I always seem to romance Astarion lol, I literally had to do other saves so I wouldn't have to repeat the first act everytime, some with others to romance and others are saves just so I can see how everything turns out asking a different set of dialogues lol, that and I love the fact you can also romance Helsin and Astarion, both give amazing kisses, Helsins romance scene is almost as graphic as mintharas lol, you should def make a save where you can romance Helsin as well, and if you put them in the right night garments ❤❤ I use the trousers so you can see both their very tones muscles (either 6 or 8 packs lol) and Helsin has even more muscles then Astarion, but while his voice is hella sexy no one beats Astarion lol 🤭🤭🥰🔥

Also jumping in to add that becoming a true vampire (and who knows how much this quadruples when you literally exchange your soul to a King of the Nine Hells to Ascend) in DND lore means you lose your last bit of humanity/soul. They are no longer categorized as a person, like the other DND races, but as an official Monster, along with Beholders, Dragons, etc. This is also reflected when you read the writings strewn about Cazador’s castle (especially at the little altar on the side of the chamber Cazador tries to Ascend in). They imply Cazador’s own master, Vellioth, basically beat the last of his compassion, empathy, humanity out of him before making him a true vampire and drilling into him the 3 Lessons of Vampirism (one of which he taught to Cazador by having him impaled for 11 years 😰). Once you’ve lost your soul, you don’t become emotionless, but all your emotions get turned into their negative counterpart. Love becomes obsession & possessiveness, friendship becomes jealousy, etc. They seek out physical gratification for these cravings that were once softer, human emotions. So they did a very good job portraying that in Ascended Astarion. He is a smart man, & a preternatural creature that is MEANT to seduce their prey to boot. He’s manipulative as shit 😂. It’s in his nature now! And so many people are falling for it, sadly. Nothing wrong with Ascending Astarion or enjoying Ascended Astarion’s scenes/character. It’s fiction! It’s meant to be fun, to experience dangerous things in a safe context. But the amount of “Here’s Proof Ascended Astarion Actually Loves You” is…very concerning. He does have FEELINGS for Tav after he Ascends…but they are not love. He is physically incapable of it. Which isn’t his fault. But just reinforces this as his “bad” (and for me personally, extremely sad in the larger context of his trauma) ending.

(For the record, I'm non-binary & asexual, my gender is "idk what it is but it is NOT MALE" and yet *every single variation of this line* had me screeching like a squeaky toy being stabbed repeatedly with a fork. I UNDERSTAND how he's been doing this for centuries now... and I feel worse for him + the people he had to lure for Cazador.)
What does flirting bring atm? Nothing unfortunately. You can't enjoy romancing several companions anyway, after they broke the dialogues and animations with patch 4 :( Astarion, Gale, Wyll, also Shadowheart's quest partly, all broken now
You know flirting is a form of bonding with your partner when you're already in an established relationship? Flirting isn't something reserved solely for people newly courting each other.
Ascended Astarion is where it's at. I've done both play throughs and felt like Tav really had to assert their good nature over him and coerced him into being good/spawn when that's not really his true nature. He's been evil from the start afterall, of course he wanted to ascend and take power for himself and be Tav's protector instead of having to rely on them.
Are you sure he's been evil from the start? He literally got beaten to death by Gur as a magistrate because he was just. Centuries of being a sex slave and of being tortured corrupted and changed his personality. Even after being free from cazador the first time, he vows not to hurt innocent people for blood when he easily could've
@sabsain2399 in early access Astarion says he was a corrupt magistrate. It's also often referenced in other Forgotten Realms texts that the Gur were targets of prejudice, so one can assume that Astarion and most elves held a bias against them and ruled as such. Whatever his ruling as magistrate was, it was bad enough to have a gang of Gurs nearly beat him to death for it. I imagine he enjoyed playing his part in the political corruption of the city, he is a charlatan after all.

In canon, he was a just magistrate whose decision earned him the ire of evil gurs. Tav and Astarion even manage to make the distinction with the option that went something like, "you can't judge the currect gur you met because of the evil one in the past."

I'd consider Ascended Astarion lines flirty if they were consensual bedroom roleplay, but this is how he views Tav as a person. And he gets MEAN if you challenge him in any way. Imagine coping with that from your partner for a literal eternity.

If you're playing a male Tav, yes, he does say "bad boy"! (Nonbinary Tavs get "Tsk, tsk. *Very* bad.")
(For the record, I'm non-binary & asexual, my gender is "idk what it is but it is NOT MALE" and yet *every single variation of this line* had me screeching like a squeaky toy being stabbed repeatedly with a fork. I UNDERSTAND how he's been doing this for centuries now... and I feel worse for him + the people he had to lure for Cazador.)
What does flirting bring atm? Nothing unfortunately. You can't enjoy romancing several companions anyway, after they broke the dialogues and animations with patch 4 :(

Ascended Astarion is where it's at. I've done both play throughs and felt like Tav really had to assert their good nature over him and coerced him into being good/spawn when that's not really his true nature. He's been evil from the start afterall, of course he wanted to ascend and take power for himself and be Tav's protector instead of having to rely on them.
Are you sure he's been evil from the start? He literally got beaten to death by Gur as a magistrate because he was just.
Centuries of being a sex slave and of being tortured corrupted and changed his personality. Even after being free from cazador the first time, he vows not to hurt innocent people for blood when he easily could've
@sabsain2399 in early access Astarion says he was a corrupt magistrate. It's also often referenced in other Forgotten Realms texts that the Gur were targets of prejudice, so one can assume that Astarion and most elves held a bias against them and ruled as such. Whatever his ruling as magistrate was, it was bad enough to have a gang of Gurs nearly beat him to death for it. I imagine he enjoyed playing his part in the political corruption of the city, he is a charlatan after all.

He was supposed to be a corrupt NOBLE thirsting for the power of immortality.
In canon, he was a just magistrate whose decision earned him the ire of evil gurs.
Tav and Astarion even manage to make the distinction with the option that went something like, "you can't judge the currect gur you met because of the evil one in the past."
