    I just enjoy the number of people that have no idea why they are watching these tutorials and have no intention to do it but still enjoy it :D
    I think its just a general interest for building stuff and somehow brings back childhood memories and fascination. And its nice to know that there are parts of RUclips without negative comments.
    Great job! Greetings from Germany

      If you glue some of the models together like the road ones or the ones with rivers in them, I think they’d be at least mildly alike. You’d need to make them specially to be lined up and not look really weird.

      Thanks :) It didn't take all that long... I've been doing these dioramas for about 3 years. I basically started when I began this RUclips channel however, I've always been a little artistic and had an interest in models and sculpting for a very long time. As a kid I used to make model aircraft and art and wood tech were among my favorite subjects in high school.
      Cheers

    Thanks for another great video Luke! The Flexi-Stick looks like a fabric pattern ruler my wife has in her sewing room, albeit without the colour patches to make it easier to do the dashed lines. not "bathtub challenges" and and stupid pranks.. but weirdly, those people get rich and this here is a rare and hidden diamond inbetween.. but who are we kidding, its the viewers fault..

    • @BoulderCreekRailroad
      @BoulderCreekRailroad  8 лет назад +5

      lol, thanks Vikki. It is stop motion, I spent a good few hours making that animation! There are a few mistakes with it but overall it looks pretty good. I used flood lights to illuminate the diorama but unfortunately the very small amount of sunlight leaking through the blinds caused a flickering effect but I guess the flickering kind of adds to the atmosphere of the movie.
      I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

      Yeah it took him a whole day (not a few hours) to take so many photos...I know because the garage was so cold so he migrated into our study (where the heater is), did his set up with his lights and shot away...it was beside our computer while I was studying. He puts so much effort to making it perfect for his supporters. It's impressive. Thank you for supporting him :-)

    This channel relaxes me like so few do nowadays. I'd like to take a crack at some of these dioramas someday myself. Finding the time to do so will be difficult but ultimately rewarding I reckon.

    A bit late to finding your channel but I'm continuously amazed after each video I click on. A thought that came to mind recently was, "where does he keep all these and does he eventually pass them on to friends, family or strangers as gifts?" If you haven't already done one, a tour of the projects you've kept would be GREAT!! Until then...I have a large backlog of your videos to watch

    Thanks for this- I was looking for a way to have the "stippled" effect for the road on my layout- here it is and it is a very simple technique. Why didn't I think of that? I will now redo my road using these techniques. Well done!

    With all the yellow flags it looks like a crime scene. The diorama looks excellent and you always inspire me to do my own. Can't wait until your next post.

      Lots of ideas :-) a crime scene diorama would be excellent too. Might have to get a cop car with flashing lights and the crime scene tape with a chalk drawing on the scene or something like that. What fun. But then; would it be an Aussie crime scene or American crime scene?

      You are welcome. It is just action-reaction principle: you made fantastic video so you got back fantastic comment ! :) Great products are not sufficient by themselves without talented people to use them. And my comment is valid for all your other videos as well. But I did not say it before in order to prevent you to get a big head, haha ! ;) It is not by chance that your work got this award (I forgot its name, sorry, and I don't find it back on your site now but I am sure I saw it) ! Cheers ! :) JF
