The Iron Giant powering up feels like the embodiment of that Tiktok trend that's been going around, where Person A needs something from Person B, but every time the camera pans back to Person B they're still just as far away as they were before.
One thing I have to say about the five elders though, is that I reaaly do not feel that overwelhming sense of power and dread that we usually get from one piece antagonists, especially post wano. Yes we cannot beat them right now, but the thing is that it's only due to their regeneration, the moment we find out how to go through this, they are toast. We have seen them being skewered, mangled, torn appart and literally sliced to bits, meanwhile they have yet to land a SINGLE attack on anyone actively trying to defend themselves. Compare that to Big Mom and Kaido that had a similar "invincibility" feature with their tough skin, when we finally learned how to pass through this, it was still an absolut slog to beat them, because they were so durable, but the elders, one of them was skewered by franky. And a lot of their attacks, while the would floor 99percent of characters in the serie, are just not effective because we are now in the 1 percent. They haven't landed a single thing on luffy (in fact I think the most damage he took was from himslef punching that boar), they even got parried pretty effortlessly by the giants, the most damage we have seen them doing against a character is Vegapunk, who is quite literrally a brainless old man..
Why does everyone forget that the primary food source for fish are other fish? Why would Jimbei care about seeing a fish or any other form of sea life being eaten?
The purpose of basic armament haki is to make anything you're using to attack as hard and tough as metal, but Franky is made of metal, so he doesn't need basic haki in a FIST fight against another haki user who isn't logia user. And NO ONE shall question franky's physical prowess, even before time skip, this cyborg was evenly matched withluffy in water 7, and luffy had already shown crazy strength feats until that point in the story. And after time skip, no matter how visually displeasing Franky's body jave become for many people (personally, i am a fan of his new design, especially with his old hairstyle), but it is a HUGE upgrade in terms of physical capabilities, not only he became a battleship in his own, he is also a machine capable of showcasing beyond superhuman strength.
the fact that Franky doesn't have haki right now only elevate his potential when he does. Franky didn't just beat red king, he shattered red king's arm. The same arm that was busting up vegapunk's sea beast that defended egghead.
Frankie is made of literal metal though. Haki requires concentration and all that. But fighting Frankie is like getting into a fight with a Ford F-250 going 50mph at you. Like even if you have Haki, you’re not walking out without some injuries. Road rash or somethin
Dude Franky was always strong enough to have solo fight and taking down big guys in every arc. I don't know why youtubers like you made him underrated.
Something that I haven’t heard people really talk about is that, even if the timer is only at a minute left, the elders would need to be held off until the message finishes. They aren’t likely to just sit back and let it play, they’ll try to stop it playing fully if they can’t stop it starting
I think the entire logic of “Haki user auto wins vs non-Haki user” just doesn’t imply when there’s just a huge difference in strength. Franky is just THAT tough. And so is the Shogun bot. Because honestly, Haki wasn’t going to help Sasaki in that matchup, and neither is it helping Red King
Okay can we talk about how Luffy hasn't hit anyone with Conqueror's Haki this whole arc? You'd think he would use it against one of the elders at least. I'm hoping to see it next chapter with a reattack
He just threw did a red rock that left the boar gorosei unaffected so I think that will be a signal for luffy to use advanced conqueror's to overcome his tough skin just like he did to kaido, also an opportunity for a conqueror's clash since the boar guy also let out a conqueror roar previously
@@jimtsap04 I really hope so. If he was landing CH strikes with Lucci and Kizaru it could have had a major impact and it's irking me that he's not doing that.
one thing you gotta remember is that the gum gum fruit makes you immune to all blunt force trauma just straight up, so luffy being hurt from the recoil of hitting the boar guy is actually a pretty big red flag.
The Sanji-Ending-Chapters in wholecake Island are both, a pause for not needing a new cliffhanger but also showing the Will of Baratié, Sanji and Zeff, where they feed whomever is hungry, even if they tell them they'll attack him afterwards. First feed, afterwards fight. That's what it highlights by ending both chapters the same way :)
The whole panel in which york forms a triangle screams sus. Her speaking about sins and stressed relations emphasises heavily on that. And were stussys eyes always like that? My first idea was she might be the transponder right now. The last panel: old man is not amused at all. But neither surprised, nor in fear or anything else. More like he sees something in what he realises that they take a L Everything is perfectly set up to be bothered by some big reveal: 1min left, all matchups facing each other, the giant have been seen approaching last chapter, so if he still moves even though G5 is gone, he should be there now. My idea is, what ever is up there on the top will be a decoy for the last seconds until the broadcasting starts, what will force the elders to decide to eradicate the island and let off the strawhats and the giant will send the sunny flying to help them escape. But Oda will probably do something absolutely crazy no one thought off.
With the crazy setups that have been going on in 1112, what really intrigued me was when York said that she doesn’t want to rack up any more “sins” and the VPs relationships with each other were troublesome enough. I wonder if something happened in the past that soured their relationship and, as a result, had to pay penance for it.
The five elders and the heavenly Dragons are considered gods so acting against them would be considered a sin so the sins talked about in this chapter were probably all the things vp did against the world government's leaders
I'm wondering if it's more of a failsafe system Stella implemented to prevent any satellites from rebelling and if York commits too many "sins" she'll automatically shut down or something
vice admirals are basically like avatars of khaine from warhammer...super strong beings that are just there to show how strong somebody is when they easily defeat them
I have two things to say: 1, What are the chances Vegapunk's message is coded in the talk about coffee? 2, What would Geko Moria be able to do with the shadows of the 5 Elders, or someone like Imu for that matter?
I agree about the elders, they seem to have been underestimated because it was gear 5 they were fighting but now we see Warcury compared to an attack that does not ignore basic logic and he's bonkers.
Oda showed us a long time ago that you dont need Haki to beat someone who has it. Idk why its a problem for someone as strong as franky to do what he does
@@gabrielgoes0 I guess Luffy Gear 2 against the Boa sisters and technically Enel's priests in Skypiea with Observation Haki. Hordy Jones ODing on energy steroids almost brought Luffy down, he did need a blood transfusion afterwards.
@@anglosaxiphone8246 Probably is the best we'll get, but we don't know nor can we prove it. Tekkai while having similar effects still isn't Haki. It's just raw physical defense up.
Speaking of Usopp against Saturn; what if his attacks are most efficient against the five elders? Vegas punk did mentioned that devil fruits weakness is the mother nature and Usopps attacks are all plants. Feel like it's gonna be like Obito against sage mode
They shouldn't have problems anyway considering the fish they're based off of are predators. And in Hatchi's case some octopi are known for eating other octopi
Marcus is probably looking at what is the brain of Vegapunk. The room was so hollow besides the den den mushi. After cutting down a giant, i would love to see venus get attacked by the Iron Giant. But now that Luffy is bot longer in G5, does that mean the giant has stopped moving again?
Something interesting to note is the way Luffy hurt his hand when he hit Warcury made it look like the time his Haki was being overtaxed by clashing with Katakuri's higher level of armament in Wholecake. It's hard to say if it's the same thing exactly, but it is horrifying if the Gorosei can create Armament Haki defenses so strong it mimics porcupine spines and hurt the attacker and that only higher levels of Haki can bypass the damage return.
The chronic lack of Haki amongst the crews actual fighters is really weird, yeah. Franky, Brook and Robin all should be capable of basic Armament by this point and I'm not sure what Oda is holding out on it for. At this point I wonder if they'll ever get it.
honestly my headcannon is easily that alot of characters do have haki even though we aren't specifically told / shown that they have haki, sorta like how we didn't see that lucci have haki because oda didn't show us specifically it's like oda favours a diverse crew more and he'd rather focus more on the unique powers of his crew, franky has his robots / cyborg powers, robin recently got her demonic upgrade and adding haki to these things would maybe muddy the whole conversation behind it more and devolve it from people talking about robins unique power to a conversation around "hakilevels" it's like you can't get away with not giving luffy and zoro haki and you can't get away with not giving sanji haki because he's portrayed as a rival to zoro because it literally does not make sense that the most observant women who lived 2 entire decades being constantly hunted while being successful in evading them somehow never developped obsrervation haki it just doesn't make any sense even if we consider a possibility where maybe her having her devilfruit would have limited her observation haki development because she didn't need to learn it if her devilfruit was already doing that same job kinda
So, as far as Franky vs Haki goes, I think it is more franky's strong arm has more damage behind it than what the vice admiral's can simply block with armoring Haki
I'll be honest: I've been reading One Piece since 2002, first in the shonen jump print magazine and then in the volumes. When digital options for weekly became available for purchase, i still waited for the volumes. When the free app came out, i still waited. Right up until i decided to take the plunge and catch up to Egghead after Wano so i could watch fun yiutube theory videos and finally be part of the discussions... and the tldr is as this is my second weekly chapter ever im so dang hyped to be here the gisbt thing didnt bother me at all ha ha. Thanks for the fun breakdown and theories video.
I will say even tho it would be great for ussop to have his grand brave moment here, it would also be a great spot to have him have one horrible last moment of cowardice that either almost or does end in some sort of disaster or someone he cares about getting hurt, then the shame of that and wanting to get better is what steels him for the journey to understanding true bravery he could have on elbaf, maybe mentored in bravery and what it is by both elbafs culture overall in which courage is seen as basically the ultimate thing to aspire to, and or by one of the giants he already looks up to or by a new giant. Bc ultimately bravery and courage isn’t not being afraid of something, it’s being scared stiff but still choosing to push forward anyway, and im not sure ussop quite fully understands that entire concept yet. What do y’all think of this?
Also, my interpretation of where the ancient robot was at the end of 1111 mirrors the idea of this being a setting chapter as was discussed, so it’s not unreasonable to think that the giant awakening is taking place at the same time as everything else and is just split between 1111 and 1112
It's probably that the metal Franky upgraded himself and his shogun with is strong enough to stand up to some base haki users. And his Radical Beam is basically Kizaru's light beam attack, and that's what he used to finish of Sasaki, as well as damage Saturn.
I love how oda is keeping us to our toes in each chapter ending, you say oh they are gonna get it now but suddenly something happens that saves their butts, something you cannot expect at all!
I have a different interpretation to the little skit after he hit big boar guy. Now that lufy fully manifested the toon force in g5 he is suddenly aware that it is not normal for your giant punch to catch on fire when you are in base form. He looked like he was reacting to his hand being on fire. Lufy is just that dense, he just noticed.
You bring up excellent points as usual🙌.. But I still haven't gotten over why Robin left Stussy to die instead of leaving a duplicate of herself in her place.. or why Kuma didn't slap the old guy away from his daughter Bonnie instead of punching him..
I’ve seen theory’s about how luffy could turn other people into a sun god nika form but none about how Bonneys distorted future has the potential to do actually do so. her fruit is an upgraded version of ivankov!
The fermented shark is going to be the Senzu bean of One Piece, which is a dangerous gimmick to introduce as it messes with the tension fatigue and injuries introduce into fights.
the idea of Usopp repeating the God Usopp incident and getting recognized as the most dangerous in the group for incidentally defeating an elder is JUST PERFECT
Man, I am glad to be back. Kind of am wondering if Vegapunk left a guard or a security device with sentience in the room with the new Den Den Mushi. Maybe a living slime with the properties of the ocean is keeping the snail safe? Or maybe even Punk Records (aka Vegapunk's brain) is about to be shown?
For anyone wondering I looked it up on google and it says the taste of Hakari is described differently ranging from mild fish to strong blue cheese, but they all agree the aftertaste is that of urine.
Vice admirals have such a huge range of strength. On one end you have garp Who is not on the strongest vice admiral but possibly the Strongest Marine ever and then on the other end you have some vice admirals they get taken out with one shot by characters that don’t even have haki
It's all one big mcguffin. All Vegapunks have been in kahoots the entire time, and they included the Straw Hats during the night that they captured York. Only the most brilliant mind in the world could successfully double cross the 5 elders.
There's also the technology aspect of Franky's strength. Haki is just trying to imitate what metal can already do. It should be possible to use physics to overcome haki users if you use enough of it.

@@GrandLineReview hats of to you internet man
The thing Markus sees is likely the same thing Shaka saw on the surveillance screen
Thank you for the criticisms you’re giving. When I talk to my friends about one piece, 1 friend has basically no opinions, almost as if he doesn’t wanna impose his perspective on odas story too much and my other friend doesn’t s literally unable to criticize anything about one piece, if I find a legit criticism he can’t weasel around, he’ll just ignore my messages he’s one of those types that scream Goda, and feel Goda can do no wrong. He believes Goda is doing some kind of master next level 4d underwater chess story telling. And it’s just so nice to be able to watch someone else press the stuff I feel as well. I don’t feel crazy watching your vids lol
I for one, am tired of how One Piece keeps ending chapters on cliffhangers, with a 50/50 chance the cliffhangers will be completely ignored in the next chapter.
@@Kaisona2017 Same here honestly yeah I feel like there's art is kinda pointlessly stretching itself out too like the whole 10 minute time limit really has no reason to exist
And I feel like a lot of chapters do end with some exciting Cliff Hanger But then the chapter afterwards will both be just feller talking or other less interesting things that have nothing to do with the previous chapters Major cliffhanger Maybe coming back to it to do a page or two of the actual important stuff
Ways I feel like Ode's struggling with how bloated his story has became I remember being really annoyed in wano How throughout it that fights kept starting and then immediately ending with no conclusion no point to the fight Just that him did a fight that's to come later and these skirmishes happened well over a dozen times with nothing satisfying to him Because they're so short and pointless
only for when the fights actually did happen for most of those fights to be extremely rushed like King In his fight was very rushed in the manga or queen who basically got one shot in his fight after his opponents spent most of the fight just running away like a baby with really only kaido getting any sort of real fight
To truly be a fan of something you have to be able to criticize it, otherwise you're basically just a cultist
3:21 Love how Zoro got lost in the anime verse
Franky has Centaur mode, there should be a Centaur vs Centaur situation.
If in danger franky can just lay on his back and be invincible.
0:24 that animation did something to me...
The Iron Giant powering up feels like the embodiment of that Tiktok trend that's been going around, where Person A needs something from Person B, but every time the camera pans back to Person B they're still just as far away as they were before.
Mars is looking at Iron Giant shocked that Oda used Iron Giant indirectly to end the chapter once again😂
But why Iron Giant go "Bloop Bloop" ??
@@calliopeshif7581 bloop bloop 😈
As annoying as the Iron Giant tease has been it's still better than expecting Dragon to do anything.
Im more tired of luffy running out of energy from his newest gear forms its been happening since gear 2, iron giant is nothing compared to that.
No, Warcury roar of haki had hit Luffy and affected him.
@@lamontabenson4886 fair enough it did yes ! What I meant is rather an attack that’s not just an AOE thing

Next chapter has to be about God Ussop v Demon Saturn. Ussop unlocks Future Observation. I guarantee it, Internet Man😎
Nope
Yep
Addirional emergency food supplies 😂😂😂
Honestly, I think to a certain point Jinbe could be trusted to make the sacrifice. Like an arm or somethin, he's a ride or die
@SOULNIGGAGAMER haha ...I'm laughing but your pretty on point
1:07 it's the same for brook in my opinion. He should have manifested haki by now
Hes made of bones, i think he has none lol
I feel like it's so obvious that the snail that the elder finds isn’t the right one.
the fact that Franky doesn't have haki right now only elevate his potential when he does.
Franky didn't just beat red king, he shattered red king's arm. The same arm that was busting up vegapunk's sea beast that defended egghead.
I love franky, but damn how much I wish that he would use sea stone gauntlets or something like that to fight some logia dudes…
@@SmiddyWthey did introduce those clothes that could interact with light this arc, maybe it's not just light but logia users as well
Frankie is made of literal metal though. Haki requires concentration and all that. But fighting Frankie is like getting into a fight with a Ford F-250 going 50mph at you. Like even if you have Haki, you’re not walking out without some injuries. Road rash or somethin
We are so fucking back
Dude Franky was always strong enough to have solo fight and taking down big guys in every arc. I don't know why youtubers like you made him underrated.
You definitely deserve more recognition for this!
Something that I haven’t heard people really talk about is that, even if the timer is only at a minute left, the elders would need to be held off until the message finishes. They aren’t likely to just sit back and let it play, they’ll try to stop it playing fully if they can’t stop it starting
Anyone else noticing the parallels between stussy and Bon clay stating behind Luffy won’t let this happen again
St. Marcus: **Destroys random computer to stop the stream**
York: This is not how videos on the internet work, grandpa!
Edging the iron giant is crazy
That is the statement of all time
I think the entire logic of “Haki user auto wins vs non-Haki user” just doesn’t imply when there’s just a huge difference in strength.
Meybe he will use it later idk
He just threw did a red rock that left the boar gorosei unaffected so I think that will be a signal for luffy to use advanced conqueror's to overcome his tough skin just like he did to kaido, also an opportunity for a conqueror's clash since the boar guy also let out a conqueror roar previously
@@jimtsap04 I really hope so. If he was landing CH strikes with Lucci and Kizaru it could have had a major impact and it's irking me that he's not doing that.
@@Jdreeve11honestly i doubt conquerors will be as effective as with kaido but thats just me
@@jimtsap04red rock is ryou not conquerors but thinking how luffy evolved how he probably did add COC haki in that punch
Jinbe is the aqua man of the group: everyone assumes he’s a joke until he starts throwing buildings one handed (in jinbes case category 5 tidal waves)
I fkin love your Wallace and Gromit mugs
That panel of samurai Gandhi with the silhouette.. so freaking intimidating 😱🤣
one thing you gotta remember is that the gum gum fruit makes you immune to all blunt force trauma just straight up, so luffy being hurt from the recoil of hitting the boar guy is actually a pretty big red flag.
At bested heavily dilutes the power of blunt force trauma but he's been hurt by blunt force trauma many times
kaido Used basically just a club
@@yami122 that's because of haki and he was the one getting hit, here he just hit the guy and it hurt him
@@pep4338 I wonder if that means that they're made of pure haki
More like he sees something in what he realises that they take a L
Everything is perfectly set up to be bothered by some big reveal: 1min left, all matchups facing each other, the giant have been seen approaching last chapter, so if he still moves even though G5 is gone, he should be there now. My idea is, what ever is up there on the top will be a decoy for the last seconds until the broadcasting starts, what will force the elders to decide to eradicate the island and let off the strawhats and the giant will send the sunny flying to help them escape.
But Oda will probably do something absolutely crazy no one thought off.
ara-RAD-nid is a spider wearing a backwards hat, sunglasses and a colourful jacket, riding multiple skateboards.
I like how Venus who's a swordsman is closer to Sanji and Mars who can fly is closer to Zoro, the matchup would be refreshing if they do run into them
I'm certain Marcus Mars is standing in front of Vegapunk's brain 🧠
vice admirals are basically like avatars of khaine from warhammer...super strong beings that are just there to show how strong somebody is when they easily defeat them
I have two things to say:
1, What are the chances Vegapunk's message is coded in the talk about coffee?
2, What would Geko Moria be able to do with the shadows of the 5 Elders, or someone like Imu for that matter?
Moria solos the verse
I agree about the elders, they seem to have been underestimated because it was gear 5 they were fighting but now we see Warcury compared to an attack that does not ignore basic logic and he's bonkers.
Oda showed us a long time ago that you dont need Haki to beat someone who has it. Idk why its a problem for someone as strong as franky to do what he does
Can you please when did that happen? Legit asking here
@@gabrielgoes0 I guess Luffy Gear 2 against the Boa sisters and technically Enel's priests in Skypiea with Observation Haki. Hordy Jones ODing on energy steroids almost brought Luffy down, he did need a blood transfusion afterwards.
Crocodile probably knew Haki too and he was beaten by Luffy too. CP 9 had Haki too with Iron Body being a lesser version.
@@anglosaxiphone8246 Probably is the best we'll get, but we don't know nor can we prove it. Tekkai while having similar effects still isn't Haki. It's just raw physical defense up.
@@anglosaxiphone8246 yeah, those are good examples
Speaking of Usopp against Saturn; what if his attacks are most efficient against the five elders? Vegas punk did mentioned that devil fruits weakness is the mother nature and Usopps attacks are all plants. Feel like it's gonna be like Obito against sage mode
Jimbei would be fine with them eating sea food if hatchan had a takoyaki stand
They shouldn't have problems anyway considering the fish they're based off of are predators. And in Hatchi's case some octopi are known for eating other octopi
@@Drums_of_LiberationI thought Jinbe is a whale shark (that's also his namesake) fishman? Not exactly a predator species.
To be fair, Bonney is also 12 years old. So her kicking a child feels on point.
Now I'm actually concerned about that. Imagine getting a cool waking up panel, and then it just go down again after G5 is ended
Seems to me they imitating reatsu in bleach, the one who has less, takes the damage
A very rare mid-day post
In your time zone. To him, it's a very early in the day post.
The chronic lack of Haki amongst the crews actual fighters is really weird, yeah. Franky, Brook and Robin all should be capable of basic Armament by this point and I'm not sure what Oda is holding out on it for. At this point I wonder if they'll ever get it.
I think Sanji's food can upgrade Gear 5's duration, remember how they said that Kamabaka Kingdom's food revitalize the body
honestly my headcannon is easily that alot of characters do have haki even though we aren't specifically told / shown that they have haki, sorta like how we didn't see that lucci have haki because oda didn't show us specifically
it's like oda favours a diverse crew more and he'd rather focus more on the unique powers of his crew, franky has his robots / cyborg powers, robin recently got her demonic upgrade and adding haki to these things would maybe muddy the whole conversation behind it more and devolve it from people talking about robins unique power to a conversation around "hakilevels"
it's like you can't get away with not giving luffy and zoro haki and you can't get away with not giving sanji haki because he's portrayed as a rival to zoro
because it literally does not make sense that the most observant women who lived 2 entire decades being constantly hunted while being successful in evading them somehow never developped obsrervation haki
it just doesn't make any sense even if we consider a possibility where maybe her having her devilfruit would have limited her observation haki development because she didn't need to learn it if her devilfruit was already doing that same job kinda
I'm so glad Oda has been practicing drawing ass. Stussy looked so good.
At the start of the video, Franky is literally a cyborg who made tank modifications to his body you need more than just basic haki to beat him.
Mars is looking at Rocks at the end of the chapter, same as Tobi looked at Madara in coffin when Kabuto showed him.
I wonder how many dresrosa chapters ended on doffys face close up on his glasses as he is laughing
Everyone is thinking about how straw hats will escape while I am thinking about bounty posters of straw hats after the eggheads incident
I love that stucy did a reverse cp-9 on cp-0 honestly she's so cool love her as a character
