Like he could teleport himself to Usopp, teleport them both back to the trap and teleport away, which accomplishes the same thing with extra steps, but I don't think he can "switch places" with people a la Law. My headcanon is that Van auger uses sight to teleport He can't warp anywhere he can't see with his eyes or observation haki And he can't warp anything other than himself that he isn't physically touching
One small detail I think we missed was Saturn knowing about Catarina. Sure she was a level 6 prisoner that history has erased from the books but the fact her recognised and addressed only her and not Augur may show she might be more dangerous than we thought.

Considering that they are OG early crewmates and talked a lot between themselves over the crossroads of fate, I wouldn't be surprised if Blackbeard himself implied to Van Augur that he feels destined to have a showdown with Luffy, giving him the greenlight to assist them in that crucial moment.

i think that the obvious parallel set between the strawhats and Blackbeard pirates wont actually go though because Blackbeard takes notes of his opponent's powers and will set his crews' 1v1 with someone they would have a straight advantage against for example usopp vs burgess or sanji and Catarina or doc q as a woman which i also think is a lot more "oda" of a thing to write
the obvious counter for this is to the strawhats not to needlessly split up into 1v1s and cover their friends if they're being deliberately targeted for a bad matchup

I think one of the best things they could do for Zoro here is reveal that he's pulling a Luffy so to speak and is using his fight against Lucci to train himself, since Zoro hasn't been shown to be able to use Advanced conquerors haki willingly yet so is using this fight as a way to try and get a handle of it, so picturing Jimbei turning up being like "Zoro what are you doing?! we have to go now!" Lucci preparing himself for this to suddenly turn into a 2 V 1 just for suddenly Zoro to blitz him and one shot him with advanced conquerors haki, prob have some cool new attack name and all then Zoro walking up to Jimbei and just being like "I had to get a handle on something real quick, im finished now go so lets go!" which would hopefully pay off in Zoro using the same attack to hurt Saturn later.

My current running theory: Blackbeard's crew has 11 members counting Blackbeard, Luffy's has 10 members. It's almost a given that Luffy's crew gets 1 more member, and that member, I believe, will be Sabo. I know he's in the revolutionary army now, but it's possible that he decides to join Luffy when they next meet up for a lot of reasons that could be made (he's his childhood friend, Dragon would likely approve due to Luffy being his son, he fits the final needed fruit type in Logia because they already have a 2 zoans, 2 paramecia, and no logia users). Going over the potential matchups: Luffy vs Blackbeard (this is a given) Zoro vs Shiryu (Swordmaster second in commands) Sanji vs Burgess (Physical fighter second in commands) Usopp vs Van Augur (Sniper fight) Nami vs Lafitte (Battle of the navigators, plus flying type is weak to electric type) Chopper vs Doc Q (Doc vs Doc) Franky vs Vasco Shot (Drunk on Cola vs Drunk on Alcohol) Jinbe vs Sanjuan Wolfe (The two biggest members) Robin vs Catarina Devon (Last two female members) This of course leaves Kuzan, the ice logia. Sabo vs Kuzan (Ice vs Fire) He also makes a lot more since thematically to join the Straw Hats than Caribou or Kizaru do. This last member will be an on-the-boat central member, and as such, it has to be someone who can already slot in to that life easily and get along with the crew going forward. This would be Sabo. Plus, it would easily lead up to a Sabo/Luffy fight against Akainu to avenge Ace.
If van augur can tp objects independent of himself than he could potentially snipe with scary accuracy by just aiming, shooting, than teleporting the bullet to wherever he's looking at as soon as it leaves the muzzle. And that's terrifying
besides other possibilites/problems, mimicking Saint saturn allows her to overrule seraphims out off admirals orders or even conflict orders with other elder stars.
I still find it interesting about the real implications of Devon copying Saturn. If she gets to Mariejoa, there is a chance that she will find out about Imu, and that knowledge coupled with the fact that they will more than likely take Caribou with them means that Teach will ACTUALLY have leverage on the world government. This leads to Teach either attempting to take the empty throne leading to Imu’s face reveal or it leads to a global revolt by the marines

Big Mom is the only character in one piece that ever scared me even a little, and she did it a lot, when she first spoke, her tone her cadence everything she said, she is a child with more power than Anyone and a devil fruit that can kill you the instant you have any fear for any reason, she can give life to anything she wants and give it a horrible disposition. She was actually terrifying and they turned her into a joke.

I think right now van augurs fruit sort of works like gokus instant transmission where he has to be touching things/people in order for them to move. This was shown on winner island when blackbeard was falling into the sea, van augur warped to him and then they both warped back to land. So it's unlikely he was the one to give luffy food
You have to remember that the marine Giants are all around 50, so they are teenagers compared to the giant warrior pirates who are currently in their prime.

I think one of the best things they could do for Zoro here is reveal that he's pulling a Luffy so to speak and is using his fight against Lucci to train himself, since Zoro hasn't been shown to be able to use Advanced conquerors haki willingly yet so is using this fight as a way to try and get a handle of it, so picturing Jimbei turning up being like "Zoro what are you doing?! we have to go now!" Lucci preparing himself for this to suddenly turn into a 2 V 1 just for suddenly Zoro to blitz him and one shot him with advanced conquerors haki, prob have some cool new attack name and all then Zoro walking up to Jimbei and just being like "I had to get a handle on something real quick, im finished now go so lets go!" which would hopefully pay off in Zoro using the same attack to hurt Saturn later.

I know he's in the revolutionary army now, but it's possible that he decides to join Luffy when they next meet up for a lot of reasons that could be made (he's his childhood friend, Dragon would likely approve due to Luffy being his son, he fits the final needed fruit type in Logia because they already have a 2 zoans, 2 paramecia, and no logia users).
Going over the potential matchups:
Luffy vs Blackbeard (this is a given)
Zoro vs Shiryu (Swordmaster second in commands)
Sanji vs Burgess (Physical fighter second in commands)
Usopp vs Van Augur (Sniper fight)
Nami vs Lafitte (Battle of the navigators, plus flying type is weak to electric type)

I think right now van augurs fruit sort of works like gokus instant transmission where he has to be touching things/people in order for them to move. This was shown on winner island when blackbeard was falling into the sea, van augur warped to him and then they both warped back to land. So it's unlikely he was the one to give luffy food
You have to remember that the marine Giants are all around 50, so they are teenagers compared to the giant warrior pirates who are currently in their prime.
