Thank you for the print. I was about to open up Tinkercad and start playing around. I was almost sick thinking I wouldn't be able to make the 04 work with the f35.
This is awesome! I only fly Quadmulas as I have 4 F5s and a F35. Can't wait to give this a go! I seem to remember the TPU camera mounts were the same for the F5 and F35. Gonna test it out but thank you!

@@Lazy_SkyWalker The camera quality on the O4 Lite is a step back from the O3. Nice work getting the cam to fit. It looks like there may be some room to de-case the cam to reduce some of than volume but with a tradeoff of durability. Maybe Quadmula will release a redesigned top plate and cam mount
They released a new version of the djinn instead. But a 3d print, like the pod mount mount for o3/o4 on printables could be another solution to using current quadmula frames.
I expect they will release new frames for the O4 if the new F25 SP is any indication. They did a lot of redesign for the O4, a surprisingly lot of changes.
you need the 04 antenna i tried that way and when you fly around buildings and far away you get the same range as the 03 did but with the 04 antenna's i got much better range i had 60mbt even around building and flying much longer away you should put the 04 antenna's on it does make a difference, the only thing is mounting two instead of one which is a bit of a pain on smaller builds.
Thanks, I heard the same but really didn’t notice any issues and the mbps held at 60. Did you try any of those aftermarket two-in-one 5.8ghz antennas? I see that Flywoo makes one that could be perfect, it’s single band like what we have with the included O4 antenna.
@@eddietolbert5308 I don't think so, I saw tests of the OccuSync4 (what O4 actually stands for) when the Mini 4 Pro (O4 based) released and it had better penetration than the Mini 3 Pro (O3 based) as well. It's just a newer and beefier protocol.
Congratulations on getting the unit so early Looks like your camera plates are not soft mounted. Soft mount was a 'requirement' of the 03, but doesn't appear to be with the 04. Do you have thoughts or observations about this?
I ordered from Amazon at 8am on launch day. :) You need to print the camera plates in TPU, which allows them to be soft mounted. Using TPU to soft mount was the approach for the O3 and also the approach used currently for O4 by frame manufacturers.
Finally, somebody addresses the difference between the 03 and 04 in the goggle so in your opinion, did the 04 feel nicer looking through the goggles? Some people have said they don’t notice a difference at all but for me that is the main reason I would buy them . Image quality through the goggles is very important to me
The split has the bottom and top deck closer together so they say it flies a bit better, perhaps because the CG of the battery is closer to the motor plane. The bottom deck is also two pieces should you need to replace a part in a crash. It also weights marginally less.
With these rcinpower 1404 motors I've been getting around 4:30 in the winter with a 4s 650mah battery. I suspect you can get a bit more during the summer.

Huge thanks for the prints I'm hoping this will work with the djinn f25, I know there is a new frame djinn sp but I'm hoping the 3d prints you made convert mine into 04
@ No, you’d need more than that. The bottom deck is different as is the 3D print for the camera holder. Those two I know for a fact but there may be other differences.
The air unit doesn’t report its temperature through the osd. I doubt it’s temperature related though, it was fairly cold out and I never let it sit around. My money is still on interference in the channel.
You need to move it forward way more than that. I went through 15 versions when designing this. I actually want to move it further back in version 16 to give the camera some protection. It’s a huge expensive camera to be hanging so far forward like that.
Thank you so much for this. Appreciate all your hard work making this happen for the community. Much appreciated.
