    Hi Andy,
    I have to say I prefer your serious side to the mucking about one, so this video is great. I have saved this one to refer back to because of the useful info it contains. You said at the beginning you would tell us the size of the snap link. I may have missed it in the video, so could you just confirm the size, please.

      It's just the Preston ones, don't think they sell them as a specific size, but size 10 or 11 in most brands.

    Nice to see that I'm doing it the same way as the pro's after all my years of fishing and not having anything to go by when I've tried new methods in the past. I even taught myself how to twizzle line before RUclips even existed 👍

    I'm always out with the bomb or feeder. Last time out had a beautiful 7lb 8oz fully scaled mirror. Have to add though, the tips from Andy and Jamie have been invaluable, like the twizzled boom from this video. First I'd heard of it but has stopped all tangles!! Cheers Andy!!

    So right about keeping line tight when unhooking fish . I would turn off the anti reverse !
    Oh dear ! Then take off bail arm ! Again oh dear ! But with a bait runner , put that on and it seems to work fine !

    It's a great video for those just starting off bomb fishing(moi included), especially the how-to double 6mm pellet
    Cheers, Andy, and don't tell J Lad or he'll catch more ruddy fish if it was possible 😅

    Hi Andy lad you're a legend pal so easy to listen to and understand what you're trying to explain keep up the good work winningways😊😊😊
    Obviously you used double red pellet for hook bait but you said it was fishery pellets only is that just for feed then and any hook bait pellets?

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  2 месяца назад

      Yes fishery pellets only really applies to feed, hookbaits you can use what you want.

    Never personally bothered with a baitrunner reel for feeder/bomb fishing , i use a daiwa tdm 4000 size with QD the quick drag system is excellent a couple of clicks from free spool to set drag is awesome . Paired with a 10 or 11ft nzon Z feeder rod is a perfect combo for feeder fishing my clubs pools .

    The other one I get confused with is when to use bomb/pellet instead of method, and would/could you start pellet waggler then swop to bomb/pellet, hint hint new video

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  2 месяца назад +1

      As a rule of thumb, method would be when you're chucking to a feature like an island or when you are going a long way (further than you can feed)
      Bomb for open water where you make your spread of bait the feature for fish to home in on - and yes if you're fishing the waggler and feeding pellets, always worth having a bomb set up to chuck on the same line.

    Can you use corn instead of pellets ? Banded corn (is that a thing )....i am a bit of a newbie to fishing

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  3 месяца назад +1

      You can, they use it a lot at LIndholme in the winter, just with a bait spike rather than a band.

    what bait would you guys recommend for bomb fishing at Lindholme at this time of year, its quite close to me and I'm just getting back into fishing now after car accident so I'm looking forward to trying it

    Bomb and feeder are last resort method's for me But I'm old fashioned

  • @waspsfan
    @waspsfan 3 месяца назад

    I often wonder why use a bomb over a feeder?
    A feeder seems to have the versatility to do the same thing as a bomb, but also add some feed if required

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  3 месяца назад +2

      Just a different presentation, both will work on the right day. Sometimes the blatent pile of bait will get a bite quicker, other days pellet and bomb will be better.
