Whatever you are doing now Sam I wish you the best of luck and good fortune and thanks also for always representing the face and the attitude of a real engineer.
I still believe it was a False widow bite, they live among the stuff these guys just grab on the show, quite a few people over the years have suffered from False black widow bites, apparently been in the uk for over a hundred years, the only spider with fangs strong enough to pierce human skin
Sam has been too busy to film for Henrys show because he has been restoring two Brough Superiors that were fire damaged, he said this on stage at the NMC last year, there’s no mystery about his absence.
For those wishing to know what actually happened to Sam Lovegrove, towards the end of his final series his health started to deteriorate and he was advised to take some time away from from the TV production schedule to recuperate. Although quite rare, the condition is well known amongst performers, actors and throughout the creative arts industry. It starts with mild flu like symptoms and can lead to extreme fatigue and despondency. Doctors first became aware of In patere cacas, in the early days of broadcasting, when cast members of the '50s US show 'I love Lucy' began to complain of tiredness and headaches on set. Further research demonstrates that In patere cacas is not unusual, especially for those involved in regular TV appearances, such as sitcoms, soaps and more formulaic media. Anyway, I'm sure we all wish Sam well
I have only recently found this show and have been watching it a lot, I would be very happy to see the show brought back, they are really good together and it's great to get a second look at the vehicles from my youth.
I'm really not sure about the bug bite scenario. I heard that he simply wanted to spend more time working in his own shed, working on personal projects.
Now, I do like Sam Lovegrove & Allen Millyard. Both are natural, instinctive & gifted Engineers. Henry Cole's use to them in the Team is to make the Tea, Sweep Up & Switch the Lights Off when they go home.
"The rest of us" Don't speak for other people. I would that rather than "the rest of us" being tired of Henry's "bullshit" it is just you and possibly a few others a minority, in other words, but certainly not "the rest of us "
Sam lives about a mile from me as the Crow flies, and as you should be aware keeps to himself. Love to see and hear the comments made that ordinary people like him and dislike Henry and others similar such as Mike Brewer etc. Why is it that the Television Companies fail to see what the viewers see instantly, Ed China was the Star and Sam carried Henry Cole!
I liked the shed and buried early seasons when spending a couple of grand seemed a good amount of money to risk. Now money seems like no object to Henry and the only people he can sell to are his rich mates.
This video takes 9 1/2 minutes to basically not answer the question in the title i.e. "What happened to Sam lovegrove" Sadly you won't find the answer in the video!
I think there was a clash when Allan Millyard turned up. Nothing worse than someone turning up with a different way of doing things. A clash of personalities, I think.
Hardly answered the question “what really happened to Sam Lovegrove” did it. Waste of everyone’s time. May have been of interest if more appropriately titled.
I’m betting it was after Henry sold a motorbike that Sam wanted to keep for a tiny amount more than Sam had offered. This was after Henry playing his “keep it card” on lots of items and usually at cost price too. One rule for Henry, and another rule for Sam. Truth is, it was Sam that made the show, because Henry couldn’t do anything more than point a power washer at items or rub rust off with a bit of wire wool. Big mistake Henry . . . . . . . Shed and Buried went downhill at a rapid rate of knots once Sam stopped being the mechanical genius that actually made the show worth watching.
I am older than Sam but I learnt a lot about gunked up carb jets and poor petrol supply and wish him all the best in health and whatever whatever he does in the future. I hope he returns to the screen for shed and buried even if it's only to see him drink tea.
Is this video primarily a show for us Brits? If so, why on earth does the narrator mention Sam's wealth in Dollars? Sam's wealth is his business not ours. I can tell you, that when I've been across the pond, I've never ever heard the yanks talk about anything in 'Pounds'. We use Pounds here not dollars so stick to that!
Well that was a waste of time. not only was the commentary repetitive but so was the footage. A title to grab attention but with no substance. I know nothing more than i did 10 minutes ago. If you look at comments before viewing don't bother to watch it.
Henry always speaks using quaint expressions. For him to say Sam was "bitten by a bug" could mean anything from being bitten by an actual bug, to having caught a virus, to having found a new all consuming project. It's always contextual with Henry. I wouldn't put any trust in this AI generated interpretation of our eccentric friend's choice of words.
What a load of old "Shite!" This has absolutelty no insight as to why Sam is no longer with the show, other than a, "medical episode with an insect." Whoever is narrating this, does it very well. However, the whole episode is "cut" and "shut," with no pre-thought to the finished clip. (My mother did better with a bloody Cine Super 8 on our summer holidays, way back in the 60's! No cut an shut there, unless you were rich! Also. If I see that phuqing 98cc Excelsior Consort, once more! By the way, Andy Tiernan had the bent frame straightened. Professionally.) The man Sam, is an Engineer. A highly skilled professional within the automotive world. This RUclips clip needs "binning." Best wishes Sam. I hope you are all fit and well, and back to some real, wholesome "stuff," with some good old archaic fun included.👍👍👍
Wow that's some serious repetition whist actually saying virtually nothing. Sounds like my dad after a bottle of red 😂. Unfortunately, S&B is pretty weak without the boy Lovegrove. Plenty of polishing chrome but the technical stuff is now virtually ignored 😢.
it was a tick bite causing limes desease, my friend has the same very debilitating, limes desease is more prevalent in Cornwall, pity reall because the new line up is crap. Juhaptergee
Not sure if the bug bite story is true. He was involved in a number of projects which occupied his time and made him more money. If it was a bug bite, well, Cornwall isn't known for its dangerous insect stock. It could be Lyme's disease which can be easily caught in the South West region.
False widow bite , has been known to put some people in hospital, they are fine unless disturbed, hide in dark places eg , sheds outbuildings, are very prevalent in Cornwall.
What a crap video. If we didn't know what TV shows Sam's been in we certainly do now. It would be helpful if they actually knew what had happened to Sam.
Well, THAT TOLD US BUGGER ALL,
This could be 9 minutes shorter...
Absolutely agree... all i need to know is... he alive... is he not... done 😂
What a long bullshit story
"He's a private person...", so that's why there is little information here.
Something along the lines “no idea”
More AI waffle methinks
Whatever you are doing now Sam I wish you the best of luck and good fortune and thanks also for always representing the face and the attitude of a real engineer.
So, after watching a video titled "What Really Happened to Sam Lovegrove", I am none the wiser as to what really happened to Sam Lovegrove. Oh well...
I still believe it was a False widow bite, they live among the stuff these guys just grab on the show, quite a few people over the years have suffered from False black widow bites, apparently been in the uk for over a hundred years, the only spider with fangs strong enough to pierce human skin
Job done Clikbaited par excellence

I love the 2 of them but I love n miss Sam hope he is recovering well xx
More information here than in the video!! Thanks!!
Very clever . And correct
That told us everything that we don't know already.
What tripe. No news at all. Nine minutes of my life I won't get back.
Henry Cole is too used to getting his own way , yes i know its his show but he doesn't actually do much , its the other presenters who do the work. 😊
Hates to let anyone else buy anything aswell...absolute SPOILT BRAT.. NUF SED😢
…..he always makes sure they know where their place is.😅
ETEN say no more!!😂😂
though he pays for the party...
@user-fz8fy4zl1c aye Cole is little more than an Eton scarecrow tbh.
I have only recently found this show and have been watching it a lot, I would be very happy to see the show brought back, they are really good together and it's great to get a second look at the vehicles from my youth.
Got to say S&B is nowhere as good without Sam, that fizz/fuzz Townsend is useless and devoid of a personality.
I'm really not sure about the bug bite scenario. I heard that he simply wanted to spend more time working in his own shed, working on personal projects.
Yes, and to spend more quality time with his family
He has his own bike building and restoration company. He gor busier with that, so doesn't have the time for TV work that he doesn't need to do.
He has his own business interests and has spent a very successful time with Henry so he probably just feels like a change. Why all the fuss?
Now, I do like Sam Lovegrove & Allen Millyard.
Both are natural, instinctive & gifted Engineers.
Henry Cole's use to them in the Team is to make the Tea, Sweep Up & Switch the Lights Off when they go home.
And to pay to make the show.....
I heard that Lovegrove was having Henry's baby and its so hideous that he's locked himself in a monastery.😮😮😮
He probably got sick of Henry and his BS like the rest of us have
I don’t think it’s BS

Certain amount of truth there, Henry and his new mate bore us all to death and the show has become too familiar.

Think Sam lovegrove got pissed off with h.c, super inflated ego and has gone back to his wonderful engineering
Yeah, cos Sam didn't realise Henry had an 'ego' in the previous 35 years they've been best mates 🤦♂️ @@andrewcitizennotsubject8897

Bring back Sammy and get rid of Fuzz. He is an embarrassment.
He's like a spare prick in a Brothel... get rid😢
Yes not the same with fuzz sam can fix anything fuzz is a gofa
Sam didn't get bitten. He took time off to rebuild his Brough Superior. This is absolute guff with an A.i narration as well I think
I prefer Sam as a presenter more than Henry...Man! Come back Sammy, we miss you. Is it me, Or is Henry mentioned more than Sam...Again...
Sam and Edd China now that would be a show.
SAM OBIOUSLY DIDN'T WANT TO BROW NOSE A MASON WITH A HUGE MOUTH AND NO TALENT LIKE CLARKSON, TIM SHAW, MIKE BREWER, TIF NEEDEL
TWAT
So after watching all that dross nobody is any the wiser. 😑😑😑
He’s buried under the shed! Shed & buried! Of course. I always thought that Cole guy, was a bit strange?
I think Sam just prefers to be his own man.
So many words, so much bollocks...
Keep your head down Sam 😁
Whatever has happened with Sam, I wish him all the best. Supremely talented guy who is sorely missed
Be Well, Sam Lovegrove, you are sadly missed from television. Whatever the reasons. Your private life is your own.
Well that was a waste of time
Turned off after 4 mins. It just goes over what they fixed and nothing to do with the title.

this has brought all the wingers out. Henry and Sam are a good team always interesting/ Briddy UK
Henry visited Sam in Cornwall in the last series of the Motorbike Show. He's been working on his own projects.

Yes we know all about what shows he has been on get to the point what happened tohim bla bla bla .
This video could have been titled 'What Really Happened to King Arthur', being as useful at answering that question, too.
The lawn mower was Henry Cole’s finest moment
Just a re - hash of previous news ( or non-news)
Could it be due to a certain medical intervention that was prevalent at that exact time???
my god, losts of talk without saying anything (non news)
Hurry up and get back on the shows with Henry your missed.
Old hippies do'nt die, they just trip away
A bug bite, apparently he's turned into a giant moth and only comes out at night so he can't film during daylight hours.

I miss Sam he was knowable
I think you mean 'knowledgeable'
Crap ?
We just want to no is he coming back to Shed a Buried???
Love love love SAM . He's gorgeous 😍
Shed & Buried, Junk & Disorderly were my favourite programs while Sam was in them but now I don't watch either.

This video should be about 1/3 it's actual length! 🤔🤔
And what's not said is that Sam Lovegrove helped make this video.
Sam was the man.
Load of tosh. This guy rabbits on about everything, but you learn nothing. Click bait.
Brilliant man and very knowledgeable.
Jeez, what a bore fest.
This is what one calls just for clicks. He claims to have the answer but his nose was growing so big he forgot to give the answer 😡😡😡😡
If you look at the channels other videos they all follow a similar pattern.
