Possibility that Caterina touched Luffy worries me more. I like Luffy’s rep, would suck for it to be ruined. Although I’m sure Oda would be it great with his story telling. Would be interesting to see Luffy face himself. Wonder if her copy fruit enables her the same ability as the one she copies? And if so, would it be on the same level(advanced or awakened) or would she have to learn the new ability? Although if the 2 devil fruit thing is true, maybe it wouldn’t be possible. I’m probably overthinking. I’m trying to think of the perks that this fruit has over Bon Clay’s. Mythical’s are normally overpowered. Someone help me out here..

The face Kizaru made was especially great because it was from Kizaru. The man who trolled Beckman and never gave a shit about anything. But Sanji suddenly being able to block his attack, when he couldn't do it before just gave him the same feeling Enel had when Luffy wasn't affected by his powers.
The highlight this chapter for me is Bonney telling Luffy she’s being waiting him (aka Nika) for years and Luffy goes “What’s a Nika?”

@@Vashtiian Just skimmed through the Sabaody chapters from the introduction of the Supernovas to Luffy punching the Celestial Dragon and Bonnie did not see Luffy. And what happens after the punch was on the next volume, but I do remember that afterwards only Kid and Law saw Luffy. Everyone else was already escaping.
This is the third Celestial Dragon Luffy has punched and is going to proceed to get away with. I love it.

Thinking about Bartolomeo and Van Augur in this chapter made me realise how much of a hard counter Van augurs teleporting would be against Barto. Unless he can barrier close enough to be armor and can move it with his body movements, but tbh if he could do that he'd be OP as fuck given that even haki on Odens level couldn't break the barriers.
That last line sent chills down my back about Devon. I never thought about that idea of Devon taking Luffy's identity until you placed it into my Mind-Brain. Fishman island would be doomed if that were to happen.

I think what impresed Kizaru was not than his attack was blocked, since even the dark king has done it. What impresed him was than Sanji reflected his attack
I don't think St. Saturn was the BB Pirates target originally, at least not on Egghead. Devon states "To think an Elder would come down to the surface and bless us with his presence. It's unheard of...""But it sure made our job a helluva lot easier." Which leads me to wonder if someone else like Vegapunk or Kizaru were the initial target, perhaps as a way to control the Seraphim or to even get close to one of the 5 Elders later to take their appearance.

Saturns seems to be set up as a weird tank, where no matter how hard you hit him, he just comes back like it was nothing
At this rate I think Garcia is gonna end up like Jack. His introduction was full of hype, he does almost nothing but get beat up. And then the remaining Elders(or All Stars in Jack’s case) are the ones that get all the competent moments.

I saw this as the beginning of Zoro and Sanji's Final Character Arc. Sanji owning up to his enhancement that he hate so much so that he can be useful and protect the people he care about and Zoro's confidence in his path to be the Strongest Swordsman and his position in the crew
I think BB is not so much a good tactician but a good opportunist. It's like Luffy. He doesn't plan for these things, they just fall into his lap and he uses them. I think the BB pirates were sent for other reasons and Saturn was just added on. Saturn wasn't even going to come on the island until Kizaru failed. It's more of an opportunity than something that was planned for.

Devon's dialogue makes it clear she was surprised by Saturn's presence, but that him being there made their mission much easier. Most likely, her mission was to gain the ability to copy a high-level authority in the World Government. Be it for commanding Pacifista, because there's some super-secure facility that Blackbeard needs to get access to, or both. Most likely, what the Blackbeard Pirates knew was that an Admiral was headed to Egghead. So Devon was supposed to copy Kizaru and probably also Vegapunk. But then she saw Saturn, and is like "that's *so* much better" and copies him instead.
I find it interesting how all of the Seraphim of Warlords friendly to the crew (S-Snake, S-Bear, S-Shark and S-Hawk) are on Egghead while those of Warlords hostile to the crew (S-Crocodile, S-Bar and S-Flamingo) are elsewhere, just waiting for BB to pick them up by having Devon impersonate Saturn

Kizaru’s face was hilarious and I think it’s the most emotion I’ve ever seen him show and the fact that it was Sanji that did it is crazy. It seems like Blackbeard’s plan whatever it is coming together but I’m sure whatever Buggy has planned will surprise everyone.

I would assume sanji's genetics are coming into play here. The raid suits act as add-ons (power enhancers if you will) for the Germa siblings. For instance when reiju puts on her raid suit she grows poison wings and can spray poison but we also see that she's able to suck out poison from Luffy. I doubt putting on a suit can change ones built in biology to do that so it must be something she can naturally do because of her body mods. This may also be the case with sanji. When sanji had a raid suit he was able to manipulate light to turn himself invisible and create force fields out of light as well. So I would assume without the suit because of his mods he can at the very least interact with light (similar to vegapunks light gloves) when the mods are active.

4 guesses for Sanjis laser kick
1. The laser is a df power so haki
2. Judge has the same light touching technology that he used on his kids
3. The boots he's wearing has that technology
4. Luffys powers turned the light into rubber, allowing Sanji to kick it
The boots don't have that power the gloves do they just float.
Luffy got hit by the same attack Sanji blocked but Luffy swallowed it and took some damage. If he could turn it into rubber with Sanji why didn't he do it for himself.
My theory is that he's just able to kick at the same speed or faster than kizarus light and so can interact with it.
Because Kizaru can kick people back I have to assume his light has some mass unlike actual light which also explains why even though himself and his attacks move insanely fast its not as fast as real world light-speed.

Something else that occurs, we assumed Van Augur couldn't be there because he was already accounted for. But what is the range of the Warp Warp fruit? Maybe *much* farther than we thought.
But if he was that busted they would have teleported from the island right away instead of a few meters
The range doesn't need to be that huge.
Because he's able to warp to some arbitrary point in mid-air, and then warp again from there.
In other words, he can just keep warping over and over to effectively fly. Presumeably even from island to island, and even with people in tow.

I think that the issue about Sanji blocking the laser is because
1- is a laser, it's at the speed of light
2- is light, it shouldn't be destroyed or deflected by kicking
It's interesting how Saturn remarks on Blackbeard's lineage in this chapter. Originally I thought Blackbeard might be a buccaneer, and that Saturn just hadn't realized it yet. But now that we know Saturn believes Kuma is the last Buccaneer, and happens to know about Teech's odd lineage, I'd say chances of them being connected are low.
Zoro went from injuring kaidou in one hit to doing nothing to lucci and kaku in 20 chapters
Zoro is an afterthought in this chapter. I wont be surprised Sanji's bounty goes above his again since hes been doing WAY more in this chapter

Zoro paper cut Kaido with Law's teleportation help, and Kaido didn't even fall while Zoro was done without even Kaido doing anything.

My guess about Blackbeards lineage is he's Rocks' son, and also a Buccaneer for good measure. There was a famous Buccaneer called Pierre Le Grande which would roughly translate to "The great Rock".

The implications of Catarina Devon and what she’s acquired her are crazy.
I want to know what they have planned with that.
When I saw Catarina Devon’s first panel, I genuinely thought Saturn had landed in a basement where Vegapunk was storing clones of the Four Emperors that were even more experimental than the Seraphim because she looked so much like Big Mom.
So caribou being alive serves one purpose getting to teach and revealing information on the ancient weapons
9:12 im gonna assume why they're surprised when they witnessed Sanji blocking a laser, is that lasers are blindingly fast attacks considering they are light based. We are so used to modern media depicting laser shots to be a bit slower so that we can perceive its trajectory, so that they dont feel like a big deal when deflected. This scene further supports the statement that Sanji is indeed the strawhat known for speed, and his germa lineage as seen from his battle with Queen helps him improve his reaction speed to laser point accuracy

Lasers are also the strongest "conventional" weapon (this means to exclude stuff like Seraphim, Momo's fruit and Shunokuni) showcased in One Piece thus far. Pacifistas wreck shit with lasers, Franky either ends fights or inflicts massive damage with Radical Beam and Kizaru destroys everything in his path. Up till now pretty much nobody straight up blocked a laser.

Perhaps : Saturn seeming underwhelming is because he may not have fought in like 50 - 200 years, and needs a warm up. He knows he is strong enough to tank, but is a bit rusty since he hasn't fought. Anyone (except my duo) who plays sports and video games knows that you need a good warmup in casual before you do ranked after a long time.

Im currently theorizing that It could be that blackbeard is from a group of people on a winter island that feared death so much they lost the ability to sleep and its embedded in their DNA, and that eating multiple devil fruits can only kill you once you fall asleep. BB knowing this set out to get the yami yami as the yami yami fruit may be the only fruit that combined with his dna of not sleeping nullifies devil fruits as the devil fruits are derived from dreams.
It could also explain why the yami yami fruit wasnt seen as a threat and was still in the devil fruit encyclopedia as nobody has figured out that combo of not sleeping to counter dream based powers making the yami fruit broken.
I feel like the Sanji laser kick is a callback to the beginning of Egghead when they couldn't touch the holograms, but Atlas could hit them with special gloves, and they wondered how you could phyisically hit light? Lasers are made of light after all.

My head cannon was always that marijouis (don’t know how to spell it) was always right above fish man island on the diameter where the red line and grand line intersect, in the middle would ideally be the one piece somehow and luffy would indeed destroy the entire perimeter, destroying fish man island yet liberating the fish men who would then live amongst the humans having no where else to go, this would’ve explained how it was so easy for fisher tiger to invade marijouis as well, and upon destroying the barriers separating the seas the would coincidentally be amongst the all blue

If there is a bounty increase after this arc I can see Sanji passing Zoro and Jinbe. Unless something happens it will be a case of Zoro and Jinbe bearly being present while Sanji has attacked an Elder Star and fought an Admiral. I am not getting into the Zoro vs Sanji argument becasue I think it's stupid, but Oda might have done this intentionally for the reason of bounties
