    2023 here. I just upgraded all my hardware to Corsair from Razer, so far so good. I did get a bum mouse however from Corsair called the Harpoon, it was very cheap. It was cheap and cheaply contructed. I just bought this mouse. So far the quality is far better. The IronClaw looks great next to my K100 keyboard though.

    Should have mentioned if the wheel is smooth scroll or increment ticks. I’m glad the RGBs are dim, I worried about it being too bright. Only thing missing is wheel left and right clicks. I can’t find anything better at a good enough price so I’ll order it.

  • @BIOSHOCKFOXX
    @BIOSHOCKFOXX 4 года назад

    How big exactly it is? because it's quite problematic that there is no way to test them but to buy them, in some places with an offer of return, but really wish a on-spot touching and feeling, and these sort of reviews are not really having any comparisons or measurements to compare.
    I have a Razer Taipan mouse and it feels that I need a bit bigger mouse, since my fingertips either go off in front or there is enough room on the back of the palm itself, and the fact that my finger go over the mouse buttons means that I can't really press them, I need to direct the pressure in the different part of the finger to be sufficient enough for the button to be pressed, since the points of where the pressure is being added on fingers is at the tips of course, and my tips go over...but if I move my hand so that my fingertips directly touch the buttons it then starts to feel kind of a lack of control over the mouse, because your back of the palm is not fully gripping the mouse itself. So either that or some spider grab, which is not precise as well, since it's a loss of control to an extent.
    Even if I move my hand back for fingers to touch the buttons, the problem with this mouse is that its sensors are a bit more back than one thinks, meaning it's meant for a bit smaller hand than mine, or hand with shorter fingers.
    For example I got to use for a while Logitech G502, it felt nice in my hand, something like that additionally for comparison.

    • @ikjman1
      @ikjman1 4 года назад +1

      @Sped Yeah I've bought it and used it for one day now. It has a 30 day return policy, so I figured I'd try it for myself.
      I noticed scrolling upwards(which I use to switch weapon) isn't that communicative to me. I've had like 5 occasions where I did not switch weapon. I think I'm getting used to it because the longer I played, the less of an issue I had with it.

    • @ikjman1
      @ikjman1 4 года назад +1

      @Sped I've got melee and slide/crouch binded to the thumb keys and my left hand is occupied with wasdeqrfz,alt,space,shift,caps,ctrl. I use them all haha. For me, scroll is optimal for weapon switch as I don't want to stop walking to switch weapon, but I can stop shooting or aiming to switch weapon.

    The mouse is very good, but production quality is subpar. The wheel broke after a year of non-gaming use (no accidents - simply broke one day for no reason), and I see this is a common issue with Corsair mice. I paid $60 for the mouse so I would expect it to last more than a year especially since I'm not a gamer. If I was, it would probably last 3 months? Will definitely not buy a Corsair again.

    Really bad mouse. Sometimes the buttons work. Sometimes they write numbers. Sometimes they don't work at all. Feels bad in the hand because of the asymmetric shape, when it is actually a right handed mouse. Will give you an aching hand, unlike all other mice I've used in the past 20 years. My palm doesn't fit on this palm mouse ( height 5'8 ). The thumb buttons are too far back and so are the two index buttons. The blinking flashing lights are on by default. The lights are distracting and one is on the palm rest so you would never see it when it's in use. Two point directly at your monitor and make a lovely flashing reflection when you are trying to concentrate. Everyone loved that, right? You need to download bloatware just to turn them off. People that don't want the lights on, don't want the bloatware. People that want lights, usually like bloatware to play with the lights. Boycott Corsair for your next purchase. Show them that things need to change. These are just a few of the basic things that are proof Corsair must be totally brainless. I mean, come on guys. These are obvious basic faults. It's not even like it was a mistake. Corsair purposefully designed this mouse to be stupid. When a company puts money into purposefully being stupid, they are failing at the most basic level. ADVICE for Corsair. Take a lump of clay. Take an average height man ( 5'8 ). Ask him to press his hand into the lump of clay, like he is holding a mouse. Now you have a mould for the smallest sized hand of the largest mouse you make. From there, Mould a mouse that has a rear palm slider, made of aluminium, that will slide back, to increase size for larger hands. Move the thumb button as far forward as the thumb can reach and place one back from that. Now you have the two thumb buttons. the DPI buttons, repeat this same process, but put a gap/plate between the two DPI buttons and the left click button. raise the mouse wheel and make it out of solid plastic, crosshatched. Put both a thumb rest and a pinky finger rest on each side. Add right and left side grip to the aluminium sliding palm grip so that the palm actually grips the mouse when you place your hand on it and you are able to lift all fingers, and still maneuver the mouse without it going all over the place. The two buttons behind the mouse are almost pointless, but if you are going to have them, they must not interfere with the palm. If you can press these buttons with your palm, they are in the wrong place. Move them forward, closer to the mouse wheel. Move the mouse wheel forward also if you have to. Don't be afraid to get it right... or you will just get it wrong again and again. Don't ask kids to help you design it. Give it to an older man and woman that are experienced. Kids like flashing lights, and get big heads. Adults will tell you straight, your product is crap!

    • @dukejukem1639
      @dukejukem1639 5 лет назад +1

      considering your finger is like 1 millimeter away from the scroll wheel compared to the 1 inch or more your finger is distanced from the number keys on a keyboard using a scroll wheel to switch between 2 weapons is faster than tapping your 1 or 2 keys.....by a long shot. most people also use their dominant hand on their mouse so yea i'd rather trust my dominant hand on a mouse vs my secondary on a keyboard with a longer travel distance.
