Thanks so much for watching Coaches!! Quick question, as you coaches know every video I create is for YOU so please comment on this thread and let me know what you would like to see a video about. And also, don’t forget to pick up your FREE Offensive drills if you haven’t yet: bit.ly/FREEdrills
We would call this as drawn 91 TX (Texas - 2 inside WR crossing) Switch. We can use a 491 to get the SB out on a bubble left also rather than a flat because of these reasons - in M/M the F (our W) can turn up to the far corner on the site of a backside dog because either the OLB, ILB or FS will have the SB. The X would be the clear out and the SB should pop open in the flat. 90 series is typically the backside read and 400 tells the SB to free release so the audible would be the live color and 491 which would keep everyone else the same. Second in a zone, that backside flat defender has a bubble underneath and the F coming to the void if he drops down, and the FS goes deep 1/2 or 1/3. So essentially the reads are reversed to SB - F - Z - Y - X on the 400 call. The keys are X is in a closer split and F is as well, usually the ball is on or near the boundary hash. Sounds complicated but it’s literally a big drop step, read, throw. QB reads the boundaries - grass = SB, Jersey = F (our W, or Wing). This is for the 491 change, but the 91 keeps the reads and routes like you had.
I coach middle school football and cant find success with mesh concept. I feel likr it takes to long for it develop. I brought the formation in tight a ran with a te and slot. Still not enough time. Maybe im running it wrong. Any suggestions?

Practice doesn't start until next weekend but it will be one of the first plays out
This is a great twist on Mesh
That's what I thought coach. When he told us we all slapped our heads and went "Duh!"
What we're the 5 plays he ran in hawaii?
Great stuff coach!
Thanks for the kind words coach. And thanks for watching.
Thanks for all the info you are sharing Coach! Sh*tloads of info for us in the football desert of Hungary. Keep up the great work! ;)
Thanks for the kind words coach. And thanks for watching. It means a lot to me.
Great video! What were Coach June’s other 4 plays he ran?
Never mind, just read below
Any Mesh Drill ?
What's the question coach? Sorry.

What's your progression?
How wide are your line splits?
@@cbeckley273 We go 2 to 3 feet.
How many different mesh concepts do you go into s season with? And do you rename them all or just tag the routes?
We use one version - Coach Mumme's way - and then two or three tags.
I love this play on paper, but how long should the OLine hold to make this play succesfully?
If you pre snap read it you can eliminate one of the two switch routes. So it is either 1a or 1b to the mesh. 3 seconds is plenty of time then.
Unbelieve great play.
But in Germany we only train 2 times a week
Make Mesh your only play and you will destroy teams.
Do all your high schools have football teams in Germany
Our high school have no sportteams.
Our kids do sport in Franchises.
You say June Jones was successful running just 5 PLAYS that season. What were those five plays?
Mesh, divide, choice, switch, and I can’t remember the last one. Sorry coach.
