Ummm Hoovie when they made this viper, where they still making the dodge Durango, as the first gen vipers just lifted their suspension purely from the durango, like cross check the codes, it might still be the case, as this is why on the first gen ones, you can actually put the rims and tires of that on them and it'll work if you need some cheap snowtires.

It’s, by far, the goofiest-looking Viper. I imagine a 1932 Chev coupe hot rod is hell to drive but it’s iconic - as is the first gen viper. Let me tell you what I’m looking for in a viper… not “refined”.
16:05 Yepppp one of the Viper wheels themselves you'll be lucky to get it for under $800... as for shocks had on to your hatsssss. and the prices for the other vehicles that you can use from a Viper makes zero sense. Wheels: same bolt pattern different offset as the 97-04 Dakotas/Rango
good video, lost it in the middle a little with the lambo tractor stuff, but brought it back with the viper prices and the ending changeup was good too, cuts off abrutly though
I can't believe there aren't aftermarket GOOD shocks for that car. Just a quick check I found Aidan (which I don't know, so can't judge if they're ok or not) that does coilover kit front+rear for that very car for 1700USD...
. . Dunlop tyres are the worst . . I had Dunlops on my RS6 when I bought it and the car would easily lose traction in the wet in the UK even though its has Quattro 4WD . . after 1 year the fronts were going so I fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around and god what a difference ! . . stuck to road in the dry and the wet . . and they have lasted 3 years . .
I would venture to guess that the exhaust mod is what causing an entire bank to flow improperly. Replace the exhaust it will also properly solve the problem with the other five cylinders.
BC Racing coilovers for the Viper are $1,400 for the set. Not saying that the exact way to go about it but since the car is already modified I'd consider koni or bilstein shocks or a medium quality coilover kit.

My 2004 Viper is such a treat (and tastefully modded). I think this is the best value sports car that has held value so well. Enjoy and it's cool to see a car I own on the channel 🐍
I want that gen viper. They’re crazy cool and reliable plus they’re cheaper than like a new mustang dark horse or any other new car with 500HP. Super underrated car
make that tractor purdy there farmer hoovie! it would look sooo cool all freshened up!
I've owned more than a dozen Corvettes. I got a wild hair years ago and test-drove a couple of Vipers.
I couldn't believe those things were street-legal. The tires broke loose when given the slightest bit of gas.
The car is so wide, it fully takes up half the road, leaving no room for error.
As a bonus, the car is bare bones with no modern amenities. For all this, you get to pay a huge premium.
I love that he always makes it seem like he was screwed over by the person he bought it from. Like everyone's a professional mechanic and knows anything about how a car works, and purposefully leaves out info. I bet everyone he buys from watches these and is like, "how would I know that? I'm an accountant."
It’s for entertainment. He doesn’t bug the seller with any of the drama entertainment content as far as we’ve seen.
You cant believe that even accounts defer scheduled maintenance? Believe it
I kinda feel like we were all meeting up for beers and pizza and that one friend brings their girl to the bar..
In the world of Vipers, nothing beats the second gen
except every gen after it 🤣😂
@@commonsenseisdeadandgone just because a band released a good album, doesn't mean all their albums are good
@@mirthenary I was making a funny because every Gen beat the previous out of the box!
Also don't all the fast 2nd gens have 5th Gen engines? 😂
If you haven't caught on yet, I'm being am asshole..... However then again, I'm not wrong 🤔
@@mirthenary just because a band released a good song, doesn't mean the album is good.
A "good album" is a stretch.... Nowadays for sure.
You know what they say about ASSumptions...Gen 2s cannot be topped. Ive had all Gens aside from G3 and cant get enough Gen 2 RT10. They rock
Good friend of mine has a 3rd Gen Viper and I love that thing. It's so brash and savage, it's one of the most insane cars I've ever been in, though he also has the V8 Ariel Atom and I rode in that right after the Viper and it scrambled my brain.
Hoovie having an insane midlife crisis rn. I love it
This is my favorite kind of Hoovie. Dealing with sketchy and expensive cars.
I definitely second the thought that you should dyno the Viper and show power gains over stock!
Probably the least obnoxious the gizzard has been for a while. Give us the Ninja.
These are some of the most reliable sports cars. They are truly bulletproof. Even more so than a corvette. And extremely cheap and easy to work on.
Man those old Chrysler interiors were something. That manual shifter couldn't look more out of place. 😂
Love the tractor. I'd fix it up to be a runner and then slowly fix it up obviously new tires and gold Dayton wheels first lol.
I'd really like to see that Viper sorted. Those shocks are a rediculus price. Are there any after-market shocks that can do the job just as well or better for aa whole lot less money?
Definitely a trade up, Tyler…and the Viper is ok, too…😂
A really great video on a car that needs some upgrading either new parts. Hoovie is back on fire and April is a wonderful addition. Go for it
Love the 3rd gen, excellent looking cars. Look forward to you fixing this one.
You should consider preserving the lambo tractor as is. The patina is cool and it'll be less expensive
I considered buying this gen Viper post-COVID when I was looking for a weekend toy. The torque is intoxicating. Got my 06 911 S instead. Living in Arizona at the time with the great mountain twisties was the tipping point.
You should upgrade to a new set of Coilover suspension. They’ll have a a warranty and make the car feel way more stable
Wow! great to see the Alfa Romeo Milano (75 here in the uk) in the shop. I had one of these back in the 90s a 3.0 V6 a fantastic car wish I still had it. But here in the UK they are so rare now you just don't see them.
Always find the 6 lugs to be so odd on a small sports car
Have you ever seen a Dodge Viper in person?
They can hardly be considered a "SMALL" sports car and a more akin to supercars.
@@williamegler8771a 911 is longer than a viper. The viper hood proportions makes the car look large
@@williamegler8771a 2004 Mustang, for example, is almost a foot longer than this Viper
The wizard must rub his hands together when he sees you coming😂😂
Ummm Hoovie when they made this viper, where they still making the dodge Durango, as the first gen vipers just lifted their suspension purely from the durango, like cross check the codes, it might still be the case, as this is why on the first gen ones, you can actually put the rims and tires of that on them and it'll work if you need some cheap snowtires.
U need to let ur crush to drive it
The new channel is a great idea. I'm subscribed and have watched the first two episodes and like everything with one exception. April needs to meet my cat Thomas to change her opinion of cats
Was there never an update to this video?
More work for Omega, David will be happy!
You seem to have a knack of buying cars with plenty of issues.
spending a fortune fixing them and then selling the car.
At least you keep Omega in work.
It’s, by far, the goofiest-looking Viper. I imagine a 1932 Chev coupe hot rod is hell to drive but it’s iconic - as is the first gen viper. Let me tell you what I’m looking for in a viper… not “refined”.
I was kinda thinking about checking out your other channel....but yup there is a "D" in the background so as a Trek fan the answer is an emphatic yes.
i LOVE a classic Hoovie rescue - idgaf about the morning show stuff tho lol
Nice that Wizard jumped to the hyper car version of a snake, LOL. They are stupid expensive, very very fragile and super expensive up keep
17:10 there should be a video of taking the Viper to a dyno to check HP and tune drivability
Honestly I like the noise of it, I could still hear you talking. Hoping you’re using this in the next cartrek
Welcome back glad to see your smiling again . Good for you. God Bless.
Try the BC Racing coilovers for the viper!
I accidentally forget to bring my lunch to work. Hoovies accidentally buys a V10 sports car 😂.
I can't believe there aren't aftermarket GOOD shocks for that car. Just a quick check I found Aidan (which I don't know, so can't judge if they're ok or not) that does coilover kit front+rear for that very car for 1700USD...
. . Dunlop tyres are the worst . . I had Dunlops on my RS6 when I bought it and the car would easily lose traction in the wet in the UK even though its has Quattro 4WD . . after 1 year the fronts were going so I fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around and god what a difference ! . . stuck to road in the dry and the wet . . and they have lasted 3 years . .
Do Coil overs the tune up fluids etc. Better be plugs and wire and Coil packs.
Double adjustable performance shocks made with modern technology are only $400 each. Plus they'll give it a much better ride while also handle batter.
That KITT replica at the Wizard's instantly caught me eye, it's so beautiful.
I would venture to guess that the exhaust mod is what causing an entire bank to flow improperly. Replace the exhaust it will also properly solve the problem with the other five cylinders.
Does crazy D know so much about tractors because he harvests his own dinner
Let me pull the window up then proceeds to push the pedal 😂 gotta love hoovie
BC Racing coilovers for the Viper are $1,400 for the set. Not saying that the exact way to go about it but since the car is already modified I'd consider koni or bilstein shocks or a medium quality coilover kit.
You should have crazy d fully do up that tractor. It's not usually my type of content, but seems super interesting.
U mean heavy d?
Awesome! Especially in the rare best color black! Just beautiful Tyler. Thanks
Man I remember the resale on these use to be AWFUL! They didn't hold their value at all. In 07-08 you could find low mileage 03-06 Vipers for 35-40k. Sounds crazy to even type that now.
My BS Racing coil overs are 1254.00 per side for the front, 976.00 for the rear per side
Why not get good aftermarket coil overs like a bc racing set?
yay my man tyler is back with a lot of bangs both in life and cars
Hoovie out here describing the 2004 Viper and either not knowing or forgetting that MB GMbH bought Chrysler/ Dodge the year before and stole their new Viper design for the MB SLS66AMG leaving Dodge to scramble and redesign the Viper from scratch.
Accidental purchase. Don’t you hate when you trip and your wallet falls out allowing your credit card to topple into the card slot of the payment terminal. Then as you grasp to stop your fall your fingers hit the exact PIN number and suddenly you own something new. Happens to me far too often. Especially at the Apple Store. Damn smooth floors!
