+AntDude Hey, I'm the creator of Voyager of Time! Thanks for featuring my hack! I will let you know that Zelda64 is really almost impossible to mod--it's a huge mess, and was clearly not meant to be messed with after it is done. The tools out there for people are not user friendly, and I actually had to learn hex editing and programming to make any sort of progress on it--my ideas for the hack were just not able to be done on the engine that Z64 is made in without some advanced knowledge on programming in general. It does have issues that I recognize--there's random terrible fog that can happen and a few glitches like being unable to get the Serenade of Water. Reason for that? The game actually doesn't trigger the cutscene with Sheik if you pick up anything other than the Iron Boots in the Ice Cavern. Since the boots are not actually there in my game, then there is no way for the player to get that song. Another thing that actually took a week of about three people trying to figure out was the issue of the sword. Turns out that Sheik not only blocks the way of getting the sword when you turn adult, the game has a single half byte that is either a 1 or 0 that must be changed to give you the ability to pick it up. There are a MULTITUDE of problems that OOT has in general for it's terrible coding that causes some major frustration when people go to hack, so be sure to keep that in mind when playing these games. I decided that a fresh story would be more interesting than a complete game overhaul (which is not able to be done with my skills), at least to give the people a finished hack that I promised. Thanks again for reviewing my hack and hope you try Zelda's Birthday again--it's not my hack, but I have spoken with the creator, and while there's a few issues, it was the first hack ever made for the game, and is worth an attempt!

I didn't finish it as I had to move on to other things, but it's on my list of things to do! As for Zelda's Birthday, it was weird. I know it's somehow functional, but I just couldn't get it to. Then I came up with the joke and just had to do that instead.

Strange that Zelda's Birthday just flat out crashed. Out of the hacks that do exist for Ocarina of Time (which are not many, unfortunately) it is probably one of the better ones. It doesn't do anything too special or crazy, but it's still not bad. Though, it is pretty terrifying at points. You actually have to go through the Bottom of the Well at one point and it just... it looks like Hell. Yep. That's not creepy at all. The Bottom of the Well was already terrifying. Why ya gotta make it the Bottom of Hell?
+Adrian Markowski I disagree.the ps3 has way more games,and a few if the ps4 s big games like watcg_dogs,little big planet 3,metal gear 5,etc.they may not be as good,but they are there along side hundreds of stellar games.plus they're getting cheap.i got mine for 10$,and it's backwards compatible.

Yeah, Zelda ROM Hacks aren't very abundant, and though there are some good ones, they aren't too impressive overall. Now Pokemon, that's where the ROM Hacking gets crazy! More than I can say for Kirby, which I swear has NO ROM Hacks whatsoever.

I would like tell that I found really good hacks made for windows, and I really enjoyed play them a long time ago: Zelda: Return of the Hylian; Zelda Oni Link Beguins and Zelda: Time to triumph. They play as a trilogy. It would be really good to see you doing a review on them!

Parallel Worlds has some criticisms about its difficulty. I played it a little bit and I have to say, they're not wrong. Like Bruce Campbell vs. Ganon, bomb jumps are a thing in it. Besides that, I personally can deal with a bit of higher difficulty. The only problem I have with it is the amount of backtracking you need to do. I mean, you start at the first castle, you look around for a key or two, find them and head to the other side of the castle to find a key item that you need for a room back near the start. Then, once you go all the way back to the beginning and go through a few rooms, you get another key item that you need for another room for- you guessed it- the other side of the dungeon. That being said, there is a remodel of it that is 100% worth checking out.

What about AlTtP: Master Quest, or Tower of the Triforce? You're also forgetting Parallel Worlds, Quest for Calatia, A Link to the Future, Cipher of Time and The Fallen Sage. Those are just some SNES ones. I have a hacked NES Metriod with Link as the main with Ganon's minions as the enemies.
Awesome video, and I know this was for entertainment but a few things to note. Original Zelda isn't modded much because most people use Zelda Classic, which has a ton of bad to really good "hacks" of the game. OoT is almost impossible to hack is a reason you will not see a lot done with it. I watch the people who made Voyager of Time and they explained a lot of what happened when making it. It sounds like a nightmare to try and do anything. Not sure about much from ALttP, but Parallel Worlds is amazing lol.
A Link to the Future is the title of the credits song of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. It’s a medley of the major theme songs in the game, and I highly recommend giving it a listen. :P

thanks to youtube's Recommended algorithm, this video popped up for me to re-watch after Link's Awakening (Switch) released...and for a second i didnt realize this was a three year old video...but that 3D Dot Heroes game has a similar camera setup to LA-Switch, only they kept the Screen Transitions...jus sayin...

+AntDude Hey man, I'm just after ordering an EZ Flash IV - for my gameboy micro - and was wondering would you know what process exactly would I need to undergo to play The Legend Of Zelda (Famicom 1986 Edition) and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on this system?
1) What Emulator would be best to use?
2) Would I need to convert the nes files to gba?
2) Would the save files work smoothly without any problems?
Btw, i'm using a Mac if that would be a problem for all the above questions :P I'd appreciate any help!
