I will be there this Tuesday July 13th and I’m glad I saw this video about the Permits at Waimea Canyon. I had emailed you about rental cars and I finally found one on Turo for 140.00 per day, got it for 5 days. I will be in Kaapa for 10 days. I couldn’t get the voucher for Ke’e beach, I was too late. But I did reserve a spot on the Golf Course tour over in Princeville. Holo Holo dinner cruise to see the Napoli coast, all of this info on sites and things to do from your awesome videos. Aloha - we were just there and I'll admit- we momentarily wondered about the pass situation (resolved when I asked the guard). Kalalau (our favorite easily accessible view) wasn't visible due to cloud cover.

Aloha! I was solo this day so must have been a different group. I just started flying tours again this past Thursday. I'm only part time as I'm still working as an EMS Pilot on the mainland. I'll be doing tours when I'm home from my mainland job.
Another great video to explain the fees and charges! Very clear and useful to know! Now that Hawaii is opening up again, how about a video to explain what you need to do if you are fully vaccinated to travel again to Kauai! It's always clearer to me if explained in a video rather than just reading it on some webpage! Mahalo!!

One note as stated in fine print on the very bottom of the sign; Hawai'i residents are exempt from paying the fees. So just spend a trifling little amount money to permanently move over here to enjoy our island and you will not have to pay for these gorgeous views.
Things have changed. I appreciate the informative information. Planning a trip mid January 2022. The last time we were in my fave island Kauai was in 2019.
I was going to ask where did you keep the permit on your bike, but you didn’t need one. So did they ask you to show you are a resident?
He was not during this visit but have been on past visits.
A few years back i was on Kaua'i and saw the beautiful Waimea Canyon. I remember buying day use passes and thinking it was a good idea since it helps with upkeep of this State park. We also went to a visitors center/museum/gift shop and picked up a map showing the various hiking trails. I'm looking forward to going back and hiking some of those trails, hopefully this fall. Thank you Brodi for putting up another video of Kaua'i.

is this your motorcycle? Or did you rent? I would be very interested in renting motorcycles for our trip coming up if you have suggestions!

I can't wait to see Kauai for the first time this end of July! Fully vaccinated, too so no quarantines or COVID testing! Nice to see the channel back

I've not visited any of the islands yet, but have no issues paying into the "system" to help with the upkeep and such. I'll be happy to pay the fees as soon as I get there someday! Thank you for continuing to post these vids, I love em!
HI OHT! How many mins does it take to get to the 1st and 2nd stops, driving from the Fort? Which stop is the famous lookout everyone takes a pic of? TY!!!
Aloha! From the Russian Fort? I've never really paid attention..haha! Maybe 30 minutes?? Most drive all the way to the top to the Kalalau lookout and on a clear day it is amazing!!

Is Brody finally back home on Kauai doing the helicopter tours again?
Aloha Beverly! Brodi is still going back and forth for work on the mainland but was just hired by Air Kauai to do tours part time when he's home!! Feeling so thankful they were willing to work with him. He just started this past week and will be back in late August.
Absolutely love the views from the bike, looks so fun. We are finally making it back to Kauai first week of October and was wondering if you guys are going to do any updates on the island opening back up.
Since Brodi is home right now...back to work on the mainland soon..... I think we are going to try to get on to do a live tomorrow. Stay tuned!
What do residents pay. If a resident has guests do the guests have to pay?
