Thanks so much for watching Coaches!! Quick question, as you coaches know every video I create is for YOU so please comment on this thread and let me know what you would like to see a video about. And also, don’t forget to pick up your FREE Offensive drills if you haven’t yet: bit.ly/FREEdrills
Hey coach, one play I had drawn up would have your L/Y run those crosses you initially drew up, the F runs a Whip to get that OLB and S to make a decision and then R does a Corner
Coach. This video has made me fall in love with the mesh concept. 😂 I have heard of the concept, but not really payed to much attention to it until now. It is really helpful how you use proper technical terms to describe the assignments of each player; so I can create a detailed mental picture of the plays.
Coach McKie question, when you label the receivers as (R, L, F and Y,) you are going from left to right correct? Also, are these labels Air Raid specific?
For us, the read progression is the same from bunch but the players break open at different times and in different pieces of grass. In terms of practice time, I have to treat it like a different play that needs its own time. This is true with all of our concepts from bunch. For example with verts out of 3x1 the #2 WR usually broke open. The backer would try to wall off number 3 and our middle WR would slip inside the safety. It's a tight window, but it was money with our possession find grass guy. Out of bunch. #3 crossing to the far hash ended up open right away quite a bit as they jammed #2 at the point of the bunch. The QB had to learn to process the read differently.
@@CoachMcKie I am a big formations guy. My practices are set up around formations and plays. We practice bunch and stack on our zone run day. We would drill this during routes on air and 7v7.

Awesome man. I love mesh and it's a great play. I wish more teams used it.

How often do you rep this since it is different to your kids?

Bunch is worth the effort by route precision right?????
that is a bad a$$ play right there
Double move routes like this requires a good OL don't forget that part.
I never forget that point coach.
Good stuff coach
