  • TIG Welding For Beginners, and 3 Proper Steps Every TIG Welder Should Know!
    These beginner-friendly steps are about, Joint fit-up and alignment, tacking, purging, and TIG welding open root technique with pipe in position! This video is also about the lay wire or constant feed technique on the root or wiggle motion with the tig torch. Video gives the viewer good insights on how to set up for success, and place good and solid root pass. With the appropriate training and practice on the part of the operator, learning to freehand root can become an invaluable skill!

    Man, you seriously deserve your channel to grow so much more and I hope you will get many more subscribers. I think it takes a lot of efforts and work to film and edit these video, and just welding by itself it’s really hard work, as we all know it. I don’t like many other” famous” channels as they mostly have only fish bait videos with content that isn’t helpful at all! Watching your videos has helped me so much to level up and become a better welder! Thank you so much bro! 🤩🤛🏻

    I’m not new to tig welding but I am new to pipe welding. Great video lots of useful info. First couple tig roots I did in pipe had lots of inconsistency and suck back. Gonna keep at it and see if the can get better

    hey love your videos im at a combo weldintg school and special alloy, on lift arc when not doing a scratch arc motion when and where / how is it safe to lift arc off the pipe to not get any tungsten inclution / breaking of tungston, should you always lift arc on the side of the bevel and is it ok to be having the tungsten stuck right as you lift arcing and have to wingle it loose and then start your free hand ????

      Hey Mo, thanks for your comment brother. I like to do fitting by myself sometimes as I don’t have patience for pipe fitters , they making science fiction out of fit up.😉Just to show them that I can do their job but they can’t do mine.😂

    Thanks, great video! Haven't you tried special soluble rice paper for purging? Maybe can save some time i.e.form small chamber and purge through the gap or drill a small hole to the side from the weld

      Hey bud thanks for your comment. I did weld with that before, and with needle purge as well , but for this particular project, it’s not allowed, I will explain more in my next video.

    Good video for beginners, for sure. I myself use the keyhole and dab from start to finish, with a 5/32 gap 3/32 filler rod .But my amperage is lower than yours

    Excellent vid m8 did u run the buffing wheel between root and hot pass tho? I'm learning pipe atm on 6 inch carbon slowly getting it, is stainless that much different to weld?

      Hey bud thanks for comment. Yes, I did use buffer between passes. To answer your last question, yes it’s different tho . Requires little bit more skills, more arc control and proper set up prior to welding.

    When closing the root, do you have to turn down purge or did you leave it as is?

      Hey bud thanks for your comment. I just leave it as is. In case if purge is pushing your puddle out, especially when closing, you can turn down.

    Nice vide mate, what type of gas do you use for purging??
    I prefer a mix called Formier gas, argon/helium/02
