I tried that chip and literally drank a 1/2 gallon of milk immediately within 30 seconds. That is absolutely insane they both lasted that long.

Seeing Sean and how hard that chips spice hit him made me realise how spicy those Pacqui chips must be. Thats insane. I would never even attempt that.
I would not be able to get that to be done. I mean it's not have been 5minutes.
I did this challenge this year - it's really rough. It honestly takes your breath away with how spicy it is - my other issue is that all the little crumbs of the chip are stuck in your teeth etc and you can't get them all out. I stuck it out for about 6 minutes but I wasn't doing it with anyone else. If I had someone suffering by my side I would have stuck it out longer I think.

Yep just did mine. It was extremely hard but i made the hour. The second it hits your tongue, automatic fire. And even after you swallow, you fell the burning in your chest. Which that didnt go away until a few hrs later. Roughest thing ive ever done

Not necessarily hot peppers are supposed to have amazing health benefits and the hotter they are the better they are for you apparently. And you do build up a natural tolerance to them the more you eat them.
I can remember him saying before that he went and got a checkup with his doctor, and they said that he was completely fine

Getting to 1 hour is easy once you pass the 10 minute mark. Surviving those first 5-10 minutes is what's really crazy. For anyone that plans on doing this challenge, I recommend you don't drink too many liquids post eating chip. Actually makes the stomach pains worse than the initial pain from the spices was. I did it for the experience and mission accomplished, but my 11 year old son asked to try and I had to tell him no. That first 5-10 is a mfer.

I've tried this and the last dab. Last dab is extremely hot but still enjoyable in small amounts to me. The chip was straight up mouth torture for 10 minutes even with water followed by excruciating stomach pain for 6 hours. Regrets were had.

It is terrifying, horrifying, mortifying even. It’s horrible lol
I put myself in a zen like state, the pain was pretty much over in 10ish minutes... but by the time I had swallowed it I immediately started hiccupping. THAT was the painful part, they were such hard hiccups that I got a headache. The whole thing was... not even worth it lol.
As someone who regularly eats hot stuff and is no stranger to Carolina Reaper or Scorpion Pepper sauces/powder this chip is beyond spicy. I went an hour and a half without water/food and the heat remains constant for a solid 10 to 15 minutes and is mostly gone by 30 minutes. The heat in your stomach remains until you get rid of it, however, and I had a horrible horrible horrible acid reflux experience with it later that night (vomiting).
I absolutely do not recommend this chip to anyone. If you're doing it for a challenge then sure, but if you're like me and just doing it for the experience skip it. It is not fun, it doesn't taste good, and it is simply the worst kind of heat. If you want to test yourself with heat then get reaper and scorpion powder and make your own blend. This challenge is terrible mainly because it is like eating a spoonful of cinnamon. So much powder and no liquid or anything to help it go down. Honestly, it is really gross.

I thought I was going to asphyxiate. I couldn’t breathe from the heat and the vomit in my sinuses. It was the worst experience of my life.

I feel like Sean at 7:50 didn't actually NEED to drink - I think he's demonstrating why he's such a great host through a bit of psychology. He knew she was struggling, and made the choice to pretend to give in, so that she would either a) feel comfortable giving up as well, knowing she'd lasted longer than him - or b) rally and stay strong. He put her fully in control of how long they lasted, regardless of how it made him look, and that's honestly awesome hosting.

Did this challenge before seeing this vid, and I'm pleased to say I made it through the full hour when even the mighty Sean Evans was hurting so bad. Honestly, if you make it through the first 10-15 minutes, the rest of the hour without food or beverage doesn't get any harder. It kinda hits your guts right away and this year's recipe has something that brings on the hiccups. My strategy was to chew and swallow like a machine to get it down as quickly as possible, then immediately wash my hands, grab a tissue, and sit down to watch a movie. If I had to keep up a conversation, it would have been a very different type of challenge.
Guys I did this once and I couldn't even last 30 seconds. That shit had me dying, literally. The worst pain I've felt in my entire life. Even with milk and bread support I couldn't handle it one bit. That california reaper literally took my soul that day

Idk man, Elizabeth Olsen handled her wings with some legit chaos magic. And I revisited Anderson Paak's and...bruh might be dying as bad as Sasha on the OCC if he ever does it, but for the most part, handled Da Bomb well on vegan nuggets (which I'm pretty sure even he admitted were gross). Actually Tenacious D handled their spice well on the actual chicken wings too (and IIRC, they might have complained about as much as Gervais did, if not more.)
But the OCC is a different Final Boss than even Truth or Dab, man
She’s a treat. Great personality, great fit athletic shape and super pretty. Plus she’s willing to go through these crazy challenges.
