Bach - Ach bleib bei uns, Herr Jesu Christ BWV 649 - Kofler | Netherlands Bach Society

- An exercise for just one hand? A work that’s survived incomplete? Or maybe a strange fugue with a theme that’s far too long? If you were to come across BWV on its own, for the first 30 seconds you’d be wondering what sort of piece it was. But when the second part enters, the bits of the puzzle soon fall into place with the chorale melody Ach bleib bei uns, Herr Jesu Christ: it’s a chorale arrangement! Like the other chorale arrangements from the Schübler-Choräle, this one too is an arrangement of an earlier work with a completely different instrumentation. Originally, Bach wrote almost identical notes as an aria for violoncello piccolo and soprano, as part of cantata BWV 6.

Peter Kofler, organist
Organ: Arp Schnitger, ca. 1700 - Видеоклипы
The clarity of his left hand is amazing
Maybe he's left handed :|
Is his hand semi-transparent? I must not be looking in the right portions of footage. I wonder if it reveals he is actually an A.I. being?
I really find the very intimate character of this recording very rewarding. You can hear EVERYTHING. Every little mechanical sound, every detail. It is almost like to you are standing very close to the performer.
Thank you so much for this upload - I must learn it someday :-) !
I like how all the little mechanical sounds of the organ are present. Kind of gives the recording a place and a character.
Douglas Adams listened to this over and over again on repeat while writing Dirk Gently's Holisitic Detective Agency. It's a great piece.
So airy and cheerful. What a lovely Thursday surprise.
So Delightful and wonderfully rendered …. Or as my students say, “this is a bop”
I like how he raises his left hand up just like Glen Gould did.
Probably the most beautiful organ I’ve ever seen! the keys are just divine
The keys remind me of shortbread cookies
Like always, superior quality recording from NBS!
what an organ
Very beautifully played love the organ sound thank's NBS🍃
No Brasil de madrugada assistindo esta VIRTUOSIDADE! Wonderful!
De muziek was mooi en zeer goed gespeeld.
Another beautiful Bach cantata played by a virtuoso organist on a unique organ 🎵😌🎶
Thank you! I was waiting for this recording! Great as usual!!!
Thank you and God bless, NBS!!!😀❤🇺🇲🇳🇱
Thank you for the three great minutes.
This is what we need at this moments. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day ~~~🙂
Very beautiful trills!
Nunca visto, um talentoso organista que rege a si mesmo!
I've had the pleasure of hearing and even messing about on this lovely historic organ. It's sounds, its action and its temperament are as exquisite as its lovely appearance.. This video brings out some of that character!
Wonderful !
Intimistic. Perfectly performed.
Comme c’est beau! Salutations cordiales depuis le nord du Canada!
Wat een heerlijke muziek!
Really beautiful recording. It's lovely to hear all mechanical noises that seem to be there with the organist that, in my opinion, I consider really musical and he has a good ear for the better registers to play the chorale melody and the other parts. Congrats to NBS as always
Nuestro padre Bach siempre sublime...
Eine Kostbarkeit, wunderbar musiziert!
The heavenly sound itself!
Utterly beautiful and brilliant performance (and recording!).
Interesting pattern on the keys.
바흐의 음악은 언제나 질서정연하며 플라토닉이며 천상의 바로크 음악이다.
I totally agree with you 🎵😌🎶
Thank you... beautifully played.💐
Beautiful performance. What a cool organ that is too.
Remarkably sensitive performance. Perfection.
Excellent performance.
i love this recording!
Absolutely gorgeous! Heerlijk muziek!

The vote for Bach especially in the epay netherlands! Oh the things that can be done with epay and yen makes all the difference w such an expensive tour in Montreal..not a menu collector but always looking for savory
Bravo!
Ah, yes. Bach. A fine Lutheran Christian.
So full of the love of Christ.
incredible playing & delightful sounding 👍 thanks nbs!!
might get in trouble for saying this but does it feel to anyone else like there's an extra measure here & there?... i'm sure there's not-just felt like it... 🎵
great
So funny....by listening to this I thought about Bach mumbling this sweet leading tune under the shower (if he ever had one :-)... for sure my own showers will not be silent any longer now.
Gorgeous execution, thank you so much !!!
Showers weren't actually that common or as convenient as they are today back then (in fact, the first "shower" model was invented in 1767, which is roughly 17 years after Bach's death, for that matter) but I suppose that still doesn't change the fact that this piece would make a good shower tune after all!
¡Excelso!
0:30 sounded like a modern rhythm. Is that just me?
Not just you. Actually I was very surprised in that moment 🎵🙃🎶
@@agnesgrey4799 yea, the rhythm is syncopated. It’s a neat thing to see in Bach, it’s rare but he uses it in a couple places
@@zurich5607I’ve been listening to Bach almost whole my life and that’s I was surprised (and happy) realizing that my dear Johann will “shock” me a few more times with his uniqueness and of course, gorgeous talent 🎵🙂🎶
@Sucker Punch I’ll have to think about it and go through some tracks, I can’t remember exact pieces. I’ll be sure to drop it here when I find them
Syncopation is extremely common in Bach. This case stands out due to switching between voices in double-time. (And I should add, the chromatic decent, which is more a contributing factor in this sounding "modern").
Bellisimo
♥️
👏👏👏
Супер видео кайф 🍒 от него 🍒 🍓 🍎 🍇
Did you plan to record also pieces, that are maybe not from Bach, but have a place in the bwv? For example BWV553-560🤔
⚘💖
I can get lost in the bach's music..
Me too 🎵😌🎶
violin concerto in e maj✔
we just need Brandenburg concerto No 1 plz
My favorite is the fourth, Allegro 🎵🙂🎶
This organist may be the new Glenn Gould.
I wonder where is it?? Is it German??
Uithuizen is situated in the province of Groningen, the Nertherlands.
@@andre26071955 Thank you so much!!
la mano que no usas, mejor quietecita...
Глазам своим не верю - второй Глен Гульд. Лучше бы собственную оригинальность придумал
Vreselijk gespeeld en geregistreerd,
Nee, toch! Ik heb ervan genoten!
Too mannered in my opinion
Zeer onritmisch. Waarom?
