Guys, don’t tell Tyler that there’s rare footage of him in shorts in this video 🤫
lmao.. i am sure he watched..
Too late lol
That car looks so cool, I love it.
Im going to his house to tell him now!
Good Night Nurse!!! 🤪
semi-famous RUclipsrs. nice
Hey, at least you were the famous one in that context 😂
But he needs to be in the next season of car trek
Yup
Ha ha!
Check your ego
This car is why I found your channel. Great story
Thats awesome man. Getting this car was a huge blessing.
Me too! Awesome channel, keep it up Elliott!
This channel has so much potential, clever intros, and intriguing storylines. This feels like watching Apple when they were still working out of the garage
That is a very interesting and flattering comment Marc. Thank you!
@@ElliottAlvis Prove me right! Also 2 to 3 years from now when you're at a million subscribers, don't forget the early subscribers!
@@ElliottAlvis Yeah brother remember us😁
And now... the REST of the story
Nice of Tyler…”JR bought it…..just kidding”. You can see him showing Ed and Tavarish the text and saying “watch this” 🤪
Oh I am sure he got a good laugh out of it lol
Perfect car for the channel! It’s just so fitting that the wrap is a “pearly white” 😁
funny how that worked out isn't it
Dammit Elliott, I'm supposed to be working right now.
Tyler's just going to have to wait.
Sorry Tyler! Sorry Ralph's employer!
Honestly, it was a great choice to post the video after Car-Trek aired, that is how we found the channel and have been subscribed since!! Amazing how one video can change everything :)
Thanks for subscribing! I’m glad everything worked out the way it did.
@@ElliottAlvis We are too!! We look forward to the videos to come!!
Here before Hoovie's video :) What an awesome video. Very cool to see the delivery footage and the behind the scenes. Excited to see the interior in person whenever we thaw out and get back to Cars & Coffee.
Haha, thanks for watching mine early dude! And you'll definitely get to see this car in person when we thaw out!
@@ElliottAlvis we will have to line em up too to see just how quick it is!
This car is the only reason I found your channel, and I must thank the car for That
Well I’m glad the car brought you here! Thanks!
I think we need to see Mrs Alvis test drive the Maserati as you tell her that the average annual mileage is 15,000 and your clutch might not live that long.
Haha, I think you’re right!
Cant wait to see more on this car, you don’t see a lot of Maserati’s on RUclips
I guess you're right, there aren't that many!
Clicking on this video before @Hoovies Garage 's Maybach !
haha, I love it. Thank you!
By the intro of this video, it reminded me of Hoovie’s former (now Tavarish’s) 355 that went up in flames!
Haha, I guess the intro fits that car as well 😂 🔥
Talk about Goosebumps, from what i feel from my Subwoofer i can just imagine being there in person when you started it the first time. Any updates on it? Project still going? Please cold start it on every future video, that V8 is just amazing to hear and makes my desk tremble.
I love how at the end of the intro you hear the Maserati engine while showing the Prius 😂
Yes, it is NOT an easy car to work on, BUT you have Friends with parts connections and an EXCELLENT mechanic to help with the REALLY hard stuff at a reasonable price. WONDERFUL that your Dad and friends have helped you work on it. Hope to you do a special salute to your dad for Father's Day, I know he will appreciate it. MUCH better deal than a Ferrari, but having the performance and sound....
Thanks John. You are totally right. I am in the right place at the right time to own a car like this. The support system I have is unreal and I am super thankful for everyone that makes this possible.
It just fits you so much...perfect!
Thank you! I agree, I love this car
Not trying to be rude but this car is the whole reason why i subbed to you. I love the look of it and wanted to see it’s progression. Glad i found you on here
Nothing rude about that! I’m glad you’re here!
@@ElliottAlvis thanks man! Once i finish my project, i’ll come find you out in Kansas and we can race 😂
After it's all fixed up it'd be great to actually take it to track events or drag it a few times would love to see
As soon as its all done, Id love to do some performance driving with it. I will definitely take it to car shows as-is though!
Yes! More Elliott Noir! The best video style by a Notary!
haha, thanks Drew!
Ouch! That wheel rubbing 😬
Great story! I had no idea you had it for that long before you could post any videos!
The car looks like so much fun now!
5:22 hey remember when we could wear shorts?!
🤣🤣
Shhh thats forbidden Hoovie in shorts footage
@@ElliottAlvis You know, since Jake blew up his BMW, you could gift him the FreeMW and get ya rotary to play with so we can finally have the Rotary Noraty!
@@ElliottAlvis Eww
I remember when we were above freezing period! It was so long ago!
My favorite car youtubers uploaded 2 times this week!! (generic 1990s tv music plays)
You are just getting bombarded with car content this week!
@@ElliottAlvis And im loving it Tavarish just uploaded too!
Hey Mr Motary Notary, I love the intro, (the whole video is great). I'm still on oxygen but I'm feeling much much better!! I hope to be back to normal in a week or so!!!
Thanks for taking me on the adventures with the Maserati, I enjoy all of your videos!!!
Hey Christopher, thats good to hear that you're feeling better! Glad I can keep you somewhat entertained during this tough time.
@@ElliottAlvis Thanks Elliott, you're doing a great job my friend!! 👍🙂
The Car Trek (Season 2) Maserati: The Story So Far.
Once you dig into the engine to replace those gaskets, I hope it gives you the opportunity to clean up some more of that extinguisher residue, and also do some "while I'm in there" fixing.
I'm glad this Maserati gets to live on in the RUclips world. Great story!
You have such a great channel man and your anchoring skills are so great!
With this amount of effort and dedication I know you are headed in the right direction & May your channel grow exponentially! All the best❤️
Thank you! That means a lot!
I want everything great for this channel. I feel like you’re just “one of the guys” who knows just enough to not make dudes like me feel “less than” when it comes to cars. You seem like a Down to earth, humble guy, Elliott. Thanks for the story time.
Great job so far . Keep it honest and real . The authenticity is showing thru something the other car channels lose with time
Thanks Adam. I’ll keep it real. I promise.
You should resto mod the car, get a custom harness for it so you get rid of all the electrical mishaps and get a new head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, upgraded speakers and things like that
This video gets an extra like because of the cameo by Mrs. Alvis.
Ah yes, gotta include the wife!
It is fun to watch someone working on an "aspirational" car. Your excitement is front and center. Reminds me of earlier video series from some of the other semi famous folks. Tavarish, Hoovie, Samcrac, others have been able to move up the budgetary ladder to feature a different level. And they are a blast to watch as well. Enjoying adding your content to my watch mix.
Thanks Roger! I appreciate that
Advice - buy another used clutch if you can find one cheap and low mileage. This way your not under the gun, and they are available as the car is kinda at that perfect tipping point of age, where you may find one. Put it on the shelf just in case.
Thats not a bad idea actually...
Did you get my last text,it was about SRT Hellcat's are no more shut down for good.....By french influence....Thanks for this video story....Awesome....Thanks my friend...Cheers...!
I did Steve! Shame. But thanks for watching!
Master storytelling! Especially when the subject is so darned cool!! So happy everything worked out so well. Looking forward to seeing your future adventures with the mighty Maserati!
Thanks mom! Thanks for listening even though you already knew the story! Lol
One of the reasons I subscribed to your channel. Actually I did that after tyler and you did that mega house tour lol. Great content and hope luck comes your way and you get up there with hoovy and tavarish. You deserve it
It’s a cool car, I’d be pumped to own it also. I hope you have a lot of fun with it. Carry on, son.
Thank you!
Keep up the good work! I know I subscribed once I saw you had this car. It really is my favorite Car Trek Car and I'm so glad its story continues. I'm a fan of the channel now and do enjoy the 'free'mw content as well!
Thanks for the sub! Glad you are enjoying the videos Lenny!
Great stuff Elliott. Definitely get the suspension squared away, then we can talk some tasteful mods and maybe stripping the wrap and a nice paint job, making it yours!
Thanks William!
Now that’s fast 💨
Great video Motorly
This car brought me to your channel, Elliott, and I am so happy that it did! You are the owner this car deserves, especially after its role in Car Trek. I am so happy in your choice in keeping its aesthetics and focusing on solely on driver comfort and its mechanical side. Can't wait for whats next, I'm absolutely loving your content!
Thank you so much! I’m glad this car brought you my way!
I clicked on video because i got that first video on my home page.
I subscribed because you show some of work, and you have Italian car for project.
Couple of tips. Show more how you work on cars. Something like tutorial.
Show how to remove door cart, or replace parts (in details if its possible). Don't do stupid time-lapse. Car guys like to see how its done in detail, not showing off what you have.
For reference, watch videos of "m539 restorations". He got a lot of views and subs in short time because he doesn't do time-lapse,
i mean he does it but just for some repetitive stuff. Most of the time his videos are like tutorials for specific cars, even though he work on some for the first time.
I hope you channel grow more!
Greetings from Serbia!
Thank you Shanirani!
I love Story Time with Elliott!
Thanks Sock! I do my best to keep it entertaining lol
@@ElliottAlvis you sure do
Elliott, I don't know how you kept yourself from going MAD! I am terrible at waiting for anything and would not be able to handle waiting until after a blackout period ended without losing my mind. You really did a great job and these videos are the proof that your instincts were 100% accurate. Congratulations on your growing successes, my friend.
Thanks Mitchell! If you watch my early videos really carefully, you can see this car under a cover in the background lol
@@ElliottAlvis I might have to try out watching one of those old ones for those clues!
Great recap! Enjoyed it.
Thanks James!
I'm really glad tou did this video. It kinda ties this all together. Buying that car was probably the best move you've made! Just the fun factor alone. Looking forward to seeing it in person. Tavarati!!!
Thanks Paul. I agree that this car is the best move I've made, and I genuinely do love the car
@@ElliottAlvis How many subs did you have before you bought this? I don't remember. FYI, I subbed way back when you did the video about the flathead V8 car.
@@ModelA good question Paul, I kind of forgot how many subs I had before the car. Maybe 5,000
Mexico test roads got snow also !
This weather system hit far and wide!
This channel is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Well done!
Thanks James! That’s a big compliment!
A great genuine guy - super channel 👍👍
Didn;t realise I wasn't subbed on this channel, just subbed to you there :)
Haha, thanks man!
Great story man. Can't wait to see it in person considering I didn't go to a single C&C all last year :(.
Excellent story Fred!
Man, I love this car! I'm looking forward to your future videos on it but damn, I want a car like this as well! lol :-)
Hoov is cold! Remind me never to piss'm off lol. Negotiations is the game
😂
Very nice story time
Thanks!
Good on you! Slowly but surely, you're building content. Granted you had to wait until CT2 aired, but your delivery is so measured and "Kansan" that it is nice to another one coming along. I really like the understated "look and feel" of your channel. It's rare to watch a channel like that and NOT have it be boring. Thank you. I think I'm subbed on another account, but I''m subbing on this one now.
Thank you! That is a very complimentary comment. I’m glad you’re here watching!
Loving the content in this car Steve! Happy for you and the growth of the channel!
Thanks Scott! You're continued support is awesome!
@@ElliottAlvis always man! Your content keeps getting better and better with every video.
This is great. Glad it went to a good home!
Can’t wait for the next update!
You do a great job keep it up
Great channel, will definitely be great to see how he grows it and future plans for channel
Thank you!
Ok, this first, then on to Hoovies.
😂 I love it
Deals like this, ALWAYS Say Yes. The whole "Forgiveness/Permission" thing.
That’s a good point!
Looks (and sounds) like a really fun car to drive!
I just got into your content and im really diggin it! Nice story also
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out!
Love the story, Elliott and loving the rescue on this hooptie! One thing, I'd suggest making a Car Trek Maserati playlist of all your videos on it, particularly given how many people (myself included) were drawn to your channel by it?
That’s a great idea! Thanks for watching.
@@ElliottAlvis just 24 hours later, you're a man of your word! Bravo 👍
Even just watching it on RUclips it feels like a surreal experience
Nice car bro, can’t wait to see it finished.
Thanks Douglas!
Damn, the want is strong. I get the emotion roller coaster. When you're ready to move on in a couple of years, I want dibs on it.
Sounds good Kenneth!
Did you ever modify your Hellcat? Do you genuinely feel the Maserati sounds better than your old Hellcat?
The suspension issues are a blessing in disguise. It’s the perfect opportunity to replace all the bushings with stiff polyethylene ones. See if Energy Suspension has a full kit for you.
Try and find if a previous Masi’ enthusiast has a nice set of used coilovers or stiffer struts with some aftermarket springs. I promise that using stiffer bushings will transform your car well beyond the most expensive KW/Ohlins struts. Diff and rear LCA bushings will keep your tires at 0* camber to make sure all the power is going to the ground, and your sway bay/endinks, tie rods, and control arms up front will transform your handling up front big time.
Since your car is wrapped you should get on rolling your fenders immediately to get rid of the tire rub.
Lastly, I dare you to do a few of these things without waiting for permission from Daddy or the wife. You’ll feel like Arnold Swartz in the ‘80s 100%
The car that brought me to your channel!
Awesome! Thanks for following along Nathan!
The Maserati is definitely a good car for the channel. I discovered your through the Hellcat video, and then I started watching almost every video from the 528i onwards. Are you 30 years old 🤔?
This was my favorite car on car trek. I’m excited to see more videos on it. Do you have plans to take off the stickers and stuff and clean up the paint?
Eh, not as of right now. The stickers are what make it recognizable!
Intro is 🔥
Thanks Melvin! I try to spice it up when I can lol
$7500 to do a clutch on that car at a dealership is honestly very reasonable believe it or not. I’ve seen Aston Martin’s cost over $9k to do a clutch job on those things.
Holy smokes! That’s crazy.
The first time you get to hear the car is great. But, how about the first time we get to see Hoovie's legs in shorts !!!
Thats rare footage right there!
You're doing good so far!
Thanks Jon!
I love the sounds en looks off this car. They are both loud, but it's okay
Sounds great 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks David!
The car that I found your channel with :)
That’s awesome Jamie! Glad the car brought you my way!
Great to see this car being restored
Thank you!
@@ElliottAlvis Great content, would love to see more of this build👍👍
Elliott if i may ask how much for a brand new clutch assembly?
Elliot what kind of shock absorbers has it got? Many times it will be much cheeper to send them back to the manufacturer and get them to rebuild them so much cheeper than buying new! I would shop around there will be loads of places where you can get them rebuilt!
All of a sudden Wichita is a pretty interesting place
Sure is 😉
After seeing what car ninja and your dad and uncle and friend did to help rebuild the car it went to the right guy.
Thanks man. I’m glad I had the opportunity to rescue this car
Nice T-shirt.
Nice video... Just, what about the radio in the car?
Oh yes, that will need to be addressed too! The radio is so bad 😂
I really love that car. She sounds really good
Me too Curtis! It’ll be here for a while. Thanks for watching!
The Ninja is too nice. He should have made you use a new clutch so he didn't have to do it again in 6 months.
Lol 😂 he’s hoping I won’t have the car in 6 months I’m sure.
The car definitely ended up where it belongs. Pretty cool stuff Elliott! Did you ever find out WHY they gutted the car like that? Seems like the parts Tavarish provided were mostly intact...so why were they removed? Things that make you go hmmmm... Keep on making the vids!
For all of Hoovie's prank texts....he should be required to re-purchase your Hellcat and gift that back to you. Haha. I know...it's a bit much, but if you don't ask, the answer is always no.
Good question! I never did figure out why the interior was the way it was, especially when they had most of it intact and separate from the car. Tavarish bought it with the interior already removed so it wasn’t him. My only guess is that they needed to do a heater core job and figured it would be easier to just not put everything back. And they were right, it is difficult. But not worth looking like you were driving around a jalopy lol
I think it was an awesome purchase ✔✔✔
I couldn’t agree more! 😎
Holy semi shifter. Suprized it's such a long throw for a sports car like that...
Interesting video, do cars get annual inspections in the US?
Depends on the city and state.
Some only check emissions, some do a full safety check, some just check for working lights and windshield wipers.
Thanks David! Inspection requirements vary from state to state. In Kansas we have no annual inspection requirements, but sometimes I wish we did lol
nice
Whats that saying? Bad choices make for great stories, or words to that effect. Best bad choice ever!
Steven Jacob, the semi-semi-famous notary public.
😂
@@ElliottAlvis all jokes aside, hell of a story
You got go somewhere with twisty roads and do a before/after suspension is fixed! :)
The exhaust looked restricted on the previous video or is that just a illusion? That flat part looked “flat”. ;)
Oh it’s flat, I’m just not sure what can be done about it as it’s like that from the factory.
@@ElliottAlvis let's just hope the engineers at Maserati calculated everything correctly and that the flattnes is OK! 😁
@@42Hertzer I’m sure they did it for a reason. And it still sounds amazing!
@@ElliottAlvis I’m just slightly envious... 😆
good intro
Thank you!
