper to get in the air.
@ahmetturan8292 it's not just a 3D print. It's a completely different frame. All the carbon pieces are different, along with including the TPU pieces and hardware to mount the O4.
@Levafpv all I know for now is that all new frames are coming for use with the O4. I don't see a way for the existing frames to work with an O4 without modifying the carbon. That will affect the strength and durability of the frame, though.

@photosbyjames_ The new frame has basically all new carbon pieces that are all slightly different dimensions wise. Even the arms and the locking system for the arms are different from the original Djinn F25.

@kiykim277 There is no stabilization on this flight footage. That's just tune and my flying skill. This drone is easy to keep below 250g, but it depends on the battery you are using. I use an HV 380mah pack, and it's about 2.5-3.5 mins of flight time, but we'll below 250g.
@velti3178 This one is legit my new favorite drone. It's tiny, flies great, never breaks because it's so light. Now, with the O4, it's like icing on the cake.
@junecontreras6896 not without some grinding and designing of a different camera mount. Honestly, the new Djinn flies better, in my opinion. There are other changes that have just improved over the original. The geometry of the arms is better for a better flight feel.

@RCWolfFPV I haven't heard of a conversion kit. I will say there are other changes that make flight feel even better while also improving durability, and it's something they plan to implement for their other frames as well.
@@MurdersFPV Thanks:) I guess its time to order new frames then :)
Check their latest announcement...
@@ObsessionFPV where is that announcement?
@RCWolfFPV sorry bud. Read that wrong. Idk about a conversion kit. My bad bro
Great Video bro! I still use vistas for bando freestyle because of the price and i dont like that i cant change the lens easily. But for cinematic and field flying it seems very good for me :)
I'm all in now not looking back all my quads
If only was the djinn avaliable in eu. I guess im sticking with kayoumini with the o4lite.
What are those antennas u have on ur Goggles2?
@@reboot110 they aren't a substantial improvement over stock antennas. So I wouldn't waste the $50, but that's just my personal opinion. www.flyfish-rc.com/collections/dual-band/products/osprey-flip-g2-dual-band-antenna-for-dji-goggles-2
@@MurdersFPV Are there any omnidirectional antennas for goggles 2 out there that are actually better than the stock ones? I have been looking into it for a while now but can only seem to find directional antennas and I just want better penetration in bandos and my virtual tours
I take side cutters to make the antennas stubby
@AdventureswithQuillen much more difficult with these ones. Good luck, though.
Awesome video! I’m sad it won’t fit in the siren F5 I just built😢. What color grading software do you use?
@bensettos8705 I just do it manually in Adobe Pro
Ok cool. I’ve been trying to use davinci resolve and it’s hard to figure out
Super smooth, do you have the rocksteady on? Also is the drone sub250 with the 04?
@kiykim277 There is no stabilization on this flight footage. That's just tune and my flying skill. This drone is easy to keep below 250g, but it depends on the battery you are using. I use an HV 380mah pack, and it's about 2.5-3.5 mins of flight time, but we'll below 250g.
@ It’s butter!!! Love you flying!!!
Does unit use ham file mod still please.
Great video man. I've got some on the way and can't wait to try it
@noisy_boi_fpv_3920 yes. It uses the same ham file that worked for the O3 system.
@MurdersFPV good to know cheers
Chris Rosser video about O4 FTW!
This or the F35?
@velti3178 This one is legit my new favorite drone. It's tiny, flies great, never breaks because it's so light. Now, with the O4, it's like icing on the cake.
So o4 won’t fit with with the previous o3 djinn!?!! Damn!! I just received my djinn too 😭😭😭😭 tf
@junecontreras6896 not without some grinding and designing of a different camera mount. Honestly, the new Djinn flies better, in my opinion. There are other changes that have just improved over the original. The geometry of the arms is better for a better flight feel.
Yea I ordered the new frame as soon as I saw your video/link. thank you!! 💪🏾 would’ve been an unpleasant surprise.
Do you by chance have the avata2?
If so do you think doing a comparison of the o4 air unit pro and avata2 video is worth it? 😅
@junecontreras6896 I have heard the Avata 2 and very similar to the O4. I only own an Avata 1.
But what is the bitrate for recording? DJI blew it with the Air 3S by giving it a larger camera sensor... but chopping the bitrate by more than half. Totally brain-dead.
