Yes, an introduction to British cooking. Ginger Nuts are known in the USA as Ginger Snaps. UK biscuits are called cookies in the US. There is no direct equivalent to US biscuits in the UK except some similarity to the scone. The sweetener called Golden Syrup is unique to the UK, with no direct US equivalent.

My Nan always called Golden Syrup "Cocky's Joy", Australian bushmen were (and often still are) called "Cockys" and the Golden Syrup was often part of their rations. As a kid I used to think "Cocky's" referred to the Cockatoo (a common large white parrot, known the world over these days) because they love Golden Syrup spread on small pieces of bread, but it's really the old bush cockys it's referring to. Here in Australia it's very common, you can buy it in the sugar section of any supermarket, and is the key ingredient required to make our famous Anzac biscuits, which are also available everywhere here. I reckon just about every Australian kitchen has a bottle of it somewhere. I know mine does. See my other comment for a bit more history. Cheers from down under 🙂
As it should be, it’s so satisfying to know that everything is polished properly, even though it can’t be seen in the finished bike. Attention to fine details, love it.

You have to be proud of yourself with the immediate start of the engine that was completely disassembled, refurbished,refined, and put back into operational mode by one man! Superbly done Mr. Millyard. And only one cookie? Slipping up there 😂.

I love the fact everything is done up or undone by hand instead of the usual battery tool whizzing things up. I prefer the ole manual method, keeps one more in touch with what is being worked on.... feel is everything.

My favourite program, don't mind the wait between episodes, was my first encounter with this channel but have watched all the others now. Used to rebuild my motocrossers but nowhere near Allens league, did remember Plastiguage from watching one, had completely forgotten about using them at one point.

Once again, I was really impressed by your excellent skills in assembling the machine while meticulously fixing the defects. I also enjoy your humorous scenes of your wife making sweets and observing lovely animals gathering in the garden.The ginger cookies this time looked delicious, but the most enjoyable part of this video for me was the scene where you showed us a tachometer rotation test using a lawn mower engine.
I think the next video will finally complete the restoration of this monster machine, and I look forward to the next one.
