Russell said “I had a good game if I held Wilt under 40 points and 30 rebounds”
The force of Shaq in the air always altered the defender, not Shaqs motions.
Wilt 99% of the time used his opposite hand to block an opponents shot....this meant his body was never in contact with the offensive player....he went always for the ball... never the player and never fouled out of a game in his nba career....
He once blocked a player and dislocated his shoulder....but he played the ball and not the man...
Someone like Shaquille would have been a challenge and at his peak before he lost his lateral movement through an injury he dominated and dominated individual players easily an example in 1972 when he won his final championship he blocked kareem 23 times in six games....wilt would have risen to the challenge of shaq, he did it to numerous players in his era and did it to magic when retired.....
WILT WOULD DOMINATE SHAQ
Rip willt
They HATED wilt in the media. After this they kept fact checking and even asked Arnold who said of course he could 😂
I wonder what he would have thought of the game now in the 2020s
was a cool dude
Wilt the stilt is the GOAT in my opinion....and Shaq is a great player but not in the class of Wilt in his prime...
Amen !
He hated Wilt the Stilt. He was Dipper. But you are correct.
GODS LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO ALL.. MYSELF LOVE WILT CHAMBERLAIN AS A BASKETBALL PLAYER..BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER OR WILL BE..OK SMART KNOW THE GAME SUPERIOR HANGTIME SUPER VERTICAL JUMP MOST POWERFUL INCREDIBLE SPEED.. MY OPINION SUGGESTIONS LISTEN GO BACK WATCH OLD VIDEO VIEWS WITH WILT ...TOM TOM
Why are you yelling at us???

Wilt ain't benching no 600lbs
I don't think people get that back then... they literally had players that were just goons in hockey and he NBA! They didn't need to score, it was great when they did, but they were there to take fouls and draw blood!
This was 2 years before he passed away. He looked really healthy. I wonder what happened
Here’s the difference between Wilt and Shaq : they made rules to make it harder for Wilt to dominate . In contrast , they made things easier for Shaq to appear to be awesome , including letting him push people around without fouls .
Wilt would’ve eaten Shaq with toast for breakfast in their primes
Wilt would smoke Shaq
I saw him bench 500
Wilt has 42 NBA records still stand today
Don’t see what benching 600 pounds will do for you, whenever you’re playing post defense you’re using your legs and core a lot more.
good point tbh, but wilt was just tryna convey the message that hes like "built different" or smth yk, even if obviously using a bench comparison to compare basketball players strength is stupid he probably just spat that out randomly out of his competitive nature, without thinking about it (also perhaps cuz throwing players around seemed fairly normal in the 60s lmaoooo)
Early 1960s wilt woulld ve Pushing shaq out of the paint area of the basket 🧺
@@Loydstardeli2017 ☠️would he? I mean there’s a reason a lot of the big football guys focus on the squat not the bench. Benching doesn’t add much to sorts
Kareem Abdul jabber learn he had to get a little stronger in the 1980s, nba centers were pushing him around , this isn't the 1960s nba players& NFL players, NHLplayers,Major league ⚾️ baseball didn't know what a weight room was, bill Russell was alway skinny Willis reed was very very strong non weightlifter
Wilt would run Shaq up and down that court, wearing him out, QUICKLY.
600 lbs is a stretch, thats a lot of weight for someone with arms as long aa his, maybe wide grip but i seriously doubt it.
If he could bench 400 I would be impressed. He doesn't have th rebuild or size for 600. Seems suspect
He doesn’t really have the size or build to be a world class high jumper either but here we are.
@@someoldguy5316100% had the build to be a world class jumper…. His likes are like 4 ft tall
@@someoldguy5316legs
He did the college shot put 56 ft in the NCAA! Someone who can do over 50ft can bench over 400lbs!
@someoldguy5316 judge him from the 60s not the 90s
Wilt was a monster but to sit there and act like Shaq would have been light work for him is delusional. Haha
Shaq's career average minutes per game is 34.7
Meanwhile Wilt holds the NBA record for career average minutes per game at 45.8, which is a full 3.5 minutes higher than the #2 spot.
The stamina difference between the two is absolutely massive. While Shaq is sitting on the bench gasping for air, Wilt is still out on the court terrorizing whoever was put in for him.
Shaq likes 2 say he’s the most “dominant” ever. Wilt could’ve played Shaq’s game but Shaq couldn’t play Wilt’s game. He wouldn’t be able 2 muscle Wilt in the post. Wilt could shoot and Shaq could not. He would’ve had some long nights trying 2 guard Wilt.
Good fight
Like Wilt didn't use his physicality when he put 100 points on the board...
No way he benched 600lbs. Also said he ran the 100m in 9.5 seconds (a world record) and slept with 20,000 women lol
100 yards, actually. Which is very believable
Wilt couldve stopped orlando shaq NOBODY in the world could stop 3 peat shaq
600 pound bench I doubt that! I would have to see it.
*Dead in the middle of Little Italy, little did we know that we riddled two middlemen who didn't do diddly.*
No way he was benching that
He's not lying, this is known. He had a very unique body.
@@johna8291 oh really is it on video or documented no its what he said go watch powerlifters and how hard it is to bench 600lbs raw he's full of shit
@@bradboisvert4892just like Bo Jackson 4.12 40 yd. Mantle and Ruths 600 ft homers, Bruce Lee breaking nunchucks and kicking sandbags in half. Can't believe people believe this bullshit. they know nothing about athletic feats.
I call cap he was benching 600 pounds maybe 400 and that's being generous
Sounds like Lebron James.
Jumped higher than jordan...stronger than shaq...as fast as lebron.
He is the greatest of all time.
