- My GT1 Lamborghini Murcielago project is back in the workshop for some new toys - A Haltech Nexus R5 ECU and we set about fitting 12 EGT sensors to the Reiter Engineering GT1 Headers.

Absolutely hands down, and I really mean this, this is THE best looking Murci on this planet right now! Just looking at it is breathtaking, but then you see the work gone into, body, interior and engine and im speechless! Other RUclipsrs should use this car as the bar for what a Murci should look like, I'm looking in your direction DDE! 😁
Forget anyone else's Murcie, this is definitely the best, best Lamborghini in general IMO, there's only one Murcie that's even _REMOTELY_ modified as awesome and as tastefully as this one, and it still doesn't even come close, and it sure as hell isn't someone famous or Daily Driven's.... it's a young kids Murcie, I always forget his name, I think he's only active on Instagram, he's always got his little dog in the passenger seat with him and it's his daily driver and he beats the ever loving 💩 out of it constantly like a Lamborghini should be.... he's constantly changing stuff on the car, but again, it's still nowhere near Phil's.

The Murcielago is what brought me to this channel and while yes, it looks amazing and I'm super happy it still gets upgrades and attention from you, what I really wanted to point out and stood out for me is the reinforcement Phill gave Jay regarding his welds. This is the best rendition of the GT1 race car that’s ever been done from someone outside of the Lamborghini teams/partners. Completely insane amount of work and love went into this build that’s clear to see. I really hope that this gets as much attention as any other builds that have been done to show off what’s really possible with tons of time, money, blood, sweat and tears. Absolutely stunning bro. Oh this is dope - I want a whole series on the haltech implementation from install, wiring to programming and then tuning!
I use those type of fitting at work for my hydrogen stuff, swagelok brand in stainless steel. They are super expensive but work quite well. To be leak free on gases, the manual says that you can start to tighten the fitting until the tube is locked in translation (but not in rotation) then give it 1 and 1/4 turn (from 4mm tubing size and above) I believe. After a few you can feel how they get indeed.

Welding’s coming on nicely Jay. Glad to see you purging it, definitely needed to keep the weld stable with thin wall stainless. See you’ve got one of Jodi’s TIG Fingers there, they look really handy, no pun intended!

Top tip on good drill bits - I bought a set of cobalt bits from Banggood and they have been superb, I have drilled all sorts with them and they just keep cutting.

On the subject of drills, I have found the Erbauer drills from Screwfix really good. They cut well and seem to last in the DIY environment.

Hands Down the Best looking Murcialago ( in Damons Italion) just couldn't Daily Drive! Just needs a McLaren F1 Airbox and some Gold insulating foil for more Bling and even more Screaming 12 cylinder sounds.

must be great to work with your mate at something you both love and get to make a living out of it. Love the attention to detail on the install and having them all at the 12 o'clock.
Top tip for drilling, or starting a hole, use a tec screw, cheap and cheerful and starts the hole off without too much fuss

Although Damon’s car may not be this detailed, there’s no question that Mike Essa’s work (however small it may be in comparison) is exceptional.
I haven't seen it, but I know Mikes work from back in the day on BMW drift cars and he's great at what he does.

The ceramic oxide coating is probably whats making the drilling difficult. Dormer Ti nitride drill bits are usually pretty decent on stainless, but ceramic oxide is similar stuff to the abrasive on high end sanding discs for grinders!

A gorgeous car. Built not brought and definitely driven 😅. I also love the forklift to get it on the lift and then both of you leaning over the paint work with jeans on, trying to get those exhaust headers off and on 😂😂. Some people would cry if you did that to their car 😅

Only 3 things missing now... Nice Cold air intake for the engine, heatshield over thé headers, for the top cover gaskets to last longer, and no heat interférences in the intake, and some hydrolic lifters, in case you need to lift the car on the road, and no forklifts available...
But i really love the job you do on cars, like the V10 S85 E46 m3
