In simple terms… Distance affects latency, because as you and I both mentioned, there is encoding/decoding required and our tiny human brains don’t notice all the drop outs of the signal at range, but the system records such in micro seconds.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 The video sure implies the travel time of the signal contributes to the latency. The video gave me the impression you don't understand what causes the latency.

Steve - I've noticed in the video posted recurring digital disturbance/blip in the FPV video in the two videos you posted today (one example - this video - between 2+30 to 2+33, center screen in the left hand quadrant). Is it just a "RUclips upload error" or an example of some digital signal loss? Thanks.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thanks for the info. I have giggabit-level access to the internet, so streaming not a problem at my place. I was watching the 4K RUclips feed.
@@rubberonasphalt yep it looks like he printed some tpu parts to mount his camera. I was wondering as well. JB said it's a bit wider than the o3 camera
@@rubberonasphalt yeah, you'd think in the basic things you need to know, someone would mention it's not compatible with any current frames. This is the first and only time I've ever checked out this advertising affiliate spammer channel.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 find your videos really useful thank you. Do you know if we can use the lite version with just power and therefore mount it on the airplane for FPV and continue using the standard rx/tx setup?
Thank you for this review! Is it true that you need a different 3d printed mount for the camera module to fit into a the front portion of the frame? I would like to fit it in my Foxeer Aura 8.
Yes this product is not related to FCs at all, BUT it is Plug & Play, the connector is exactly the same as O3. So swapping out an O3 and mounting an O4 should be super easy (except if the camera doesn´t fit the frame, and maybe need to get an antenna mount).
These are designed for FPV Drones, so they respond to a Flight Controller. But there are ways around a Flight Controller if you wish to place them in an RC Plane. People have figured it out with the DJI 03 Air units.
@@olabergvall3154 "this product is not related to FCs at all" The flight controller provides the O4 with data which can be displayed on the screen (On Screen Display (OSD)). The flight controller also lets the O4 know when the aircraft is armed so it can exit from low power mode. If a flight controller isn't used, the low power mode can be disabled in the goggle's menu.
Fun video ! 😃
This tutorial is so good,
I had to watch it twice!
Thanks Cap !!
The distance does not affect latency. The rf signal travels at the speed of light. The latency is a product of electronic signal processing speed.

Happy o4 day! Thank you for another wonderful Video!
Happy New Year!
Good evening captain really nice drone cool set up looks insane always great information
Can I power the air unit lite with 6s or only the pro?
Thanks for the video
So what are those "few more features" that are not available in goggles 2/integra?
Race mode is one
They are things all dealing with the speed/quality of communication with the drone.
Good first look video Steve
Thanks 👍
Great video thanks for explaining for us that are not familiar with the air systems....Thx again!
Glad to help
Does it transmit audio?

If I use this with the dji goggles 3 and the fpv controller will I get geofenced?
No, air units don't have GPS and FPV community would not tolerate this. Especially with lite units that are used indoors half of the time
Camera mounting is going to be an issue when swapping out our drones from O3 to O4 air units, isn't it?
@@rubberonasphalt yep it looks like he printed some tpu parts to mount his camera. I was wondering as well. JB said it's a bit wider than the o3 camera
Correct, but pretty much only on smaller framed drones.

O3 camera have 6mm between screw holes and O4 is 16mm.
Nice. What antennas are you using? Are they polarized? Aren't the G3 antennas linear?
Can we use this dji4 for airplanes ?
Most certainly! Many of us use DJI FPV Systems for Cars, Trucks, Tanks, Planes, Helis.
Ok @@CAPTAINDRONE798 thank you for the quick reply 👍

I am amazed by how DJI keeps on pushing the bounds of what is possible (^_^)
can you install this in a dji fpv drone?
Nope, it is not designed for the older DJI FPV Drone.
can it be used as stand alone fpv for rc plane ?
Yes, I’m sure soon you will see people using it on the RC Planes.
If you're not using a flight controller to communicate with the O4 make sure you disable the low power at start feature.

Yes, its 20mm instead of 19, and has different mountingpoints
@ thank you. Do you know where I can find those 3D prints? Or do they come with the camera?
You still need a separate flight controller w/ either of these, correct?

I’d be a lot less hesitant to upgrade if the goggles 3 worked with all of my Caddx systems…
Is it possible to place it on a rc car?
Yes, but it is designed to be connected to a FLIGHT CONTROLLER, so you’d have to work around that.
what drone is that ?
Yo what fpv drone would you recommend for a begginer like me
If you are a beginner, go with a RTF (READY TO FLY) FPV Drone Kit. I have reviewed all of them on my channel.
@ yeah but like which one would you recommend the novice 3 by eachine or the hglrc dracknight by hglrc
Does Dji Goggles v2 work with the 04 air unit?
No it doesn't. The Goggles 2 and Integra work but you're limited to 50Mb/s.
Interesting, big price wow
We need race mode on goggles 2 @DJI
Holy Crap Captain!!!!; thats a lot of Info to digest!; excuse my Ignorance, does this mean the new Camera (Pro) can be mounted to "anything" ?
The 04 won’t just swap In because it is bigger than the 03 unit,
04 Lite has the small camera.
It looks some weird ass Birkenstock sandal shoe!
hii good videoo and first comment
Thank you for checking it out
Anybody have really world range distances with certain goggles.
The standard has 23 GB internal memory (source: DJI video ruclips.net/video/7GkR3RmzPhM/видео.html)
Correct. DJI left that out of the documentation they sent me & the video you watched was recorded a week ago, so such info was missing.
Can I plz have a free drone again plz don’t kick me🙏🥺
you suck at RUclips…
Hopefully the O3 will drop in price or they’ll be a load being sold used as people replace .. 😀
WLT/XK got a new Heli. XK. k 170 & hope your the 1 st one highlighting it. 👌🏻
Is this the same as the one inside the avata 2?
