In an alternate 1985 where former superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach into his own sprawling investigation, uncovering something that could completely change the course of history as we know it.
Hard to believe that Jackie Earle Haley is such a nice, soft spoken, happy guy. Especially when he plays such a fearful character like Rorschach.

people really gave this movie bad reviews ,personally i loved it ..great story ,great directing ,music and Rorschach is just one of the best comic book character performances
I think it's cause a lot of people didn't see the uncut version.
Actually it's got some pretty great reviews. Nobody really flat out hated it. Some just barely didn't like it and the ones that did loved it. Personally I thought movie was better than all comic book movies we've gotten in the past 2 years
its not about the uncut version, its about the movie which is suppose to be philosophical, and ppl are expecting some bad a$$ fighting scenes... its not about superheroes, its about philosophy projected onto them...
naah! the comic is about that, philosophy. let the movie be just a movie. a good one by the way.

Jackie makes the growling voice cool, christian bale makes it hilarious. props to haley for an outstanding performance as always
Yeah. I love Bale but his Batman voice is too forced.
Christian bale over did it to the point where is just too goofy. Haley made it sound like it was just a guy with a gruff voice extenuated by his anger. Even so I think he over did it just a little
If you ask me, Bale’s Batman voice in Batman Begins is fine. Most people seem to overlook Batman Begins though.

@@hammeringhank5271 If you didn’t know, that wasn’t Bale’s real voice. He couldn’t do the voice anymore (From Batman Begins) cause it strained his throat and vocal chords too much so post production made it that way and went overkill with it.

I think one of the policemen, when Rorshac is capured, flat out states that he is wearing stilts in his shoes.

I'd love to see all of Rorschach's scenes with just the preliminary eye-holed mask showcasing Haley's piercing scowls, makes for a fairly distinctive & striking looking costume unto itself based on this footage...

Yep a movie based on a comic book totally holds secrets about the the USA I'm sure the director knows about it and wanted a place he could tell people. At least 4 conspiracies are confirmed in this movie. Spoiler alert, we did 9/11

I just finished reading Watchmen and I am blown away. And currently watching the movie right now. But there are certain things in the comic that weren't in the movie. Maybe if I watch the ultimate cut I'll probably see them?

The button on his left shoulder isn't attached to the strap and that bothers me everytime I see scenes of rorschach

In the graphic novel the shoulder strap is used as a symbolism to show the viewers how far gone Walter Kovac is and how Rorschach is all that’s left depicted by the unhinged shoulder strap rewatch the movie and pay attention to that detail there are scenes where it is fully clasped (Walter Kovac) and scenes where it is unlatched (Rorschach) and times when it is halfway attached. Two of the scenes I think are the most pertinent is when Rorschach wants to attack comedian but Nite owl 2 holds him back and fixes his shoulder strap which calms Rorschach down also in his death scene the strap is completely unlatched matching his unhinged mindset of black and white which ultimately causes his death by Manhattan
Like to point out Rorschach is the result of being too much of a reliable narrator so much so his narration cannot be known.

I must say Zack can make a great gritty Watchmen comic movie but a hopeful DC movie is a another story
Rome Janairo I'm a fan of Zack, and even I admit Justice League wasn't his finest hour. And granted that could be because of executive meddling, reshoots that were rushed months before the film's release, and of course, the moustache.

Swagkiller 2017 It came from a dress a lady ordered, but refused to pay for because she thought it was ugly. Rorschach took it, he didn't think it was ugly at all.

Rorschach doesn't call it his mask. He calls it his face. A truth he chooses to show to the world, whether it wants to see it or not.
I loved this movie except for the ending
I thought the ending was one of the best parts. Absolutely amazing. Was it a good ending or a bad one? Who was right? Should anything have been done differently? COULD it?

i like the Watchmen characters. i feel like making a blender animated movie about them where i can make them cooler, less intense and give them a better plot and connect them to the justice league
