The husband and neighbors showed what real men do, which is protect those who are not as strong, I'm so proud when I see people put others above themselves. God bless you all
Agree! Refreshing to see good men in the news!!
Were they able to save their pets, I wonder?
Inspirational!!! Thank you "mom" and thank you news nation for Sharing/posting!!! 🙏💙💔
Her husband deserves a lot of the credit for them surviving - good decision making many times. And everyone's courage was immense.
Love thy neighbor and always be humble and kind. Its God's way.
You have not read his book then ?

What a terrifying and unexpected ordeal to go through. Your husband had good instincts and fought to save his family. So glad your son had swimming lessons. Now I’m thinking of purchasing life vests for my grandchildren. And thank God for your wonderful neighbors and community. ❤
Thank you Lord for saving all these people😢
If you go in an attic during a flood you have to bring an axe 🪓 to breakthrough the roof.
We saw so many tragic deaths during Katrina because people drowned in their attacks . 💔
How terrifying 😢
Thank-You LORD!!!
Its easy to see why so many people didn't survive. Escaping alis a physical challenge that not many people can do. Imagine if you had an injury, disability or illness when this happened 😢
If the two neighbors rescued that entire family from the roof with two kayaks , where did they take them to ? If there were several children and adults , how many trips did it take to return to the roof , amidst a raging deluge of roiling , pounding , rushing flood water ? And how long did it take ? What was their capacity for extended paddling ? My kayak only had room for me ! I had to keep one for emergencies because I lived on the Mississippi River and Wolf River in Germantown / Memphis , Tennessee. I also had a staircase built inside the attic to exit in high water . My home was approximately the highest point in Shelby County , where Memphis is located . It was the contractors home , who built all of Germantown , and then moved down to develop Desoto , Mississippi . He chose to live on the highest spot in the county , although later contenders say Eade on the county border is as high . I became really frightened when I did not have a boat , yet I noticed square sockets in the driveway's pebbletop cement that looked like that's where the boathouse had been . If it was important enough for him to build a boathouse , I felt alarmed and vulnerable without a boat , until I purchased one . The developer , Mr. Robert N. Stockett , was the father of Katherine Stockett , who wrote the book The Help , which the movie of the same name was based on . I have no experience with any kayaks or canoes , although my mother was an experienced and well traveled canoeist who attended Nursing School at Charity Hospital , New Orleans , Louisiana ; which was submerged by Hurricane Katrina while I was in Memphis . She was from the N.C. mountains where she , and now we heirs own property , but I need a driver for my car to get up there to see what condition it is in , from the N.C. Piedmont where I am . I currently need vision improvement to legally drive my car .
What happened to their pets? How traumatic!
Pets are part of the family but maybe they could only save the babies?
yeah wondering the same, the fact she doesn't mention them going to the roof with them makes me think they might've left them in the attic, I wish they said if they survived :(
You should
Never go to the attic. It’s a no way out situation. Just get to the roof. People should have life vests and kayaks close by if you’re in a flood zone.
lots of people did not expect to be in a flood zone. the flash floods they experienced were totally unprecedented. even the floods of 1916 weren't as bad.
@@allister.trudelno they did not..I live in East Tennessee and we thought maybe little flooding and heavy winds ..Nothing like it did though..I actually slept through most of it ..Strange because storms usually scare me ..Another strange thing was I have a creek and a lake near me and the bridge coming to my house is not passable most time when there is lots of rain..This time no problem..My town here got no flooding but the town next door to mine was all under water ..It all was very shocking
What about the pets???!!!
In that situation pets are going to have to come second it sucks but they had two small children to rush through flooding waters to get on the roof imagine trying to save the animals and you lose your child or your life over it
Didn't answer the question.
I thought the same thing after she never mentioned the pets again....😢😢😢
Yeah, I'm very worried about them too.
I understand they need to get the children out, but couldn't they have at least let the pets out so they could try to swim, too?
It's heartbreaking everyone involved, I'm sure.
With prayers and support from Ohio. You are not alone, our Lord Jesus Christ is with all, in our time of need. Let us learn from this and remember all those who walked away and gave to others what was not theirs to give. I salute those men who displayed what men do in times of crisis..protect and serve.
So the people that died all prayed wrong ?
Some day you may come to know the lord.
@@JosephPetrie-ud2wh No thanks I read his book
🙏❤️
Praise God!
If you weren’t in this situation don’t judge them for taking their children over their pets
Children are more important than pets. How anyone could think different is just mind blowing. My children will always come before my pets. As much as I love my pets my children come first.
You never go in your attic unless you can get out of it... seriously that was terrible advice. You can get trapped there ... doesn't anyone read or watch the news ????
Yikes!
Thank you Jesus for theses people making it to safety and for the brave neighbors and this women husband for springing into action on the drop of a dime to save his kids and wife good man Hero

What happened to the pets
I know I think we're all asking that question but I think we all know the answer😢
I wonder if THE PEOPLE are going to be alright. I would save them before my animals.
Because your black little heart cannot love enough!
My pets are family!
@@endless_summer_rose
How many animals do you EAT on a daily basis? Beitch
@@Itzonleme not snakes like you
Of course you would but we would love to know what happened to them
Depends who the people are
I wonder if the pets were okay.
That's what I was thinking
Me too
No. Many pets will have perished just as many people have perished. It's called a disaster. It happens.
@@cs4201 it happens jf they leave them behind
..
Love u our president 2024.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So she left the pets behind? Wtf?
@@endless_summer_rose
Maybe she had to consider her babys or her pets.
@@Itzonleme she said they had a boat.
Also she was in the laundry room so they had baskets..
Never leave a pet behind, ever.
Also knew a storm was coming so either get out in time or prepare. They did neither
@@endless_summer_rose
You sure are one to pass judgment....not even knowing the whole story!
@@Itzonleme I'm stating the facts, if you cannot handle it's your problem.
Stfu they had to rush into flooding waters with two children who would not be any kind of strong swimmer
It sucks if they had to leave the animals but clearly them and their children were first priority
Your husband had our not my.. baby... please stop that ladies it's our baby not my baby..
