Undoubtedly my favorite remix from Wave 2. Even if I’ve never played Amazing Mirror, Dark Mind has one of the more under-appreciated final boss themes in the series, and this does the song great justice.
My goodness, the composer(s) really amped up the coolness factor of this remix. When I play Guest Star as DMK, I often vanquish Morpho Knight quickly, so I usually don't hear this song in full outside of the pause menu. This is great.
After how long the Kirby series has gone without a new smash rep, it deserves far more than just an echo fighter, especially with how many characters could be amazing fighters
I like to interpret this as Dark Meta Knight fighting against a version of Dark Mind that harnessed Galacta Knight’s power to revive himself. He does not want to redeem himself in the eyes of the Mirror world, Popstar, or anywhere else. He wishes to be the most feared thing in the Mirror world, Echoing Meta Knight’s own “strongest warrior” desires with a dark twist. Maybe that damned Butterfly was from the mirror world, we don’t know.

Making the cracked mirror floor of his battlefield the floor of Wave 3's Divine Terminus? That would mean that Void Termina *_IS_* Zero! I'm not sure if my headcanon is ready for that...

I would love to pick up amazing mirror someday. Navigating through the area as dark meta knight was super fun in star allies as it felt similar to a metroid game and i hear the final boss in this game is impressive as well.
Dark meta knight is one of my favorite dream friends (the others being marx, magalor, doroach, and the mage sisters) and this theme is awsome. Very fitting!
Honestly I would prefer a more direct sequel to Amazing Mirror instead. I remember when they said the upcoming Kirby Switch game would focus on multiplayer and I was so excited for what I thought would be that sequel, but then we got Star Allies instead. Granted, I love Star Allies and playing as DMK is an absolute blast, but going through the Candy Constellation rooms in his Guest Star run reminded me of just how cool the game could have been if it was styled more after Amazing Mirror like I thought it would be, especially considering Star Allies didn’t quite switch up the formula enough from the three previous games to keep it from feeling a little stale. They should probably remake Dreamland 2 before anything else, but if they went with remaking Mirror, they would absolutely HAVE to have an epilogue mode like RTDL’s but with Dark Meta Knight instead.
If only we hadn’t heard the original about 5(?) times in Amazing Mirror -_- HAL outdid themselves regardless with the original GBA bass sample, and phase 2 sounding AMAZING.
