I really enjoy watching your videos because of your skills and experience but above all because of your character and personality. The things a person says and the way he says them tells a lot about him and you seem like a very good man to me. I find myself learning not only about leather craftsmanship but also about attitude to life. Thank you!
Wow. That is an absolutely amazing job. I hope the customer realizes the deal she got and left a generous tip (or returns to do so after she sees the video). Stay safe and healthy, Steve!
👍😍OMG you’re absolutely amazing!!! 💝 I hope everyone truly understands the mastery level work involved with this project!!! I ride horses too. I can see why she liked those boots, however, as a rider, there is no way I’d buy ill fitting boots that would need that much work. Riding boots normally drop 1-2 inches after wear, so I’m surprised she wanted them shortened.🤔 ☝️She must have gotten a good deal on those boot or has money to burn, because they’re expensive. Thanks for sharing your awesome mastery craftsmanship. 🤗💞🤗
A Boot Company located here In Williamson County Tennessee had an outlet store not 3 miles from the factory. The man who ran much of the place was the fella who made my first set of riding boots for English Show.. every time I needed a new pair, from growing up basically, He would have me come in so he could take all the measurements. He was meticulous in his craft & even when He would show up to one of my time trials or what have you - He would frown from frustration at his work He would say.. When the place went out of business - from Big manufactories - I came in one last time.. tried to hide the tears as he measured me one final time.. He made me the most beautiful pair of western boots- fit for the days I was a rodeo star- lol.. I have kept them safe- but still in the last shoebox I will ever have of his work.. When I found out I have a genetic disorder That makes my connective tissue More stretchy & loose than your average person, it affects the way I stand, my gate & the way I wear out my boots & high heels - I saw him shopping one day & I shared my devastating news .. The sweet man smiled & I asked why did he seem relieved in a way.. He told me, He wanted to make all of his customers happy & He couldn't figure out How I alone could make rags out of gorgeous boots in the relatively short time I used them - Granted they were working - But - He thought - He was doing something wrong & even watched me using them - He said He was upset that now I must deal with this Illness- But he was so glad & proud that I entrusted Him with the task of making me riding boots that didn't fail to do their job after a month of wear...
Steve your videos should be classified "essential services!" It is like having a cup of coffee with a friend, and it takes our mind off the virus for the time of the video to remember the good old days! Hope the time "off" is letting you catch up in a less feverish pace. Best wishes to you and your family.
Steve, you don't have to justify anything to me, I'm just greatful your willing to share your experiences and talent with me and the viewers. Most people don't think twice about the construction of footware, I learned a lot of thing about shoes and what goes into them, and not take them for granted. Thanks again
If a shaky hand does this kind of wonderful work, I am going to drink more coffee. I do notice when you are doing solid, intricate work, your hands are rock solid. It only when they are in mid-air that it becomes noticeable. I would never have seen it if you did not point it out. Your process of working through problems is the best thing about your videos. Seeing a problem, stepping back and then bringing a workable solution to the problem is what I look forward to. Stay safe Steve.
I don't know if I have reached a new high or low when I am stitching leather while watching Bedo's video's. It's like working right beside you, Steve! :)
When you were stitching around the decorative portion of the boot, I was so nervous I had to fast forward through it. Glad everything turned out alright.
Bedo - I feel you 100% on that. I'm an artist and people that see things that I create are always saying how "awesome" the pieces are but personally I know each and every mistake, I see all the places I could improve and learn from. I am my own worst critic :)
I know what you mean...I have sewn for over 60 years (yep...I'm OLD!!)...have made well over a dozen wedding gowns I designed, even re-did the interior of a Peterbilt truck (new leather seat covers, padded visors, padded side panels, etc) and I STILL get frustrated with myself because I am aware of every mistake even though no one else can see anything. but that is why we are artists in our trades... we are perfectionists...

Dianna Bowen I see someone let a troll out from under their bridge to comment. And yes, I’m the same way. It doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not you’re good at your craft, but rather that you constantly strive to learn and perfect. So yeah, after just finishing a baby quilt, I feel your pain sometimes. (I’ve been quilting for over 25 years.)
This is my all-time fave so far Steve! I saved it because I wanted to watch the work very closely. Have some riding boots but had never heard of Deniro; very high end! I also did a lot of sewing in the past. I particularly liked the way the added piece of leather made that extra curve under the trim, it looked like it was planned. What a puzzle to get everything back together cleanly and neatly; you maxed it! Guess you had to glue back some of the sequins and rhinestones; those I was not a fan of, surprised they'd put those in a sport where everything gets rubbed a lot. Whew that coffee was SERIOUS. LOL, Cheers!
Thank you once again for furnishing a much needed respite from the clamor. It really means a lot to have a safe harbor in this storm. You are providing a service far beyond shoe repair, greatly appreciated.
Hi Steve. I love your videos, i know exactly what you are talking about when you said you giving grad to your self. You are an artist and artists always think that they can do better and there is room for improvement. You are doing awesome job. I think i watched almost all your videos. I think you have a Juki walking foot sewing machine in your shop but I never saw you using it. Thank you for great videos. Stay safe. Thank you from Los Angeles.
Steve, you are amazing in the thought that you give to each project, and the care and craftsmanship that creates some stunning works of art in footwear. It's Great to be able to watch a master like you repair, restyle, resize and recapture the elegance of some very expensive shoes! And THANK YOU for sharing this with us! You ARE entertaining.
I have three pairs of custom DeNiro English boots. When this video started I almost burst into tears seeing them torn apart😞 I can't fathom my boots going through this. I figure she bought these secondhand at a steal as these are new $1000++++ boots, and found you to make them fit her.
You did a great job and illustrated your versatility. You ability to not panic when a challenge comes up is one of your best talents. The fact that you still get comments about your shakey hands must mean you are continuing to get new viewers and followers. Keep up the good work.

I love the absolute attention to detail and craftsmanship and how much you strive to perfect what you do. Can definitely see that this is a passion and not just a job. Great work, it shows me what is possible and how pros do it. I use footwear manufacturers for my work for medical footwear and so many time I get the answer it can’t be done what I need them to do. You proved that they are just lazy doing it or simply they lack the knowledge. Great work , keep it up.
I have the same issue with my hands shaking. It's occurred for as long as I can remember. People make comments about it all the time. It usually gets worse when I'm nervous, tired, or anxious.
Stumbled upon you looking for tips on cleaning work boots lol. I have no ambitions on doing what you do. But you do it so well. It's very satisfying to watch. And you are a master of your craft. I have binge watched your videos for the last 3hrs this lazy Sunday haha. New subscriber. And keep up the good work.
I don't remember a time when I didn't shake until my late forties, early fifties. My tremors were so bad people commented and friends gave me a hard time when I was younger. Never interfered with fine handwork. Then 15-20 years ago I realized I don't shake any more. So maybe you have something to look forward to, but it doesn't seem to matter.
The man is a grown, owner of a shop, father, and husband if their was something wrong with him they'd notice before you youtube watchers! Dear lord leave the man alone!
Great job ! I was thinking as you were working on the boot , wow $ 250 .00 was an e excellent price for all the work you put into the boots ! Then you ssid. You would not have attempted the job for $ 500.00 if you knew how much detail was involved. But you a nice guy and seen it was a positive experience! Your tremors just might be due the caffeine, but sometimes a tremor is related to a trauma you experienced a very long time ago ! Anyway take care!
Hi Steve, I was 11 when I start the tremors!. I had all the test that could be done, In the end the diagnoses was, start to worry when the shaking stops as you will be dead.
Love your videos Steve, they are a welcome escape from the madness that's happening around us at the moment. You and your family stay safe and keep up the great work.
Steve I really enjoyed watching this very intricate job! Your $250 charge bordered on being too cheap for all your work! Another beautiful job by The Master!
Keep safe Steve, hope you and yours come out of this ok. I think people who see your shakes worry about you because they care. Those of us who have been around for a while know the score, but it’s nice to know people care about you.
Steve..I’m an upholsterer and I was thinking that I bet Steve was kicking himself for pricing the job at that price. I have no room to talk though as my wife is always saying that I price my work too inexpensive. I enjoy watching you man!!
Before many of you think a $250 repair/refit is a lot to invest - these boots are around $800 USD new. Like a lot of dressage (riding) boots, I'm sure she just thought they would stretch. Good on you, Steve. Your shakes don't bother me - and you are one handsome sonofagun! Ha! Be well.
Hi ... I'm in the UK & on furlong from work ...yippee I say more time to watch your videos. You do a marvelous job . Shakey hands and all lol . Keep em coming. 💯
Hello Steve, You have done a great job, i think the costomer will be happy to get the boots back, and able to wear them. And now its time to listen to Hank Williams.
I agree with you Steve, if they don't like it then MOVE ALONG! And it's definitely true, you have to LOVE yourself before someone can love you back! Hope all is well with you and your family, cheers from Canada eh
Steve: Your coffee is almost as good as your leatherwork. OUTSTANDING job in both categories. Switch from Kit-Kat to an Italian pizzelle (anise flavor) for a better coffee accompaniment!
I’m so jealous. I’m a dressage girl too and those DeNiros are gorgeous. ❤️. What an amazing job you’ve done. P.S. I wondered about your shaking too and was worried that you had a nervous disorder. Lovely to hear that you’re healthy and well 👍🏻
Making good coffee in that style is an art. I don't want to name it by ethnicity because everyone from Greece to Morocco and points in between considers it "their" coffee, and hate it when you call it by a different name. I know Steve's family was in Lebanon before they came to America, so I wonder if he makes it Lebanese style. They sometimes add cardamom.
These boots are better style-wise, too & more classic. They were too funky before for riding- never want to distract the horse! Customer should be thrilled!
DenNiro boots are already ridiculously priced so she is committed to these boots! Good on her. She will get the perfect boots that will be perfect for her. Im currently on the hunt for tall boots for riding as well but will never afford DeNiro boots. My husband would kill me 🤣🤣
I am sure the boots wouldn’t have cost a great deal more than $600, well not over here in the U.K. - they can never have fit the customer when she bought them if you had to take so much off the length, you are advised to buy them a little long as the will always drop on the ankle with wear, she could have added heel raisers inside the boot s but not to take up that much length of boot, she got a bargain alteration there!
Steve the master another great video of an excellent job keep doing what you do and stay safe during these awful times I’m in the uk on lockdown because of this virus your videos keep me amazed and wholly entertained thanks
I literally got to the part where you said you were lowering the pattern down, and I wanted to call you and warn you about the gap you would have. Then I realized like a dumb ass this is a vid. Go figure... I’m spending my Michigan mandatory stay home order (except for necessities) sewing masks for the local hospital. They put out the call yesterday. I was watching this while pinning. Thanks for keeping me company and creating such interesting content! ❤️
Hi Steve yes we are now in lockdown here in England for the next 3 weeks, but it’s something we all have to do to beat the awful virus, I hope you are taking care and your family to, as I’ve said before love your videos and your workmanship keep safe best wishes sue and Andy Jenkins Reading England 🏴❤️x
Not that i am riding or something, but i was curious about how much those kind of boots cost. From what i found, the price ranges between at least 550USD to way over a thousend. So if people wonder about the "enormous" price of repairs or alterations, my answer would always be: If one invests that much money in a quality item, you should also invest in qualitiy work. And honestly, that customer got lucky getting all this done for only 250$. We are talking about around 2 days of work if i followed right. Breakt that down, and there you go. ;-) Anyways, love to watch you work, it is really soothing. 😍 P.S.: Nice coffee shot, you are a funny guy 🤪
When my daughter was about 3 yo, she would say “ I luth ethybody and ethybody luth me.” Today she is a kind (and confident) 42 yo. I think it’s a great outlook on one’s self image, So go ahead and proclaim to be a handsome man! Haha! 😁
Hi Steve, I am not nervous when you use a knife. Well, I figure you know what you are doing & if you had a little slip you would edit that out! I did miss hammer time!! Maybe, next time. I didn't hear your air compressor? I missed that, too. haha Great job on these boots, they sure look great! I bet the customer was very happy with them. There is nothing worse than tight boots. Take care and God Bless.
Beautiful done. And yes the plastic is a bit out center but I like it. It's like it should be like that. Ps. Yeap you are an attractive man... your wife may be happy that I live overseas... although thay never stopped me before. I like my coffee like you like your coffee...a tad on the 'crunchy' side. Superb alteration on the equestrian boots.
teddy G ... the spoon has to stay in the cup ;)
Steve I really enjoyed watching this very intricate job! Your $250 charge bordered on being too cheap for all your work! Another beautiful job by The Master!
You are truly an artist! Thanks for the video!
Keep safe Steve, hope you and yours come out of this ok. I think people who see your shakes worry about you because they care. Those of us who have been around for a while know the score, but it’s nice to know people care about you.
I’m glad you’re ok. One of my favorite channels.
That's straight caffeine mud ☕⚡
No wonder you got the shakes. Lol
You just keep doing what you do Steve. Thanks for the awesome work and videos👍🏼
With that extra band of leather, the repair job looks better than the original. From my aesthetic point of view. Great job, Steve.
Hello Steve, You have done a great job, i think the costomer will be happy to get the boots back, and able to wear them. And now its time to listen to Hank Williams.
Kind and wise words from a very handsome man 👍 hope you and yours stay safe. Love from the UK👍
You are just amazing, i enjoy every video from you. Keep up the extraordinary work, that you do!
Great work! Boots must be tough to work on! You have to grade yourself, because it helps growth. No hammertime, but I'll let it go this time, lol.
Beautiful job...as ever! Stay safe yourself! Keep videos coming. Need escape time too!
I’m so jealous. I’m a dressage girl too and those DeNiros are gorgeous. ❤️. What an amazing job you’ve done. P.S. I wondered about your shaking too and was worried that you had a nervous disorder. Lovely to hear that you’re healthy and well 👍🏻
Great skill and ingenuity Steve- top work
Another great video, Steve, even without any Hammer Time.
WHAT?!?
I just started watching.
There's no hammer time!
Absolutely love watching you.
Great work. Loved your last message. Be safe!
This guy got coffee making too now? Full of surprises.
I agree. My sister’s were a pain to fit because she was so tiny.
You are right, all high leather boots drop at the ancle. Even so, the alterations were of a very high standard. As always!!!!
Steve the master another great video of an excellent job keep doing what you do and stay safe during these awful times I’m in the uk on lockdown because of this virus your videos keep me amazed and wholly entertained thanks
thank you for your kind last words. You ROCK
Honestly I think it looks better with your added piece👏⭐️
Am hooked!!! I need someone to pull me away from these vids🤣
What a fantastic job, a real craftsman
So if people wonder about the "enormous" price of repairs or alterations, my answer would always be:
If one invests that much money in a quality item, you should also invest in qualitiy work.
And honestly, that customer got lucky getting all this done for only 250$. We are talking about around 2 days of work if i followed right.
Breakt that down, and there you go. ;-)
Anyways, love to watch you work, it is really soothing. 😍
P.S.: Nice coffee shot, you are a funny guy 🤪
When my daughter was about 3 yo, she would say “ I luth ethybody and ethybody luth me.” Today she is a kind (and confident) 42 yo. I think it’s a great outlook on one’s self image, So go ahead and proclaim to be a handsome man! Haha! 😁
The boots look great! Very cool to watch. Thanks!
Great job on those boots Steve. Not easy when you look at the decorator leather and rhinestones on the top.
My husband I found him 3141 km from where I live... 🤣😉❤
No seriously you are an artist. And I respect your work and your art... big hugs and stay safe...
Another one!! Great Job Steve! Thanks for caring for other people/Covid
Amazing work! Worth more than 250!
