You have a point on the "things should have been found underwater" part. I actually had to look in the manga real quick for some clues. First, I thought of Cricket, and he dove down to find The City of Gold, but I couldn't find the exact depths he went. Then I thought of the Shark Sub Franky built, and it goes down to 5,000 meters, and 200 seems like they'd hit something, let alone the bottom of the sea floor. Maybe a translation error? I can see the underwater ruins not being frequently discovered as when you think of it, the sea levels rising that much meant the ancient world took 200 shots (either all on one side or going back and forth), each effectively erasing an island sized chunk out of it, and everything that didn't get hit directly took 200 earthquakes and tidal waves, leaving probably not much left standing, and that's not factoring in all the damage caused by conventional war. Additionally, the ruins left most intact could've become nesting grounds for the sea kings, which would also keep most divers and fishmen away.
dont forget that there are way too many seabeast living in the seafloor (look at jinbe cover story, just one ruin have like 6-7 seabeast living in there), it makes it even harder to do research in the sea. its not like people even know there is something in the sea in the first place

Isn't there a big plot hole here? It is called the 100 year void/Void Century, implying there is history before that point that the people in One Piece knows, but how do they know? Almost the entire world sank, wouldn't that have erased all of history, and not just 100 years?
Well only a fraction of kimgdoms have history from beyond the void century not every village or kingdom was around and even if some were how many fell or rise? Also gotta think how many tells of their history was passed down but eventually turned to myth and even some myths become forgotten
The fluidity of chapter while breezing through different parts of One Piece world is great. Yes reading this one after multiple breaks definitely a bit of connecting dots may be how Vegapunk is trying to do ha ha.
Upon reading this chapter, I couldn't help but think the red line might've been artificially heightened in preparation for second round of massive sea level rise... Though I really can't defend that idea, it just popped into my head
Sakazuki's fruit cooperating with Kuzan's could create massive amounts of homogenous rock... And it makes sense for the World Governament to keep those fruits close to them.
Or maybe it's pieces of the land mass of all the islands/continents around the world collected there. Which shunk the islands while increasing the height/volume of the redline.
That probably is the cause of the flood... maybe Uranus didn't destroy islands like Lulucia, but transported them to somewhere along the red line, making the sea level rise (it would have to transport under the sea so the volume of the surface could add to rise the sea level, but I don't think Oda is super preoccupied with physics..)
@@Baddaby In my defense, a giant line of land going around the entire globe is a very unnatural land formation. This idea would explain the height and unnatural shape of it. Though on the hand, I guess nothing about One Piece's geography is all that natural xD
I don't know why people don't notice this plot hole but the "100 year void century" would imply that people know about the history of before the void century which would imply that people also know about the existence of ancient kingdom because it has to exist for a noticable amount of time before the the 20 kingdoms can start a century long conflict with it.
Rising tides usually correlates with the moons position towards the planet, meaning the ancient weapon probably is located in the moon or Imu can control planetary or lunar movement MEANING RETURN OF THE COMEBACK FOR OUR BOY ENEL!!!
Just a thought on why no one has discovered the underwater ruins of previous civilizations (aside from Jinbe): Most real-world civilizations are built near the coast (with major rivers being a distant second). Elevations of 200 meters above sea level are typically at least a few miles inland. Second, the technological gap between the Ancient Kingdom and the 20 Kingdoms sounds quite vast. I would imagine this also applies to architecture. Since the Ancient Kingdom has not been revealed, I would imagine the submerged architecture was not hundreds of meters tall. In short, I imagine most underwater ruins to be located by ancient coasts whereas most modern settlements are located several miles further inland. Additionally, most ruins would not be as large and grand as those depicted in chapter 1115. In other words, to find these ruins, people would have to search 200 meters below the surface miles away from shore and hope to find generally small settlements and structures. Aside from the fishmen, Law’s submarine, coated ships, and maybe the salvage brothers off Jaya, the infrastructure to do this seems lacking. Fishmen don’t generally share information with most humans and the other options seem less consistent.
The story of joyboy seems pretty similar to the dasharajnya war. It was a war where 10 different Kings United to defeat one King named Sudas. Just the difference is that Joyboy lost but Sudas had won the war.
2 things: Joy Boy definitely doesn't look like a giant in that silhouette shot, although it could be a perspective thing. And the weapons creation was bound to be a disaster. As a quote I've stumbled upon on the internet says: "a weapon built to end war is always a weapon built to continue war". But overall, despite being huge lore dumps, these last few chapters have managed to be really exciting. I'm always at the edge of my seat while reading them, even though there isn't much focus on the action. Amazing work by Oda as almost always
I think water 7 is a part of the ancient kingdom. I think it was either Tom or iceberg that mentioned the ancient weapon pluton was maid by the shipwrights at water 7. Water 7 arc you see the water pull back during the storm to reveal the old city.
I think we're forgetting the 200 meter rise was during the void century. Vegapunk hasn't revealed how much the sea levels have risen in the past 800 years. Jaya clearly showed that sea levels didn't remain stagnant over just the past 400 years. Noland also suggested the idea of islands sinking wasn't unthinkable either.
The panel with Carrot dead center...gave me some serious flashbacks to when Pedro last talked to her...because she is witnessing his belief in the Strawhats unfold from a distance and knows for certain, Pedro didn't die in vain.
you didn't mention it is now canon that the 5 elders can hear the voices of all things, a feet only known by the rogger pirates. Seems like they'r haki is on another level
Liam forgot one part of why people didn't discover the old world even though the water just rose for 200 meters, the waters of the One Piece world is teeeming with dangers. Even for fishmen and merfolks would need a considerable effort to discover and make a conclusion of a lost world beneath the waters while traveling and living in these waters full of sea beasts and sea kings
My favorite part of this chapter that you missed here was checking back in on Whisky Peak, where we see some ex baroque works members, presumably Miss Golden Week, Miss Merry Christmas, and Miss Valentine
One of my first questions was why wouldn't the WG want to bring the fishman up to the surface world. One day a fishman is going to stumble on some ruins. I bet you it's happened before then whispers on fishman island about a huge underwater city reach the gorsei and then that fishman dissappear a day or 2 later
What makes us so certain that the Ancient Weapons were originally planned to be weapons? Think about it, if the world was less oceanic when Posieden was created, it would hardly count as a weapon. Inversely, Pluton is a massive ship, an object regularly seen in Great Flood myths.
Pluton wasn't just a ship but a battleship that can destroy an entire island with a single blast. Unless there is some twist towards what pluton actually is it was definetly a weapon
The Revelations in the latest Chapter somehow seems to really point towards the Theory/Idea that Laugh Tale sunk and is, in Fact, hidden either somewhere on the Ocean Floor (underneath Enies Lobby?) or hidden deep under if not within the Reverse Mountain (where the X marks the Spot)..Only accessible via the Opposite of the "Knock-Up-Stream" to reach Sky Islands, being a "Knock-Down-Stream", which may only occor at a special given Time or via special Requirements / Setup, which is inclined through the Road Poneglyphs.

I was re-watching Marine Ford arc recently and I was struck by something Dolflamingo said "Justice is going to be served regardless who wins, because the victor gets to define what Justice means"
I really cant hold myself from smirking when you talk about Uranus with a straight face like that..."What Nimu used to destroy Lulusia...was Uranus" There is no world where I could say that without smiling.
The 200m rise might explain why the Shandrians have wings, like lunarians and other skyfolk, as Shandora used to be at least 200meters higher than the rest of the islands as it was not sank when it was displaced by knock up stream. Who knows, maybe they are all originated from the same tribe together with the skypians, that would be somewhat of a twist, finding out that they were fighting against each other as enemies for the others' land while they are 1 tribe with the same homeland.
i think you forgot that people in one piece can live upto 150 years, 150 in one piece is like the 100 in our world, so joyboy can still be a human and live for like 130 years
Very minor, but someone in Drum Island said that the 200 meter rise was about as tall as "that mountain over there". Quite fascinating if that is in fact the mountain that Luffy climbed in winter weather while carrying two people.
how is it a "void centruy" at this point. void centruy implies that history is know before and after that century but not in the middle of it. Wouldn't it be known then that there used to be continents. seems to me like its just a cutoff of history
HANUMAN JI actually ate the sun and then attacked by god of lightning Indra by his weapon "Vajra" after being hurt by vajra he gained so many unimaginable powers from all other gods
From the silhouettes, I can't tell if joyboy is facing or leading the 20 kings. Probably unlikely that he was one of them and there's probably a panel to debunk it, but that would be such a twist 😂
A thing i noticed is that within those 100 years the sea level rose by 200m, but how much has it risen on the following 800 years hasn't been stated. So the ruins are at least 201 meters but it could be more.
sanji is the man who can be good at a single panel and his fanbase will praise him like nobody could ever do what he could🤦 then oda will destroy their hopes right after.😭😭 it's really hard to be a sanji fan that even franky is his competition.
Considering the reactions of the rank and file Marine soldiers, I think we’ve just seen the beginning of the long-expected schism/rebellion in the Marines.
While at close range the island cut was like Mihawk's during Marineford with the way they dodged, I feel like the actual island cut when zoomed out looked more like Law's on Punk Hazard which also then has parallels being an earlier Vegapunk island, tech and all being cut with no resistance.
One thing to note about Vegapunk's morality positioning is that MOST pirates are NOT like the Strawhats. They are pillagers, stripping wherever they can of resources and even straight up murdering civilians. They are not intrinsically a force of good.
The way you handle your videos plus the add on of the goofy drawings is much appreciated too many one piece channels on here, you can tell most of them just jumped the bandwagon I don’t even look forward to the reverie anymore cause there so many people in there talking bullshit

@@Rubed0_oYamato has white hair and could probably use foxfire technique so does that mean she is a lunarian
@@wenenwo5341
Her hair isn't entirely white, unlike the Seraphim though. So she's unlikely to have a connection to the Lunarians.
Dawn Dusk’s old continent theory was right.. 🤯
Isn't there a big plot hole here? It is called the 100 year void/Void Century, implying there is history before that point that the people in One Piece knows, but how do they know? Almost the entire world sank, wouldn't that have erased all of history, and not just 100 years?
Yeah there’s a huge difference between history starting 800 years ago and a 100 year gap in history
Ah yes, much more plausible than them just choosing to live someplace high
This fandom is insane lmao

Just a thought on why no one has discovered the underwater ruins of previous civilizations (aside from Jinbe):
Most real-world civilizations are built near the coast (with major rivers being a distant second).
Fishmen don’t generally share information with most humans and the other options seem less consistent.
and seakings. I have the impression the seakings are guarding the ruins of the ancient civilization...

You said that Joy Boy couldn't live for a century long, but the average one piece life-span is 140 years.
One piece arcs just keep getting better. The post-time skip one piece is just next level adventurous.
The more we see of Ethan's power, the more impressive it is that Sanji deflected his blade and kicked him in the jaw.
Strong Work! You definitely got me with that ad placement lead-in with Admiral Akainu 😂😂😂
The story of joyboy seems pretty similar to the dasharajnya war. It was a war where 10 different Kings United to defeat one King named Sudas. Just the difference is that Joyboy lost but Sudas had won the war.
2 things:
Joy Boy definitely doesn't look like a giant in that silhouette shot, although it could be a perspective thing.
If Blackbeard is listening to this Vega punk's message then caribou's stocks 📈
The panel with Carrot dead center...gave me some serious flashbacks to when Pedro last talked to her...because she is witnessing his belief in the Strawhats unfold from a distance and knows for certain, Pedro didn't die in vain.
you didn't mention it is now canon that the 5 elders can hear the voices of all things, a feet only known by the rogger pirates. Seems like they'r haki is on another level
Luffy and Momonosuke also hear the voices of all things. and Kobe, I think. and that little girl in Skypea...
@@PROPAROXITONO true but they can use it activly when they decide to use it
@@tobiasrheker5738 that makes sense...
Roger's plan of turning the world upside down seems like a necessity in these times😂
My favorite part of this chapter that you missed here was checking back in on Whisky Peak, where we see some ex baroque works members, presumably Miss Golden Week, Miss Merry Christmas, and Miss Valentine
joy boy may have been born at the start of the void century as the humans in one piece have lifespan twice of that in the real world
All I could think of is carabou about to meet Blackbeard with info on two ancient weapons
One of my first questions was why wouldn't the WG want to bring the fishman up to the surface world. One day a fishman is going to stumble on some ruins. I bet you it's happened before then whispers on fishman island about a huge underwater city reach the gorsei and then that fishman dissappear a day or 2 later
G4 is the base that got shattered by clown impersonators before their water boy got kidnapped
Why are those fake straw hats (now fake kid pirates) imprisoned at a Marine base, and not Impel Down?! 🤔
This explain how impel down was constructed. perhaps it was a big watch tower that was repurposed to a prison
When Nasjuro cuts the labophase, we can actually see the Sunny on the left side, it looks safe
Yes! More One Piece content has been directly injected into my life,ty Sir. ❤ Much love, also from Oz 😂
This means that the tree of knowledge in Ohara was more than 200 meters tall.
Or the Adam tree on Elbaf, not to mention Sunlight Tree Eve.
No, it means it was planted on soil that was over 200 meters above sea level, at that time.
@@Elidan1012im pretty sure the tree of knowledge on ohara was said to be 5000 years old. If thats the case then the tree would be way more than 200 meters at this point
@@Kona1227 that literally does not matter. If I plant a tree on a 300 meter tall hill, that tree is not suddenly 300+ meters tall. You don't meassure from sea level.
was it just me or was the artwork in every panel utterly phenomenal this chapter??
8:17 that's why VEGAPUNK is GENIUS🔥
What if the grand line is above a mountain range which could explain all the different weather patterns for each island
At this point it's pretty clear where the broadcast is coming from.........underwater
The ancient weapon raises the sea level by destroying land. So there probably aren’t too many ruins to find
This chapter feels so cinematic!! 1115
I was re-watching Marine Ford arc recently and I was struck by something Dolflamingo said "Justice is going to be served regardless who wins, because the victor gets to define what Justice means"
Interesting perspective, got me thinking!
I really cant hold myself from smirking when you talk about Uranus with a straight face like that..."What Nimu used to destroy Lulusia...was Uranus" There is no world where I could say that without smiling.
thanks for sharing, you inspired me to try something new
The 200m rise might explain why the Shandrians have wings, like lunarians and other skyfolk, as Shandora used to be at least 200meters higher than the rest of the islands as it was not sank when it was displaced by knock up stream. Who knows, maybe they are all originated from the same tribe together with the skypians, that would be somewhat of a twist, finding out that they were fighting against each other as enemies for the others' land while they are 1 tribe with the same homeland.
Balls
Apparently this is the first comment. Fantastic.
i think you forgot that people in one piece can live upto 150 years, 150 in one piece is like the 100 in our world, so joyboy can still be a human and live for like 130 years
and the bukanears (or whatever is the way to write it)
Very minor, but someone in Drum Island said that the 200 meter rise was about as tall as "that mountain over there". Quite fascinating if that is in fact the mountain that Luffy climbed in winter weather while carrying two people.
The question is why Joy Boy became a pirate in the first place.
how is it a "void centruy" at this point. void centruy implies that history is know before and after that century but not in the middle of it.
Seeing hyori on the cover was a perfect choice. Spitting image of her mother, who jumped centuries into the future to escape the flood! perfect.
Laughed out loud at: “Saturn up in the somewhere hitting computers with a stick”
sanji is the man who can be good at a single panel and his fanbase will praise him like nobody could ever do what he could🤦 then oda will destroy their hopes right after.😭😭 it's really hard to be a sanji fan that even franky is his competition.
That means that the red line was a huge wall around the world
I like the fact that we see not only the normal places whenever something happens, ut we see all different groups we have interacted with before.
14:30 Don't forget how old Kureha is, and I believe Oda has said Human's can live up to 140 years in this world.
I feel like Uranus used to be a weather station that was converted to a weapon during the void century.
Oda is taking advantage of vegapunks global message to show old fan favorite one piece characters wich iam enjoying every single moment of it
