- Bruno Senna pays tribute to his uncle Ayrton Senna’s iconic opening lap of the 1993 European Grand Prix at Donington Park in a McLaren Senna.
Ayrton Senna’s drive to victory at the 1993 European Grand Prix at Donington Park circuit is famed for his ‘Lap of the Gods’ at the beginning of the race, a lap that is regarded as one of the greatest moments in Formula 1 history - Not only was the opening lap spectacular, Senna’s race victory was dominant, and the 1:18.029 lap record that Ayrton Senna set remains the fastest Formula 1 race time at the circuit.
Thirty years on, we return with Bruno Senna to pay tribute to one of Formula 1’s greatest performances and set a lap record in a production road car: the McLaren Senna, our most track-oriented McLaren Ultimate model.

@@McLarenAutomotiveTV Thanks for the reply but when are you going to attempt the Nordschleife record?

❤❤❤❤❤
what is the new production car lap record that the Senna set?
1.30.5
@@McLarenAutomotiveTV thanks! That’s crazy fast for the full GP circuit.
They should let drivers who are still alive from 1993 wet race in road cars like Porsche and Ford gt like hill Brundle and Patrese plus some name from father like mick and Nicolas to remake that race
The description reads, and I quote, “

Point 1: What is the lap time?
Point 2: Where is the lap?
Point 3: Where’s the proof?
Point 4: I could make a video like this and say I’ve broken the Nurburgring lap record - our videos would both be the same because we both wouldn’t have any proof, any onboard footage etc..
Pointless video without the proof, the lap time, the onboard footage. Take a look at Honda, for example. Their FL5 lap record at the Nurburgring showed everything from start line to finish line. Why didn’t this?
we uploaded the full lap as a separate video - enjoy!
@@McLarenAutomotiveTV bit silly that, should’ve been incorporated into this video as a whole, instead of a separate video…
@@ChrisOnCars47Bro, this is a montage and context, I would rather have the lap separate 😂
Before 1976 Champion and F1 Commentator James Hunt died
This car could be driven by Bruno Senna at Interlagos Circuit on the weekend of Sao Paulo's Grand Prix next November. How about it?
And I thought I was good in wet weather in f1 23…
very nice ¦:¬)
Where's the onboard?
Live now!
So what was the lap time?
take a look at our recent upload
@@McLarenAutomotiveTV so impressive well done 👍👌
Mclaren focus should be on car quality and customer service. The cars are really fast but equally fast in depreciation because of this. Mclaren has great potential but why not put the Senna marketing budget on hold and spend it on quality control and customer service. This clip left me with the same McLaren feeling allot of talk and no on-board video.
