Nope. All enemies with damage reduction or dodge will specify what it applies to, and so far every enemy sanguinarch included just has 'physical and arts damage', so elemental damage/elemental buildup is basically a second fancier true damage, no DR, no dodging, just kill.

S1 has higher DPS than S2, charges quicker, and of course, better for the hand
For consistent dps, s1 is better than a lot of blademaster skills. s2 is mainly for bullying scary elites with stunlock
does Valarqvin apply full ele dmg from her basic attacks even if there is dmg reduction? im not sure how these ritualist supporters work
