Welcome back to the World According to Briggs today's video is about Miami, Florida, and the places you'd never want to live in. These places are either too expensive to buy a home or too dangerous. Nobody wants a mortgage on a home with bars in the windows.

Not a lot of Cubans left in Little Havana, most people that live there are Central Americans, the largest cuban population is now in Hialeah.

Miami Dolphins should have been the worst neighborhood.
Dan Marino was the bomb up until his last couple years. He's still hot tho💖
Well, Miami Gardens is the home to the Dolphin's stadium and it's a really bad city, so there's that.
The Dolphins suck and I'm fed up with it too. They should have just kept Adam Gase.
Not sure how Miami Gardens didn't make the list.
@IsThisTheKrustyKrab? Good point, probably why Opa Locka and Hialeah didn't make the list also.
If you couldn't confirm the pictures with the actual locations, perhaps you shouldn't have rushed the video? Idk stupid me I guess...

My husband and son are both truck drivers. Everytime they go to deliver in Miami they have to be met by an armed guard to follow them around on their route. So many of the drivers have been robbed that the guards have become necessary when they’re delivering anywhere in Miami. That is seriously sad.
i'm shocked liberty city isn't on this list

Wynwood has completely changed over the past few years. It’s been redeveloped and has a huge art scene, people come to Miami a now to see Wynwood. Little Haiti is by far the worst area, Wynwood although right next to it, is NOT the worst area.

Liberty City and Allapatah are definitely worse then Little Haiti
Wynwood has changed a lot a lot. But dont let your guard down. Still a place will you can get robbed easy.

the worst neighborhoods in miami are liberty city and opa-locka due to crime and violence. wynwood isnt as bad as it used to be as it has changed and it is where the art district is located.
opa locka is in miami dade county and it is part of the miami metropolitan area, therefore it is part of miami.
you talking to someone who was BORN AND RAISED in miami, i dont need to do research... SMART ASS. there are MANY towns and cities and even neighborhoods in miami and dade county that have their own government, police, etc. just like ANYWHERE else. EVERY single one of those neighborhoods mentioned have their own system of operations. LIKE I SAID, that does NOT mean that opa locka is not part of the miami area or miami dade county. therefore YOU can do YOUR research.. SIR.
Based on affordability oh too

Little Havana is not very Cuban at all. They make up about maybe 40 percent. 60 percent are Honduran and Nicaraguan ( central American ). That's why no one talks. Cubans talk a lot actually lol.
Emigdiosback
And Southwest
this dude naming streets and saying its a neighborhood ahhahaha
Liberty City is infamous for decades..
Correct but they haven’t had an inward migration for over a decade so there is no need for a spot on this list.
Good point Briggs.
Exactly a city Miami with many infamous neighborhoods within it
Opa locka
thats what i said lol
The Bab is treacherous AF!
Opa locka is not part of the city of Miami. Opa locka is its own city but it part of the same county of Miami. Hence why he didn’t include opa locka, Hialeah or Miami gardens
There is no neighborhood called Coral Way, I think you meant Coral Gables.
he literally addressed u pero i thought the same thing😭
The only Coral Way is a street and a school.
There is..its tiny..the main street is call coral way leading into coral cables.thats why most ppl just assume thats coral cables..btw CG its not part of Miami..
@@motorcycleartist I've lived in Miami since 1971. As I stated, there is no neighborhood named Coral Way and Coral Gables is city/municipality in Miami-Dade county. Coral Way is 24th st. That runs East and West.
Coral Way IS a neighborhood within Miami city limits
It's west of Brickel, east of the downtown area of the city of Coral Gables (Miracle Mile), north of Coconut Grove and south of Little Havana. and... it's really nice.
good job on the research! Please do they best places of Miami
I'm from Miami and this guy is very misinformed. Flagler is not a neighborhood is a street name. And there is no neighborhood called the upper east side and modern city is still Little Haiti.
He is using NET Offices as if they were neighborhoods. Epic fail.
Thanks Briggs. Love your channel.
I like this number transition ... quiet and short.
I drove from Sarasota to Miami in 1987. My friend and I stayed in Little Havana at a very cheap motel $24 dollars a night. On our last night there someone tried to break into our room in the middle of the night. Very creepy The chain on the door was rattling as the door was being kicked in. My friend and I began to yell and they ran away. We immediately left after that. Not going back
I would never stay in a roach motel. If I can’t afford a decent hotel I don’t travel
I was born and raised in Model city for 15 years and left in 2007 and everything that you've just said Briggs was spot on. Back then it was known as Liberty City don't know why they've changed the name but like Overtown it too is out of control with violent crime rate, terrible schools, and lack of well paying jobs. Glad I left.
Wow, the worst is not here. Liberty City and Opa Locka are the worst in this area.
I know that's right
I am born and raised in Miami. I have lived in coconut grove, south Miami, north Miami, and coral gables. Nobody goes to little Haiti or around it because there’s nothing there but ghetto houses. The traffic all over Miami is horrific. From 6am-9pm there’s traffic. If you want to know where to live in Miami, I would say don’t. Don’t live In Miami. It’s a shitty place with rude people, ignorant assholes. You don’t see the good people. Just the assholes who steal your parking spot or whenever you do find one. Parking on Miami Beach is $7.50/hour. FYI. Don’t EVER go to overtown unless you want to get ambushed and die. I accidentally drove thru while leaving from college in downtown and I was so afraid. There’s nobody on the streets it’s a ghost town. Very eerie.
I moved here solely for work. I hate it here. I’ve lived in a dozen cities around Florida and Miami is by far the worst. The cost of living is unreal. And yes, I’ve been trying to leave for 2.5 years but I haven’t been able to find a better job. This city is just a poor fit for quiet introverts who enjoy nature and friendly neighbors.
Lol dude I relate. I am an introvert and grew up in Miami. Its DEF not made for introverts. I live in the Twin Cities now and its MUCH more my style
😱 😳 😆 I loved it...Thank you for taking your time to do this amazing 😉 video

Correction, you need an income around 90 to live in coral gables if you compare your rental ( because it will be a rental) to other rentals around. Buy a home there and you’re looking at needing a salary of 200k
Carol City , Naranja Florida City towns South Of Miami headed towards Homestead Fl.
I'd have to agree Naranja, Goulds, Coral City. They are places to avoid but not really in the Main City of Miami neighborhood. I would avoid Goulds at all cost.

I just left Miami 3 weeks ago it's a great place to visit ✌🏿👌🏿👍🏿
No way! Wynwood is an up-and-coming area right now. New mixed used developments are going up there right now. Also downtown Miami is undergoing a big real estate boom with new high-rise towers going up and are under construction. Now downtown Miami has a big mixed used development that’s going up right now and it is crazy.
Wynwood may be up and coming, but their crime rate is still brutal and it cost to much.
@@bliss3596 It's gotten a lot better. As an Uber driver, I can tell you almost everyone wants to go to Wynnwood, even people in South Beach. I live in Edgewater, which is next to Wynnwood. bought in 2006 for $315k, now it's worth $450k I think. I'm very happy with my place, my parents where visionaries, I saw a beautiful building surrounded by crap, they saw an up and coming community with a great location. They were right, most of the crap is gone.
worst neighbourhoods in Albuquerque, Go!
its called Coral Gables not Coral Way
Correct but also incorrect. Listen to the beginning explanation. Coral way is a neighborhood within Coral Gables. It is only something you need to know while researching to relocate. It is on the city planners website and it is a patrol area for police. There is another one just like it on this video called Flagler.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Coral Way is a neighborhood within Miami next to Coral Gables
I am from a safe nice suburb of Miami near Suniland and I find a lot of areas in central and north Miami to be far more dangerous and unkept, but Little Havana never made me feel unsafe once. I’ve walked around there with only one other young female and found that people are warm and friendly there. You may need to brush up on your Spanish for convenience but I recommend a visit there. Have some Cafe con leche and eat the best Cuban food in US. (This is coming from a non Hispanic Miamian)
Hi I live in Little Haiti and is NOT that bad at all. I ride my bike through here all the time. Places west of 95 are worse.
Coral way is literally a street that’s miles long. I’m sure you were referring to Coral Gables.
You should do a best neighborhoods in Miami. I’d be curious to see what you find.
Dude I'm a Native of Miami, it's a hell hole!! The Traffic, the Heat, Crime, it's overcrowded, the price of Housing. The People in Miami are also rude, and obnoxious. Like someone said in a previous comment it's beautiful, but Shitty at the same time!

One of my baby’s moms is from Liberty city, Miami

Hi, I'm looking to relocate and I'm trying to figure out what areas are best for living without a car ?
I grew up attending a church in number 9 called West Flagler Baptist Church. That area has old, small houses. Some interesting apartment buildings. Spanish-only stores and businesses. A funky mall. It’s really an area known as Little Havana. It’s a different world compared to the rest of the United States.
Trust me, no one is going to argue that the crime rate in Downtown Miami is not high. 😂
Dude you nailed it!!!
What the heck is Model City? Are you talking about Liberty City?
Jeff P, Yes. Model City is liberty city. Liberty city was called model city several decades ago
IsThisTheKrustyKrab?, Yes, those areas are in that area. I have always called that area Liberty City.
@@mantis10_surf85 Who the hell calls it Model City? One of my FWB's lives there. I go there all the time and have not heard anyone call it that. Usually people refer to it as just the City but it's still referred to as Liberty City.
Henny Lopez, Yes, you are right. I have never heard anyone call it Model City. It’s has always been called Liberty City in my lifetime and I am in my early 50s.
I know... I was born and raised in Miami. Never heard of Model City.
What about HIALEAH or Cutler Ridge??? Back in the 1990's, before the GPS era, most tourists driving a car with a rent-a-car bumper sticker would get lost on Liberty City and were never seen again. Lol!!!
This is straight fraud he don't know anything about 305
7:45 that is a florida man in action
That Little Havana bit about Cubans not calling cops and dispensing their own justice is garbage. There haven’t been Cubans like that since the 80’s, maybe the 90’s. Little Havana now is a mix of some genuinely decent people, and shady people that are cowards and snitches.
I agree on the blog, the police need a lot more out-reach programs in this country!
One of the things I miss from 'ye-olden days' was the concept of cop walking a beat. While this is a very inefficient way to fight crime on the scale of cities we have today, this wasn't their primary purpose. Actually walking a beat would create a strong sense of police presence, allow these officers to get a true feel for their community and a chance to see when things are amiss, and make the police officers feel a lot more approachable.
It also made a lot more people feel safer:
If the cops aren't willing to get out of their armored vehicles, how safe must your streets be?
I’m surprised opa locka didn’t get a mention
Opa locka is in dade county not the city of MIAMI to be exact
P99 Medina learned something new today thank you 🙏🏾 I been in Miami my whole life I always thought it was just another neighborhood
Ok the cage around the A/C is real concern in Miami. People have been stealing the compressors for the copper and selling that. FYI the worst neighborhood in Miami is Miami Gardens by a mile.
Can someone tell me what's like to live near JMH? Is it really too dangerous?
This guy doesn't know anything about Miami. Coral Way is a bad neighborhood? Coral Way is an east, west corridor; not a neighborhood.
And Flagler Street is a long east, west corridor, not a neighborhood.

MIAMI X
Miami have the worst neighborhoods in Florida coming from a person that been through the hole Florida they just different down there.
Have you actually been to Miami? You left out Miami Gardens(The murder capitol of the the state) & Opa Locka. You also omitted North Miami, which has some horrible neighborhoods but also has Sans Souci & Keystone Point, both with mostly million dollar plus homes. The park you showed is Morningside park, which is in Morningside and just north of Bay Point. Lots of expensive homes in both places.
Wynwood is actually nice ,, a lot of good art stores , lounges, art over all the buildings and it’s where they have a lot of concerts at
living in coconut grove, I don’t know what this guy is talking about. Beautiful community and amazing place to live
He wasn't talking about crime in coconut Grove, he was talking about the high cost of living
Wyn Wood does have a great scene though. I've lived in three or four of these places and been through some others. From my personal experience Miami is mainly about how you carry yourself, if you walk around like a good ball or a "better than" you might have issues. No where is perfect, and sometimes "victims" are not squeaky clean & upstanding. None the less "out of towners" are better suited to go around with ppl from the area ( at first) or enjoy the wonderland that is South Beach. I'll always have some love for Miami, it's people, & magical culture.
If you looking for a beating .go to Over town Ha love it
