I'd find someone that's actually making the body first....as I haven't seen that body available. you'll most likely end up with a 1/10th scale though, as they have the most bodies available - they sell their bodies chassis based on width, either 190mm or 200mm....you can do either with an electric 1/10th scale chassis, just by altering the wheel offset.

Rich would you mind explaining to me why these new 4s lipo batteries are at 15.2 volts now? I've been out of hobby for some years now and have plenty 14.8 4s but not 15.2.
I don’t have time to write a book but basically it’s just a higher voltage cell. 4.35v per cell fully charged. But we still treat them like 4.20v per cell. Less chance of running too low, and it never gets fully charged. Hence a lot safer in many ways. The cells never get fully stressed.
As others have said, LiHV lipos can do one of two things.....Charge up to 4.35v/cell (most of them.....some differ slightly) as a competitive edge, where allowed, or they can be charged as a normal Lipo to 4.2v/cell with some breathing room to keep the Lipo trouble free. Some experts say that all Lipos are actually LiHV, and this is all just marketing....but I'll play by the rules set my the manufacturers. Also, you do need a Charger that's capable of charging to 4.35v/cell
Hi, does that XT90 connector handle that battery amp? Would it handle a Castle Creations Mamba X esc and motor, and a Team Orion Carbon Pro 6400 14.8 volt 90c battery pack, will an XT90 anti spark connector work with this?
XT90 is fine for most 2s-6s applications, although I use XT60's on my 2s and smaller 3s packs now. I haven't used an anti spark before....I'm sure it will work though
@@TheRCNetwork Thank you very much for the reply. I have been told by others I need big connectors because of the amps. But I want an anti spark good plug type. I’ll give them a go.
@@harlyquin Universal driveshafts excel in rough conditions and can generate additional side bite by providing additional roll in the corners. The suspension is allowed to work more efficiently when compared to the additional mechanical binding in CVA’s. This allows the vehicle to absorb bumps better with a reduced risk of “catching a rut” and flipping the car while cornering. For smoother tracks, CVA’s will produce more forward traction and support, but universals are also well suited with slight suspension setup changes (springs and oil). The basic design of a universal driveshaft means virtually no maintenance is required and dirt and dust won’t foul the operation of the joint. - I didn’t write this but fully agree 😃👍
@@TheRCNetwork ok i totally understand the last part but the part where drive shafts can generate additional side bite is way over my pay grade, i was thinking that was a job mainly taken on by the tyres, all i know is what happened with my car, that is the uni's were binding at a decent angle and the problem went away when i installed CVD's
I think Losi is the best racing 1/8 buggy ''IMO'' because they all ready have a cutout for a slipper clutch on the e buggy that lets you know that their minds are all about racing, but imagine if every body thought that same way, and their was nothing but TLR's on every track that would be a very boring race and I would not want to race if I just wanted to race. I learned with a slash then got a Mugen that I raced for a while back in 2012 my buddy had a Losi and he would bet me all to hell, but when we switched buggy's he would still beat me, so its mostly the driver, I have not had a buggy for 10 years got the bug again, but I am torn between the Losi and Tekno I think the Tekno has the better shocks, I have herd that the Losi wears out a little faster than other buggy's that's why I have not pulled the trigger on it yet if I was just racing that would not matter to me but I am older now and want to have fun and race occasionally
They do make a good presented product, in the box. It goes together well (except for the extra spacer that TLR has failed to update over 2-3 owners manuals..). I still prefer Tekno, IMO. They have a much more "grass roots" race team - that has attracted Maifield now, so it should be interesting. TLR (Horizon Hobby) really only has Phend now..and Pro-Line is a dying brand as well.

😂 - that's mostly on the build reviews! Just in the TLR build review, there was over 200 B-Roll clips for that video. Yeah, I will have to do a compare after I drive the TLR
@@TheRCNetwork I would be interested in a video comparing the 1/8th buggies you have driven or just reading an article compaing the EB48 to the Elite. I am still waffling on getting the new ET48 2.0 or an 8ight-XTE. The scary part is getting both isn't out of the question.
Tekno EB48 2.0 was my first (and only so far) kit build. As someone new the building a kit, it was helpful to have all the lengths of the turnbuckles, 1 to 1 of all the used screws, and other associated parts printed in the manual. Everything is laid out nicely and done in steps with all the parts for a step in a single bag. I also like their warranty and return policy for broken parts.
This is by far not the worst instruction manual....have you built a Capra or an SCX10iii? The motor mount is growing on me...but we will see when I need to do a pinion swap.

Some experts say that all Lipos are actually LiHV, and this is all just marketing....but I'll play by the rules set my the manufacturers. Also, you do need a Charger that's capable of charging to 4.35v/cell
nice video man
Thanks buddy!
Serpent SRX8 Pro best buggy IMO.
Not too many Serpent cars in my area, TBH
Will the servo pair up to my Futaba 7px ??
Yes, of course…..I’m using the same radio.
So have you had a chance to run it yet?🤔
Not yet...been working on the ET48 2.0 / Vorteks trucks...hopefully next week-ish
@@TheRCNetwork Ok
Agama work well 👍
I've never owned an Agama
@@TheRCNetwork I'm really confused, sorry 🙃
why universals and not cvd's? i remember replacing the universals with cvd's in my losi xx4 because they weren't very smooth when steering.
There are advantages of Universals over CVD's
@@TheRCNetwork and they would be?
I still have the MBX8e but that TLR body is damn sexy
Yeah, once it was painted, all of the curves and lines came alive on this body
How fast can you go with that combo?
I'd not really about how fast, it's about how much torque and efficiency.
RICH!!! 🤯 What happened to Ant 🐜 Man mode?!?!? 🤣😅🤣😅😂 Lol! But really tho.....azzzz usual......keep up the gr8 work! Still very curious what your take will be on this vs. EB48 2.0.....I really like this buggy, but I'm really anxious to see how u feel about this comparison.......
😂 - that's mostly on the build reviews! Just in the TLR build review, there was over 200 B-Roll clips for that video. Yeah, I will have to do a compare after I drive the TLR
@@TheRCNetwork
I would be interested in a video comparing the 1/8th buggies you have driven or just reading an article compaing the EB48 to the Elite. I am still waffling on getting the new ET48 2.0 or an 8ight-XTE. The scary part is getting both isn't out of the question.
I dont now, But the Tekno i think ins great, so we will See what you meen After the Running the TLR
Yep, so far the TLR looks great....but how will it drive??
@@TheRCNetwork im excited to see the result, witch buggy drives better
Losi,losi,losi,losi...........nice....... nice...
Yep, they're def. nice products!
How much in total is this build?
Easily over 1000
Tekno FTW
Yes, I am a Tekno fan...but this one is quite nice too
@@TheRCNetwork Would you consider doing a build series on the new ET48 2.0?
You don't have to twist my arm on that one......✅
Can't decide between a TLR, Tekno, or Xray😖
All great choices....although I've never I've never owned an Xray.....
@@TheRCNetwork yup, that's the one I'm leaning on the most
Elite is the way to go
Tekno EB48 2.0 was my first (and only so far) kit build.
Forget the paint, my Mugen Eco will eat that thing alive at the OCRC track, better run 6s, ill give you a break and just run 4. #challengeaccepted
Slow your drag brake down there smokie...... #bringiton
I love this buggy, but really don't like the motor mounting and the mesh changinh
Aww, c'mon man - you're giving up a few tenths a lap by not using the Yellow wheels. 😂
That is likely
Is this channel associated with RC driver online?
No, but I am good friends with Greg and others that he works with
@@TheRCNetwork good enough for me lol I'll sub. I like Bashing and racing looks like you got a bit of both!😎
Serpent srx8e pro
I've never owned a Serpent before
@@TheRCNetwork i've a serpent srx8e...it's great car
Yellow wheels are better, just as fast as white wheels
Mugen mbx8 👍
It's a great option
Xray
Mugen!
Mugen makes some great stuff....but never owned one...I've driven one though
TEKNO
yeah, I'm a little partial to Tekno....
Tlr Arrma 🤣, if put on a diet..
There's not similarities between TLR and Arrma, tbh
Garbage instruction errors, weird motor mounts and overpriced kit.
Not what I expected from TLR.
This is by far not the worst instruction manual....have you built a Capra or an SCX10iii? The motor mount is growing on me...but we will see when I need to do a pinion swap.
