My Van Tour - Renault Master Panel Van Conversion

- This is a tour of my van. It's a 58 registration Renault Master LWB 2.5TD High Top panel van with a full conversion. The conversion was carried out long before I bought it, as it had been used previously as hire stock by a leisure vehicle hire company in Newcastle upon Tyne, but luckily its a Diesel engine with only 43,000 miles on the clock when I bought it - so fairly low mileage and well maintained. Another bonus is that it came complete with all of the safety certificates as you would expect with it being ex leisure hire fleet - which was reassuring. I've owned it since July 2016 and it certainly has everything that I need and more.

Finally somebody who put a bathroom in the right place.
This is by far the nicest van conversion I have ever seen. The layout is incredible and it is incredibly done.

Simon Gabor I saw your comment after I commented and realized we said almost the same thing. lol. This van is incredible. I've viewed tons of van conversions and have never seen a layout this good. I also am impressed with the quality of the entire build.

cause thats what you do at your home too, right? walking through the house in your muddy shoe... you realize that this is an rv, space is really an issue here... (facepalm)
I have to say that alike many others, I have seen umpteen conversions. But yours is my favourite so far. I really like the curvy seating as it creates an atmosphere more conducive to that feeling of homeliness. Love the dog bowl tip too. Superb!
Just amazing! It looks so cozy, I could find me a good thunder storm and sleep like a baby.

Watched and garnered info on conversions for months now. This is better than any conversion I've ever seen. In fact it's better than many factory jobs. Total respect Bryan, you are the king of van conversions. Enjoy it. I'm gobsmacked.
David Johnston I wish I could take all the credit for this conversion, but I did buy it already converted this way. It is a great layout and very comfortable and still one of the best layouts I have found.

I saw on another video, someone strung elastic cording about a foot from the bottom of the wardrobe from side to side, this kept their clothes from peaking out and preventing the closure of the door. I thought it was a brilliant fix. TFS

This is the firs conversion I've seen with the bathroom on the back like that. As a SCUBA diver, I really like the idea of being able to access the wet room without walking through the van.

Nice layout inside. I like how besides upper cabinets, you have that little ledge under them to put small items.
Its a good idea, but they are sometimes too convenient and often get filled with stuff that should be put away properly in the first place ;-)

Hi Will; How about that -- two bathrooms in a van. That is absolutely amazing! I also like the way the couches are arranged -- it actually feels like a living room. I really think you hit a gold mine there with the price, the mileage, and the configuration. Lucky you. I also enjoyed the British accent and the unusual words. One of the best conversions I've seen. Look pretty good. Would be nice if you would have solar panels on the top but I guess you don't have much sun where you are :)

this is a sweet set-up, high-end looking @ the time of build it was top of mark I bet , great floorplan nice use of space ...perhaps in the future on back doors you could get a linoleum floor material on the doors that would be more water resistant & shouldn't cost too much , anyways great van thanks for showing best of luck

Nice van. Very well thought out and practical. As for security, how about a fire extinguisher sprayed in their face? Also a soccer horn... one of those loud things they have in stadiums.

Really a wonderful build and design....I was happy to see a very compact yet well designed shower and toilet....people neglect these most important aspects of the conversion simply to add a bigger kitchen...I just don't understand how you can live in something that does not offer you the ability to maintain proper hygiene and the ability to relieve yourself in comfort at any time of the night or day...did you build the cabinets yourself? if so , a wonderful job!. I really could find nothing that I disliked about your conversion....it is exactly what I would like to have myself.....great job to be sure!.....how much do you have all in for the project - if you do not mind the question???

I've just bought a Regie Renault Master and I'm looking for someone to do the conversion for me yours looks very good not the layout that would suit me but it's a good use of the space . I leave the dog bowl in the van as the dogs x 3 usually need a drink through the night.

Renault Master are Brilliant vans. I have one and my next van will be another Master 100% Sure !
They are fast and comfortable and drive extremely well for a large commercial.
100 % reliable. mine only spent one ride on a recovery truck, The starter motor failed at around 275,000 miles. other minor issues it drove to the garage under it's own power.
I was back on the road 2hrs later.
Alternator bearings went, but it completed the job and drove to the garage squeeling and grinding.
what a nice van. Did you do the conversion yourself? do you use the internet while in the van? I also use very warm insulation when in a van but I like the idea of lambs wool insulation. Where would you buy that fairly cheaply? is the wool washed and treated before use? do you live in the van year round? I am heading to full time living and have struggled a bit with the idea in the UK... USA is far more of everything and I loved it there... where you park and where do you get an income to live in the van? Sorry fro so many questions Brian, I am looking for answers to all the questions I have about van living in the UK. where do you get your water from? How long does it last? do you travel in it much? again its a nice van and a good video of your home. :)

Nice van Brian. I'm currently looking for one myself. I noticed you pointing out your drone, which is the main reason I want a van. I want to be able to have an overnight stay when travelling with my drone to get footage from a greater area. Whilst Northumberland, where I live is a beautiful place. I'd very much like to travel a bit further afield. I realise this video was done a while ago, but how much did you pay for your van? I simply don't have the time to do a conversion myself, and some of the prices I've seen for already converted vans etc are quite ridiculous! Thanks in anticipation.
stu lazonby hello Stu thanks for your message. I paid close to £20,000 for the van and that was not new. I no longer have this van, but I do have a basic long wheel base high top panel van which I have made into a cosy overnight retreat for those trips away or for longer stays. Saved myself a fortune.
@@mobilelifeofbrian5171 Why don't you have the van anymore ? I notice a lot of comments above ( or below now !) seem to think your (now old) van is a home build out and don't realise it is a manufactured conversion. It was well set up though including the wet room.
Liz Steeds hi Liz, I didn’t want to put too many miles on the clock as this will devalue it considerably when selling on. I decided that I fancied a challenge and sought a newer base van with low miles with the option of a “do it exactly how I want it” kind of conversion. Then later there is always the option of having it professionally converted and making some profit, a bit like property development on wheels. I still have this base van and I will be doing a vlog on it soon.
Nice! Best layout I've seen. Just one (hopefully positive) comment... you could've stolen a bit more across the sliding door opening with your kitchen work surface. Having said that, you have at least given a decent amount of clear worktop. It amazes me how people forget about clear worktop - especially the mainstream players.
