    I recently discovered overnight oats and have made the most delish combo. Blended steel cut oats with chia seeds, peanut butter powder, almond milk and agave syrup! I also added a teaspoon of chocolate protein powder but in that case i would eliminate the agave so it’s not too sweet. Super good. Top with your favorite berries!!

    Where are the containers from? They look super handy!

    • @siiiriously3226
      @siiiriously3226 9 месяцев назад +3

      these are "Weck" jars, it's a German brand, and they are intended to be used for preserves, like compott, jam, etc. I have no idea though, where you would buy them in other countries (I'm in Austria, and here they are sold at every kitchen supply store, but I also inhereted about 100of them from my mother & grandmother.) These exact jars are especially great, cause the jars get wider towards the opening, and are also suitable for preserving breads, or cakes in them. But for this specific use they are kind of a waste, since regular reused twist lid jars work imo better to freeze. These containers ate meant to withstand a lot of heat and the lid, when used with the red rubber seal ring will be held on with vacuum only, after the content has been cooked for preservation, and the lottle metal clamps are only there while they are heated, usually. so in this context.a regular jar with twist lid is more practical, imo. but the esthetic is nice of the Weck jars.
      I hope you can find them in your area. ❤

    • @EA-ck4so
      @EA-ck4so Год назад +11

      @@sayyndie 17 grams of protein in 100 grams of chia seeds. She added a teaspoon of chia seeds in each jar. Teaspoon is 4-6 grams. Hence, less than one gram of protein from chia seeds in one jar.
      Cow milk has even less protein. In total, one serving of such "cereal" gives max 8-10 grams of protein (that probaly will include a tablespoon of any nut butter).
      It is recommended to have 20-25 grams of protein in one meal. And you can't catch up on protein with your next meal because it is hard to assimilate large amount of protein all at once.
      So yes, it is a key to know the exact amount of nutrients you are getting from your meal. I like precision because I work out a lot and need all my nutrients accurately assessed.
