Just bought a 1973 Moto Guzzi V7 sport made into racer by Evan Wilcox. He made the front fender, tank, side panels and rear tail section out of aluminum. It is stunning. Just bought it, haven't received it yet, I've only seen pictures and a short video of it but it is supposed to be in spectacular shape.
thanks for adding the contend bud, I don't have instagram & its very interesting and nice to see someone still using a gas torch for ally... old fashioned hard work there...
I have a Ducati 860 GT with a very similar tank. I always wondered how to make one . My bike is in full cafe racer trim with a hand made aluminium fairing, tank, side panels and tail unit plus clip on handle bars and rear sets. The whole effect looks much like a 900ss but subtly different. No idea who made it, it's a 1976 bike so whoever it was may no longer be with us. She is showing her age now with a pleasing patina and I love the appearance. Keep up the good work, are you training an apprentice? Otherwise these old skills of proper craftsmanship will eventually disappear. A very informative video. Thank you.
@@philhawley1219 I just put together these video clips from Evan's Instagram page where he posts his work continuously. I've built a bike myself with tank and all which you can see in my other videos but I'm just a beginner at this.

That's beautiful
Oh my gosh! How much does it cost to have him handwork a beautiful tank like that!?
Don't know, but he seem to make a tank within a week and a simple one in just a few days so that might give you some idea.
@@Henrik.Yngvesson yea. Times are tough now with the cost of aluminum ...
