I did this trail in May on my first visit to Kauai. Even though the Stone Dam spur was closed, the trail was super relaxing and beautiful walk. I hiked all over the island during my two week stay. I would say to be sure to check this one out on a day that you need an easy, relaxing day.

We did this hike before the big rain storm. The Dam area was beautiful, sad that it's closed. IT WAS A GREAT HIKE!

I forgot it was Hawaii time video🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Stone dam is absolutely magical place I rode my bike to the place yes a road bike on those trails I am the little bit crazy🤷🏼♂️🚴🏽♂️ what a shame stone dam is still closed it is truly a magical place so beautiful🥰🥰

great video. I was able to get a shuttle to Haena. They are pretty booked out. Help! I need a suggestion for a zip line for my 14 year old granddaughter. Preferably something short and sweet that I can watch. Mahalo.

Regarding the North Shore update, glad it is finally open but I am sure it will be a traffic jam for the first couple of weeks up there. I am assuming the reservations are just for the trail or is that to even enter the area?

Aloha Ray!! The hike is on a working farm and private property. I believe those horses are all trail horses having their afternoon rest. They were so pretty!!! I was a little worried around them but they totally ignored us...haha! Glad you like the new design and glad to hear you are getting use out of your OHT bag!

Nope!! Those are actually OHT Subscribers that were visiting the island and found us at Rainbeau Jo's coffee truck which is parked next to the studio. hahaha!

I went kee beach today nice job they did a lot less people cool trail to beach but long 1/2 mile I’d guess and they still working in bridges too so slow going

On Hawaii Time no rode my bike of course 😂😂 and then boardwalk Changes to a nice gravel road through the woods And there are two bridges so it’s quite Enchanting the actual walk through the woods in through the boardwalk that’s kind of my favorites part of it
Wai Koa Loop trail was closed (literally Yesterday i was there) 😩🤣 I wanted it to be my swan song goodbye! oh well!

Ok, the last sign has broken off and people keep moving it around a bit but it completes the thought.
It is a wonderful hike to just take an easy walk in the shady woods. I has a little sun on the back end but overall fairly shady, flat, and well marked. Trailhead is to the right of the new playground and starts behind it. First timers need to register first but can then just go directly to the trailhead on subsequent hikes.
3:19 Yes, that closed sign confuses people. The trail is open but only the Stone Dam is closed. It is still about the same distance.
