So make sure you get the upgraded one and you are good to go, the original concept is still good much easier to transport than circular pop up tents. Great review thanks
I bought one a couple of months ago but don't know if it's the old or new version. The workmanship is excellent and the design is well thought out, but only up to a point, and i've got 3 gripes- 1- My tiny top rain fly (same as in the video) is much too small and allows rain to creep under it and 'puddle' on top of the tent, but it's easy to make a bigger one from old scraps of tent material. 2- The bug mesh only comes halfway down the doors (as in the vid), meaning ventilation won't be good on hot days or nights with the doors zipped up. 3- The tent is much too big and heavy for backpacking on foot, and even bicycle spokes might pop under the weight, so you really need a motorbike or vehicle to carry it. PS- I haven't tested it in the rain yet, but if it leaks that'd be no problem because I could simply throw a spare lightweight fly or tarp over it and peg it on with clothes pegs..:)
@@DerekGreene-lg6vq Does it come with the ground tarp. Are the guide line thicker and come with the plastic guide to tight the lines? According to the company all the tent are waterproof now. Plus you should be able to return within a time frame if it leaks. I would do a test in raining conditions once you buy it

The main rain fly is what you are touching at 2:02. The one at the top is just more of a beauty cover for the center mechanism.
Yes, but in my opinion it should be a little bigger . If you see some similar tents their top rain fly are bigger
Thank you for your tests. I like the design of this tent but there is a slightly low quality side which is not very reassuring

@@Yololife813 I haven’t purchased yet as I can’t be sure which one is the newer model am I right to presume the older model did not come a tarp ?
@@DerekGreene-lg6vq I would email them and ask if it comes with a ground tarp. Some viewers said their come with ground tarp
@@Yololife813 thanks 🙏 I’ll do that
