If you're creating and selling a game, it's in your court to make sure as many people are capable of understanding it as possible. Now I will admit that when they make fun of less obtrusive direction, like arrows and glowy bits 'n shit, it's kinda stupid. Because we all know that without said arrow, he'd have no idea what to do. But he's not wrong in skipping the dialog and getting pissed off about the lack of direction. It's a punchy shooty slashy game, not a library session.

I'm really flattered that Grumps Dream Course still gets talked about years later. :D Especially by you! I've been a long time fan of your hack videos. I actually wanted to implement single player while we were developing it, but the maps just didn't lend themselves very well to a single player experience. I think one of the reasons a lot of Kirby romhacks don't exist yet is due to the lack of research and development. It takes a long time to parse through what different parts of the ROM mean. I really wish more research was done on Kirby Super Star (SNES), because I have a couple of hack ideas I'd love to do someday.
If you look in the bottom left corner of the wheel icon you see the top half of mike kirby. And if you look in the top right corner of the mike kirby icon you see the wheel kirby. That joke he made immediately after at 11:58 is the joke.

I know the person who made the translation of Super Star Stacker! I'm glad it's getting the attention it deserves. Proper fan translations can be difficult and even though it might not be as apparent more work went into than you might thing. A lot of subtle choices were made to make it look as nice as possible. Super happy to see it mentioned (and linked to) here.

There are also some pretty good Japanese Kirby Super Star ROM hacks, including: -an "Extra mode" version of Spring Breeze -a "Puzzle" level -a boss tower (based on the Kirby's Adventure level I think) but for some reason most videos of them have been taken down and/or copyright claimed and links to the Extra Mode hack don't work anymore...
